| hello all! long time i realise, although to be fair life has been busy! last few weeks have been spent either mapping up a mountain in rudry, revising for an exam, taking an exam, and then finally spending a week in Pembroke, examining the geological record. Which i can tell you all no, is amazing and so diverse. Yes, i have fialy surcomed(not to sure how to spell the word!) to the power of therock. Watever thatis. You see many of you may not know that although i am a true gographer at heart, for the past year my course has contained 50% of geology, whoich of course we didnt study at a level. so it has been interesting. i was at first reluctant at first to look at a rock for hours on end under a microscope or my personal hand lens, or take the strike and dip direction of a rock plane, i will now quite hapily try to identify a rock type and diagnose its depositional history. its fun. honest. those geologists who are really keen(they are the straight doing rocks all the way geologists, unlike my eath sciences' self type) will take to licking the rocks. I have done this once, in the name of science of course, but now being experienced i am inclined to say that it may have been a step to far.
In other news i saw the foundations in concert, that was good. im moving house very soon, and have a new job at 'The Gate arts centre'. So all is going just swimmingly. I think ive learnt alot this year. i like learning.
I think some of us are going into see some teachers tomoro, so that should be good. I do miss them! well some of them...
hope to see you all soon!

| HUMAN TABLE FOOTBALLHello everybody! Hope everyone is well!
It has come to my attention that my church (Glenwood church) is putting on a charity event on MAY 1st, to raise money for a summer camp for a Romanian orphanage to which they are going out to help. One of the events that they will be putting on is a human table football tournement...something which i thought would be of obvious interest to many of you! Its a day event with teams having a minimum of 3 games and then a kinda knockout thing>?! Each team will be made of 5 or 6(inc. sub). The idea is that each team raises about 300 pound, but obviously i know we are all students, and so maybe unable to raise that money, and so its basically as much as you can raise! A 50 pound deposit needs to be in within the next few weeks, but then the rest on the day of the tournement. OK so i think all the details are there! I thoght it was an ideal opportunity for everyone seeing as though its a bank holiday monday, so many can travel to cardiff for the weekend. Raising money should be alright seeing as though its for charity and the total amount to raise isnt 'that' much when its split between a group of 6, with each person raising hopefully about £40+. Ok, no, i think thats it! Hope that some of you will be interested in this! Did think it was something that many of you would like! So take care everyone! If you need any more details and info, or would like to submit a team(!)(awsome) drop me a bell or an email! That'd be grand!
Take care everyone,

| first day back at uni today! mannnnnn, some of the stuff we learn about is so boring! we began a new module, called natural resources, which is baically gonna be about oil and coal, although we do get a trip to the big pit!*geological hammers at the ready* so many feild trips actually with this course, feildtrip friday their known as. Also, today i saw people with earth science shirts on, with puns! oh i do like a good pun, heres a few of the classic geological bumpers:
geology rocks! earthquakes- they're no ones fault! not all rocks are gnesis there is no gravity- the earth sucks
ahhahaha ok i shall stop lol as im sure no-one else is...ah this is what geography drives you to!
Was great to see uni friends back they are all village people, but the litteral kind! its funny, to them, cardiff is big! Saw andrew on the weekend in exeter, such a nice uni! we even made a trip to the beach, and also picked up info on plymouth and contemplated going to visit pooley!
Theres not really much to say now....ummm ive taken up jogging! the first time almost killed me, but i am progressively getting better!

I must wish my very best to all those unfortunate people who have exams in the next few weeks....so 'all the best' just head for that 40% mark. the number 40 has become very important to me during uni life.its the new magic number!
Was great to see people back home, tho on behalf of the bb i must appoligise for the lack of bb and wbc reunions. yeah that was sad, we missed you guys. hope you all had a good time anyway. so Happy Christmakah everybody and a very happy new year!

| took a wrong trning the other day in the union...ended up in a careers fair. that was depressing. lol. well it wasnt, but made me think alot about , what do i want to do with my life (careers wise). The only thing that had any relation to my degree programme was a stall run by a group called cortez... whos moto across there logo was 'a career in metal is what you want!' hmmm. i wasnt convinced. not too sure if i want to do anything directly related to my degree anyway. Perhaps teaching i thought?! but then i realised i dont need to be thinking of this stuff 'just yet' give it a year or so. but i cant help thinking what on earths gonna happen a few years down the road. anyone else ever feel this way?
ah man! just wanna get married and live happily ever after! miss andrew too, very much at the moment! and need a holiday, far too much work, exam next week, and an essay to do! an essay! what?!!? work in geography! i couldn't beleive it! and then to top it off a peice of coursework for Christmas on cliff erosion....hmmmmm.
ok i'll stop complaining!
on better news, i love cardiff! the people here are just awsome, i also love weatherspoons...2 for 1 meals u just cant beat Narnia comes out soon too! yey! how i love 'the lion the witch and the wardrobe', when i was a youngun i was in a play for it and played lucy..., oh just love it!
