| Congrats Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics won their 17th title in NBA history tonight, convincingly beating the Los Angeles Lakers by 39 points, winning the series 4 games to 2. The Boston Celtics played incredible defense led by their big 3 all stars - Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen. 2nd year point guard Rajon Rondo played amazingly with 5 steals in tonight's game. Finals MVP Paul Pierce played with all his heart and Ray Allen hit key shots, whom some consider the best pure shooter in NBA history. Kobe Bryant played well for the losing Los Angeles Lakers, and he and his team should be in contention for years to come, but it was Boston's year. And Kevin Garnett finally got his ring! Over a decade of playing 100% with all of his heart in Minnesota, he finally got his ring. One of the best sports moments I've witness all my life. Congrats Boston Celtics and KG!! (Big Ticket Kevin Garnett. One of my favorite athletes of all time) (Finals MVP Paul Pierce) (Paul Pierce and Ray Allen celebrating) (2008 NBA Champions Boston Celtics [and 11 time Celtic champion Bill Russell to the left, sportin' the gray beard]) Patriots. Red Sox. Celtics. Okay Boston, you've had enough. It's time for the Tampa Bay Rays! Hahaha
| Presidential Rant
John McCain might be the best candidate for president. I like Obama, but McCain's experience is incredible.
I think he's very balanced, and I think that gives him an edge. He's moderate. He understands both conservatism and liberalism. He understands both peace and war. He was a military officer and a prisoner of war.
I think he has a good grasp of how the world works. But he may be too honest to win.
People only want to hear what they want to hear (both right and left), and rarely ever want to hear how it is.
I like McCain (a lot.) I like Obama. But I feel like there is no "perfect pick" for president...
But when was the last time there was?

| LAST ENTRY (probably)
Hey everyone, This might be my last entry. Xanga is not as active as it used to be. I'm also finding I have less to say. I'm starting to blog, and I have my own personal journal, so it's a little redundant to post here. I might post again, who knows. But if not, it's been a fun ride! I had some cool entries, made some cool friends, and it's a cool 2-3 year record of parts of my life.
The one year anniversary of my dad's passing was the other day, on the 11th. It was a difficult couple of days, but I'm alright. I know he's in a better place. And I have good friends and family. I miss him.
Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone. Take it easy.

| Sen. John McCain for
President.
Yeah he's old, but he's one of the few honest politicians in Congress. He works with both parties, he's moderate, he has experience. He has massive experience in legislation and in the military. His voting record is strong.
And any person that survives 5 years in a prisoners of war camp without giving up information deserves respect.
In a year of crappy candidates, I think he's the best.
Just my opinion, don't have to take my word for it.
Super Bowl 42
Congrats to the New York football Giants for their underdog-end-of-the-game victory over the New England Patriots. Even though I was rooting for the record setting Pats, the Giants deserve respect. Late
in the 4th quarter Eli Manning somehow escaped being sacked multiple
times and threw a laser pass to David Tyree who somehow caught it
against his helmet and held onto it. A couple plays later they scored
the game winning touch down. Eli and the Giants proved all the
nay-sayers wrong and showed they have what it takes to be champions.
It can be inspiration to all of us when facing imposing obstacles. The
4th quarter was one of the best in Super Bowl history, and it was the
most watched Super Bowl ever, the second most watched television
program ever (behind the final episode of MASH I think.) Here's that amazing play:
| The New YearIt's 2008. Can you believe it? Time starts to fly when you hit your mid twenties man, I swear. I have a feeling this will be a great year. No, not a feeling. This WILL be a great year. I know that I will and am making strides in all areas of my life- health, wealth, demeanor, faith, friendship, understanding. I look forward to many work projects, traveling (maybe Illinois and California), and all sorts of things. I hope this is a good year for you too. Make it one. Jesus did say that we should ask, receive and believe. One of the many things that referes to is the power of our thoughts in relation to what we want to happen and what happens to us. So choose to be positive and hopeful. Happy 2008. Happy Birthday to one of the most extraordinary men in all of history- Martin Luther King, Jr. R.I.P. ScooterRest in Peace to my cat Scooter. He was 14 years old. He was my grandmother Ruth's cat and her best friend. He was a part Maine Coon and part pompus prince. In his younger days he was a tyrant but as he grew in age he grew in warmth and character. In 2000 he and my grandmother moved in with my family and I. My grandmother passed in 2005 and Scooter was good company for my mother. The last few months we finally let him outside (he grew up an inside cat) and he loved it. I woke up this morning and laid him to rest in a corner of the backyard with a little cat statue that looked like him. R.I.P. Scooter. (Scooter in the recycling box) (Scooter under the sink) I hope you all are doing well! | | |
