Update 2006

Listening to: Usher-Confessions (Part II)

I have not written in my Xanga for a long time. I decided that I really needed to sit down and fix my Xanga before anyone sees it. So I'm graduating in May and all I can think about is interviews, resume, cover letter and car. A friend recently told me that he was going to purchase a new car and my brother is also thinking about getting a new car. I hope that my brother will give me his old car...I helped to pick it out when it was bought 2 years ago. I noticed it because of the color and not because of its actual features, but I didn't need to worry, it was a very smooth ride. Most people (especially those my age) will have moments where they obsess about cars. In high school, I remember before school started, my friend and I would stand on the corner watching all the cars drive by and critique each one.

"That one has a nice soothing color, but its nose is too long."
"That one looks like an army jeep, no way."
"I like this one coming up but it's a 2-door."

We had no knowledge of car terminology (I still don't know the many parts of a car) so we used to make up our own words to describe the cars that passed. That game was the beginning of my interest in cars. When I went to college, I started noticing the cars that the other students were driving-Lexus, Honda, Toyota and Mercedes. My favorite was the Mercedes Benz CLK series.  So many students bought that model when it came out, but I hardly ever see them around anymore, probably because of the weather and the surprising snow-showers in April. I still like the Mercedes CLK, but I think that I would get a car that was more convenient. I hope that my brother decides to give me his car. I would consider it as my graduation-Christmas-birthday gift from my family.   =)

So here I am...attempting to put up a photo but failing miserably because the photo is just too big and my computer seems to be having problems. It's way too slow. I'll try again later....if I'm not too lazy that is. Today I watched Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, and since I haven't touched the book, I thought that it was a great movie. I didn't even realize that my butt had lost all feeling (sitting in a theatre for over three hours) since the movie was like WHAM BAM BOOM--action scenes hitting from all different directions.

So to pass the time until the movie started, Sara, Ben, Kevin, Esther and I decided to create rapper names for each other. I was christened "Timeout!" Sara became "Toffee something..." Esther was "Tic Tac," Ben had become "Kit Kat; Gimme a break" and Kevin was "Skittles; Taste the colors of the rainbow" (you can come to your own conclusions about that one.) Now, where did we get all these candies from...none other than the rapper Eminem. We were bored, what can I say?

But think about it, if you were a rapper, what would your name be? Someone should be Jhelly Beanz !! Or, tootsie rolls! Yeah!

Stole trays from the dining hall and went sledding. Saw that everyone had REAL sleds...some people were even snowboarding over tables and chairs. It was awesome.

Looking at- a picture of this year's HKIS senior class in their senior picture (sent to me from Aldrinana)

Call outs to those of the Senior class "my little juniors" I doubt any of you will actually get to read these but oh well:

Derek Chu-Take it easy this year eh? Stop trying to beat everyone and everything that moves. And don't touch anyone with that dirty saxaphone cloth.

Lowell Ling-Yes, I'm still into the euphonium. Thanks for the message. Hope you're enjoying senior year. Have you stopped screaming like a monkey yet? Oh and one other thing: Jabronii...

Jeremy Wang-How's physics? Are you even taking physics? Advice: smile more, talk more, play with Tim less (you two are so crazy when you're together.)

Aaron- It was nice hearing you play guitar in the yearbook office. Hope you still do. Looking at all this snow reminds me of the ski trip, thanks for all the tempura and your "pudding"?

Aldrinana- Don't stress over the yearbook. It's not your fault that everyone else is imcompetent. You're a great yearbook editor for caring so much, but don't be like Kevin (he eventually developed stressalotosis, where the syndromes include: speaking incoherently, constant laughing and idiotic smiling, and acting perverted.)

Sonia Li- Studying hard? Looove the picture, you definitely win the prize as the Happiest Senior of them All. =)

Jeff Liu- Get better pants (boxers), preferably ones that you don't have to constantly fix. Have you changed any-perhaps dyed your hair to another color again? Hope you iz still playin dat dere trombone thang.

Oliver Lim- One word: frogs. Ribbit. I'll bring one back for you aiight? With all this snow, I'm sure to find a frozen one lying around somewhere...

Lai Bond Cheng- How're you. Your shirts used to amuse me to no end during Physics. Hope you still have your fashion sense.

Nicholas Chak- Don't think I don't remember you. Sara and I were reminiscing about "the Chak is Back." So, is the Chak really back? Sorry interim got cancelled man, don't worry...there's always the adventure of college to look forward to.

Dennis Li- Hey, how's my cute little senior doin' eh? Nice picture, you're a little cutoff but I can still see ya, sittin' down near the front. Don't spend too much money on anyone alright....unless it's me of course.

Shum Shum- Would you like some dim sum sum? Hope you're taking care of the euphoniums. Still the leader of a gazillion clubs I hope?

(If I missed out anyone...well...it doesn't mean I don't care. It just means that I forgot about you. Oh ouch! I'm just playin', it means that I am thinking about you but don't have anything unique to say right now. Please say HI though.)

Listening to: First Love-Utada Hikaru

Thanksgiving was a blast, thanks to Sara, Kevin, Esther, Duncan and Paul, who either came here to Boston or stayed here with me. We walked around Chinatown, watched Harry Potter and ate great food. Did a little shopping on the side too. I will have to do some Christmas shopping while I'm in Boston, there are so many funny things. Have you ever seen a dancing Jesus before? I can't wait until Christmas when I finally go back to Hong Kong. I'm going to do most of my Christmas shopping back there.
