Aquinas!

Aquinas is no longer a last resort.  I want to go there.  I really, really want to go there, and I am.  I am totally content with the decision.  I went there today for a tour and meeting and I fell in love.  It's very liberal, which I didn't know:)  And it's got an amazing theater, english, and teaching program, all of which I want to do.  Their theatre is beautiful.  And their new library is HUGE.  And it's small, beautiful, and are you sitting down?  No community bathrooms, lol.  I'm excited.  I wasn't before and I didn't wanna go but now I do and I feel very good about it!

Yay for Stephanie for making a big decision on her own.

HOLY CRAP YOU'RE COMING TO MY COLLEGE!!!! Oh my gosh, Steph, I am so excited!! You're going to love it here...we can have coffee together at the Moose like in Gilmore Girls:) I didn't even know you were thinking about coming here, but I'm really happy for you- I love the atmosphere and there are a lot of awesome young Catholics who are on fire about their faith. Yay:)

haha, Mike Schneider and Scott Andersen both went there, as did Rick Grinstead and it has some of the best professors (Dr. Marko for example). It's not really a liberal school, but a bunch of the student body is.

Hello Mary's Friend,

I just wanted to say that I wasn't seriously even considering Aquinas, but I needed to use more of my college visit days to get out of school, and it was close.   And..... I fell in love, and I'm really happy that I picked Aquinas.  Aquinas is a good mix of both liberals and conservatives.  Compared to the rest of West Michigan--it's an oasis of sanity, but compared to the rest of the world, it's only moderately liberal.  The faculty is mostly liberal, but the students are a healthy mix.

There's opportunities for whatever you want to do, really.

Just keep in mind if you're going into teaching you'll be here for five years, but with the new regulations that's becomign the norm, unfortunately.

--Ryan

P.S.  In case you couldn't guess, I'm Mary's friend, and that's why I read your journal.
