the colour of love is blue

my new baby, and first ever balenciaga, aptly named the "First" in Skye Blue:

I've strictly followed my rule of "one purse per year." and I was soooo anxious to get my hands on this one. The color is just dreamy. It's like a perfectly proportioned cotton candy cloud. The salesgirl told me there was only 3 left in their whole system. Extremely coveted.

While shopping, I spotted another beauty.

Isn't she gorgeous??! The dior extreme gladiator. The same ones that Carrie Bradshaw rocked in the Sex and the City movie. In PYTHON, nonetheless! Fabolousness knows no bounds. If only I can justify dropping $750 on a pair of shoes, she'd be mine in a hot second.

And while on the topic of visually beautiful things that are extremely hard to find, I leave you with this:

Coconut Pocky! Aren't I such a glut? I had to go to Jersey for these. The last time I tasted one was probably in high school, circa 2000-2003, and it makes my tummy sigh with delight to taste them again.

May all the things that your heart desires be within reach.

In the strangest mood yesterday. I honestly don't ever need to hit the cannabus because I apparently operate on something much stranger; my bipolarism. So I recently got my tax refund along with my economic stimulus. I don't know what to spend my money on anymore. There are things that I want, but I've finally hit a stage where I can't bring myself to buy them anymore. I came back from New York and all I got was a Marc by Marc Jacobs bag (under $50). We even hit up the museum and I didn't grab anything from the gift shop. Museum gift shops are equally as rewarding as going to Target = you come in for one thing and you come out with a ton of other things you didn't know you needed.

Needless to say, I've been very sensible with my money lately and I don't know what to do with myself. I'm not used to having a new pair of shoes every week, or a new item in my closet every other day...

That being said, I am currently contemplating the purchase of a new phone:

The LG by Prada

I can get it unlocked on ebay for around $300.

Silver:

Ya or nay? hmmm.

coveted

nothing beats FINALLY coveting a fucking fabulous pair of heels that i've had my eyes on for more than one season! and to think, I almost thought i'd had to go to japan to get my claws on them....

I've been on a scavenger hunt for the past two days. Looking ferociously for these shoes everywhere. I first came upon them in February, whilst flipping through my latest Vivi magazine. They caught my eye immediately and just 'popped' out at me. It was one of those moments, where you see something that has your name all over it.

I gave up on finding them though, since there were only present in a Japanese magazine in japan...until i saw them again a few days ago on a blog i frequent quite a bit... the fashionista had found a similer version of the shoes and they were on sale at Nordstrom!! But alas, they did not have to color that i wanted.

After days of googling, I finally narrowed down the store that carries these all the way in Los Angeles, and on Robertson Blvd nonetheless. But they are sold out in teh color and size that I want.

I left them my number so they can call me as soon as another shipment comes in. I'm also going to call their soho store, boston store, and east hampton store tomorrow.

I am crazy, no?

viva la vida

Viva la Vida - Coldplay

They never fail to move my heart in its little suspended cage. I've been a little too trusting lately, thinking those around me had my best interest at heart. Rarely do you find those of pure good intentions in everything that they do. and even rarer, do you find those who will trust you so willingly without a second thought. It's not a weakness. I call it a leap of faith.

From wikipedia:

Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends, or its short name Viva la Vida, is the fourth studio album by British band Coldplay. It is scheduled to be released on 12 June 2008 in the UK and 17 June 2008 in North America. The project is largely produced by Brian Eno.[1] Coldplay have released two singles from the record, "Violet Hill" and "Viva la Vida".

Viva la Vida takes its name from a painting[2] by Frida Kahlo, the acclaimed 20th century Mexican artist; the title's literal translation is "long live life". The album's artwork features the painting Liberty Leading the People (La Liberté guidant le peuple) by French painter Eugène Delacroix, commemorating the July Revolution of 1830.

I used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning I sweep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own
I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes
Listen as the crowd would sing:
"Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!"
One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of sand, pillars of sand
