JSB @ the 40 Watt

So last night was one of the funnest nights that I have had since last year sometime. There were lots of other nights that will always remain in my heart as good times but for the sheer amount of fun and awesome hottness in such a small span of time, nothing tops the after Junior Senior Banquet party that Chris and I happen to stumble upon.
So I knew the Modern Skirts were going to be playing at the 40 Watt but what I wasn't expecting was The Bridges to be there too! After the banquet, I invited these two girls that apprantly have been at Toccoa for many years for some coffee at a little coffe shop called the Corner Cafe. It was here that we ran into my friend Jon Cole and The Bridges! I have run into Jon in so many different places, it is so weird. The lovely ladies of The Bridges convinced us to come to their show afterwards and maybe shake a little tail feather or two after the show.
The show was fantasmic! The Bridges and The Modern Skirts were amazing and the aftershow dance went into the wee hours of the night. But the one thing that stood out the most was watching my fellow wanderlust king working his magic with the lovely ladies of Athens. The girls absolutely loved Chris. Jon and I were...flabbergasted. Oh let the good times roll.
Well, it is now coming to an end, the Epoch of Kue. Only a couple more weeks and then there will only be a dust in the wind that was once Kue. So long and farewell. I'll be in Athens if you need me.

How to Break Up With Your Friend

Alright first things firsts: can you break up with your friend? If so, how did the friendship ever come to this?

You know, I've never been in this situation. This one is going down in The Annals of Kue, His Life's Story and Lessons. Actually, a whole chapter maybe devoted to it. Oh yeah, believe it. I have written many chapters already for this most auspicious tome.

So, back to the matter at hand. How do you break up with your friend. With a quickness is the right answer. Do not let it drag out where your feelings and emotions get dragged into it. It makes the "breakup" so much harder to do. You find yourself in a situation where you realize you actually love this person through and through. You hope for the best for this person and you want only the best for this person. But, and there is always a but, you do not like the new friends they are hanging out with. They know your thoughts and feelings, but they still engage and interact with those people you don't like. Do you do nothing and let it happen or do you say something? Cut it off. The sooner the better. It will be best this way because the ties you have already established probably and most likely will not be able to handle the stress of a long drawn out breakup.

How did it ever come to this? I ask that question myself now as I realize I'm going to be late for my meeting. So I'll make this brief. Relationships in general go through cycles and sometimes when you interrupt this cycle of relationships, confrontation and a conflict arise. The human response is to, like our brilliant psychologist and psychiatrists say, is to fight or flight. Most do not like fighting, so we fly. Flighting my friends, only prolongs the hurt and anguish. I hate flighting. ;) But I find myself, in that situation. I have flought away from what needed to be done: me growing up and being the man I should be. Instead I flighted to what I knew best and that was to be a douche bag. I hate douche bags, I hate myself. So if everyone should love themselves, then they better fight instead of flight. Now when I say fight, I do not mean with fisticuffs or karate. I mean engage in meaningful conflict that will lead towards resolution. Your feelings may get hurt then but in the long wrong, it is alot better.

So let us review. If you are going to breakup with your friend, do so now. Do not let matters linger.
Let us remember though, the adverse of the above statement with a little disclaimer is also true too: If you are not going to breakup with your friend, take care of the matters at hand now.

PS.
I love my friends. I never want to "breakup" with them.

presidential elections and all that jazz

Ok,
here's my two cents.

I've done my research and I've looked at all the candidates. I like some of what i've seen and some I didn't like. So after many hours of ponder and thought and many words of verbage, I have come to a simple conclusion and it is this: man, we are pretty dumb as a collective state of people. So many times have I heard and read on youtube, CNN, Fox News, and etc the dumb and mundane comments and ideas being spewed by everybody. It's frightening that such stupid people are so vocal. Where are the smart people who can put together coherent thoughts and express them in such a way that they don't come off as pretentious son of douches? Besides that, it's really fun to watch this Presidential Election. And yes, I probably will put a foot in my mouth later on and you will call me a dumb idiot too, but I'm okay with that because it has only taken me like eight years to graduate from college.

Okay so here's who I am going to vote for even if I have to write his name in: Dr. Ron Paul.

I must admit Huckabee had me with Chuck Norris, but then I remembered my idol Bruce Lee...he kicked Norris' white American butt all over the great screens of kung fu movie-dom. So maybe you might think I'm not being American but please remember Bruce Lee kicking Chuck Norris was just a example of how Mr. Norris is not infallible. So Mr. Norris may be the baddest bad ass right now, but he is not perfect.
On another note, Huckabee's record is pretty shoddy with lots of mishaps and errors in judgement. Way to go Huckabee! Way to release convicted rapists and murders who after being released goes on and rapes some more people and kill someone else. Way to raise taxes so that Arkansas is one of the highest taxed states in America! Okay enough on Huckabee, I mean I like him and all but I don't think he's got it.
Romney on the other hand...man he's a good looking guy. It's sad but I think he's going to get the Republican nominee based on his looks and his big wad...of cash. You have to admit, Romney is pretty smooth. Romney actually has clout and that is what is good about him, but the bad thing about him is that he has flip flopped so many times between so many different ideas and issues. Take for example the abortion issue. Romney is for abortion, he went on air and said it, but wait...later he retracted that when he wanted to be reelected. He's a true politician who knows how to work the system...read manipulate the system. Sorry kids, but manipulators really aren't my thing.
McCain seems to be a good candidate. He has been pretty consistent and he is a Veteran, a POW for that matter. Dude, McCain can do it. He's my second go to guy. Sounds good right? Well again, same as Romney, McCain has flip flopped on some key issues that are really important. His thing was about the immigration thing. He was wanting to legalize millions of illegal immigrants that are here in the United States. I come from an immigrant family. My grandparents came over during the Vietnam War. The thing is though, they went through the hoops to become permanent residents. My dad came over too during the same time. He went through the hoops and now is a citizen. Why can't the illigals go through the same hoops? Sorry but it feels like though we are getting bent over and are being rimmed by a bunch of illegals...it feels kinda weird and good at the same time(they mow our lawns and they're cheap!) but they're taking something from us(our dignity!). Sorry, I'm not for about the rimming.
Giuliani. Well, he's from New York.
So really the only guy that meets all my requirements and needs as a President is Ron Paul. Dr. Paul wants to bring back the troops from Iraq. Yes please, immediately. I don't want my buddy Jason Hotalen getting killed for a lie that President Bush told us. Weapons of mass destruction? Where? Dr. Paul wants to get rid of the IRS. Sweet, I don't make enough money to pay taxes anyways. Hahaha, but that's just me. But what does that mean? That means the federal government will have to shrink and become small again, just like the founding fathers of our nation wanted it! With the federal government smaller, that means that the States have more power...what does that mean? That means that the people have more say in their lives. That means we have more power. This nation is built on the fact and belief that we have certain rights that can't be taken away. But they have been taken away. They have been taken away by our current President, Bush. Even the Democrats have voted to take away our rights, they gave Bush the power to eavesdrop on our conversations without warrant. The House and Senate has given the Federal Government power to hold people without habeus corpus. It was recently passed that we will pay trillions of dollars to make new bases around the world to make it a total of like 700 military bases to keep our "interests" protected. What interest do we have in the middle of a huge forest in Germany? These were against the wishes of our founding fathers. They did not want the US to be an empire. They did not want the military to be so powerful that it controls the government...and believe that it does. Take for example the B-2 bomber. It is produced almost all over the United States. Each state has a specific part of the bomber it makes. Yes, it provides jobs and we like jobs, but we are making weapons of mass destruction and are getting paid for it. Why were we so afraid of Iraq with its limited military and they're so called "WMDs"? Iraq didn't attack us. They didn't have the resources to do it. We attacked Iraq. We invaded Iraq. Remember when we were invaded? That's right, it was the Revolutionary War. The United States rebelled against the Great British Empire because we felt our rights were being violated and we were getting taxed up the bunghole. Don't you think some of the world's resentment against the US is because we are there "policing"? Don't you think the terrorists had some of these same feelings? One persons' terrorist, another's freedom fighter. I have a Tamil friend. Her dad is labeled a terrorist. She calls him Papa. They just want their freedom. We wanted our freedom and what did we do to get it? We became terrorists and picked off the greatest army in the world at the time, bit by bit. Farmers one minute would be tilling the earth, the next sniping the marching British Red Coats. But what are we going to do now? Our rights are being taken away from us now. Our privacy is being invaded. Our borders are being invaded. Our economy is going down the drain and for the first time ever I can't make fun of Nabes for being Canadian with his Looney or Lunie...however you spell it. I want someone who will give me back my rights, give me back my privacy, give me back my hard earned money, and give me back my friends that have gone overseas based on lies. That person my friends is Ron Paul.

Join the Revolution.

Now it's the Democrats turn...actually, I'm tired so I'll leave that for another time this next week.

IDEA?

oh good ole georgia.
it's true, this is where the players play.
and they do ride on them everyday.

So I have a proposition, an idea. Yes, I do have some on occasion and sometimes they are even good ones. The other ideas are good ideas too but they're too far out and beyond comprehending that they are useless. Yes, useless. Useless ideas...and we all know that useless ideas are...uselessly unusable under any usual or unusual circumstances. In short, they are dumb. But this one, this idea I have now is not useless; it is brilliantly bold. Dare I say bodacious? So what is this bodaciously brilliant bold idea you ask? Lend me your ears, or rather your eyes for a few minutes. Before we start, a side note: this idea is by far not an original thought by any means on my part; because let's face it, I'm just a washed up junkie living in a small town world with young prepubescent college kids that all want to get "lucky" while I have to work almost full time to pay off bills and my many imaginary children through child support whom happen to live in sunny and warm Florida. So on with the show. Quick, five points to whoever tells me what musical is that from. Moving on. Let us put on our thinking caps, our non-sarcastic smirks and delve into this idea of mine. Let us imagine, if you will, that we are walking hand in hand or if you prefer arm in arm down a winding windless woad, I mean road. We have a mission, a task we must achieve. What it is, I don't know but whatever it is we are here together side by side. The trees are bare, like the classy girls of Tiger Tails on HWY 123 going towards Clemson University...You can't miss it, there's a billboard that say's: TIGER TAILS, HERE with an arrow pointing down. So on this road we meet one other person on the same unknown yet so intriguing journey. This person joins in our coupling and we endeavor forth past the fifty year old toothless, topless....uh, trees.

Oh my where has the time gone? I am so sorry, I am being asked to leave the premises for it is closing time. Alas my brilliantly bodacious and bold idea will have to wait till another day, another night. Until then, I bid you all adieu and to you mi bella,  ciao!
