perfect summer evening

Tonight, I had a wonderful happy hour day.  Shake Shack, Live Bait, and then the Maritime.  With weather so lovely that on a July night, I'm sleeping with the windows open because the breeze just feels so damn good.  Made a lot of new friends tonight...and enjoyed myself thoroughly.  Honestly - I'm so glad I'm getting to spend my 20s in Manhattan.

yay

I just went on a gorgeous midnight "run" (mostly walking) along the East River.  Why did I wait this long to do this?  It was gorgeous - heavy half moon over LIC, a cool breeze, the lights reflecting off the water....  I really enjoyed myself, and I have to say, New York is not as scary as I thought it was.  I warned people that I was going out, had phone numbers written on my hand in case I was robbed...and no one paid me the slightest bit of attention.  I love New York.

I hate it when xanga blackmails me

"If you would like to keep your account, all you need to do is log in and post to keep your account!"

Which is annoying, because I definitely posted just a couple of months ago.  Jerks.  AND they tried to make me pick a theme.  I don't want a theme.  This site is simple and shabby and out of date, but it's mine.

me: With who?
me: (I know it's "whom," I'm just feeling grammatically lazy at the moment.)
Sam: so you wrote all that instead of just typing an extra "m"?
Sam: nice
me: I didn't say I felt lazy, I said grammatically lazy.
