| The Saga, Book 2 My fair friends, your servant is faring somewhat better this day. I have stabbed the beast, deep in his gruesome heart, and though he liveth yet, it seemeth to be a fatal wound. He is languishing, yes, and failing, but he will hang onto his life, grasping, pleading, growling out his pain and humiliation, for yet a little longer. Yes, humiliation, for I have stripped him of his many-coloured scales*, and he is naked as the day his mother brought him forth in darkness. Yes, pain, for I have stirred and removed his entrails** from the secret places of his vile carcase***.
The score hath shifted, and I will gain the victory, as I swore to you:
Lair: 5 Warrior: 47
I fight on, weary of body but encouraged of spirit. May our good Lord bless thee and keep thee!
________________ * I refer to my laundry, of course. The last load is in the dryer ** You know, random stuff. I have far too much of it. *** Under the bed, in the corner, out of the closet...

| Still Fighting the Beast in It's Lair... Your humble servant is alive, the Lord be praised, but embattled sore! The score standeth thusly:
Room: 17
Jessa: 1*
Yet, take courage, fair people. If it would prevail, it must first slay this humble warrior. This pledge I make to all y'all: I shall not surrender, not 'til it hath drawn the very utmost drop of life-blood from my weary body. Back now go I, intent upon challenging the fell monster to a duel of closets!
* I have shifted valiantly a great quantity of items, imprisoned many small pieces in a large box, and folded myriad garments. Doth this work count as a point in my favor?

| Stolen...from Joel's blog. It is such a good two verses, I just couldn't resist.
"I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my
God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath
covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh
himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her
jewels. For as
the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things
that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause
righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations."
~Isaiah 61:10-11
In other news, I went to the gym today. I really didn't want to go. I would have preferred staying in bed. But, when we finished working out, I felt so good. I'm more relaxed than I have been in months, I think. I'll have to try to get to the gym more often!
In other other news, I have to get my room clean before I go crazy! Must give it the old college try. For the umpteenth time. Ah well. I'll let you know how it goes. If you don't hear from me by Friday, send out a search party... I've probably been attacked by savage laundry, or gotten lost under my bed, or some similar dire situation. Thanks!
God bless your Thursday, friends.
Love, Jessa
