| ryan air......enables me to fly to england for 41 euros for the weekend. ok,
that´s just flight, there´s still various train and bus and taxi rides
involved, so the whole thing will be costing more, but still... YEAH!!!
i´m flying to england for the weekend to see damaris!! and it´s just
good to get away sometimes...
happy birthday, josh! i´ll be celebrating "with you" on saturday!

| fatal statisticsdid you know (i´m sure you didn´t, cuz i didn´t either) that chemnitz has the lowest birth rate of all cities in the WORLD???

| some like it hot...and i do. but it´s 29 degrees celsius... aka 85 fahrenheit... doesn´t
sound like that much. but it feels like "let me just lie down in the
shade or jump in a lake and whatever you do, don´t make me think". 
unfortunately, i have to work. i think we´ll play lots of water games today with the kids.

| a great day at mcturtlei know success is not measured in numbers - at least that´s what they
tell social workers-to-be. but there were 24 kids between the ages of 4
and 10 at mcturtle today!!! yeah!! and 3 new ones and several regulars
weren´t even there. it´s not like that hasn´t ever happened (a few
years ago 40 wasn´t that unusual in the summers). but today it was so
very exciting! 13 boys and 11 girls. it was great fun.
we just finished 5 weeks of "god is..." god is our best friend,
creator, father, love, king. it was a cool "back to the basics" unit.
right now we´re doing a couple weeks going through some songs we sing
and explaining them so that we actually know what we´re singing. so
often you sing something and think they get it. so today we started
with a song that in a fun way talks about god speaking to us and when
he says "go" to step on the gas, and when he says "stop" to actually
brake. cuz when we listen to god and do what he says it will go well
with us. i´m not preaching health, wealth and prosperity, but you know
what i mean. and my wonderfully creative mcturtle "writer" mittli did
another incredible job in creatively explaining the song.
of course we had tons of fun with a water fight. guys, it is SO WARM! yeah!! 
on a side not... i have worked about 36 hours in the last 3 days... i´m
ready for a break!! time for that church retreat on the weekend with
lots of swimming, sun, fun and people! (and the occasional brainstorm
session or who knows what... but hopefully not too much thinking...)
