| Kinda Freaky. We'll guys, I just came home from work at 2:05am and drove past what seemed to be a HUMONGOUS bonfire with no one standing around. Kind of weird, cause last I remembered there used to be a house there, but they tore it down this spring. So to my curiosity I put the car on reverse and as it turns out, it wasn't a bonfire at all.... IT WAS A CAR SET ABLAZE! I pray that no one was inside. I had an eerie feeling someone was watching me when I reversed. Luckily the cops got there shortly after I called. As soon as the sun peaks the horizon, I'm going back.

| THE REFORMATION
We live in a place where you haven't heard-all-the story // A place where you say God Bless and it's derogatory // Welcome to the land of the Sodoms and Gommorahs // where the skin interaction becomes the natural man's aura // When they insist that you cant legislate morality // It reveals the condition of a natural mans fallacy // suppressing the truth and unrighteousness before us // sin, lust, and money in which people want more of // Everything is relative, yeah these cats are whack // cause they appeal to logic and universal abstracts // And turn the tables on us for believing In spirits // Logics immaterial but they just can't bare-it // So they become consistent to argue inconsistent // for making ends meet before human existence // Take a deep breath and open your ears to listen // It's only by grace that I call myself a Christian ..... This is The Reformation
It's a challenge for believers to think and thinkers to believe // In hopes we can join hands in the next jubilee // We shy away from obligation of apologetics// As if scripture made us sick and was the cause-of-headaches // It's surprising how many want to be next-to-Jesus // with holes in their bibles cause they hate the exegesis // Inspired for teaching, reproofing, and correction // Objective standards to answer all your questions // Why, when the layman is more equipped than the pastor // Makes you question what is the shepard [pastor] really after // Conform to the culture or conform to the scripture? // Or let society be the one to paint the picture? // No mistake, our faith is not an intellectual pursuit // Pontius or the Pontiff couldn't give you the Truth // This isn't jeopardy, I'm not here to be a Pharisee // You can only guess it, cause it's only fair-to-see // This is The Reformation
I used to question life with a sick-man's-voice // and tossed out the philosophy of Sigmund Freud // So, to alter my ego? No, the Author's my ego // He keeps me soaring high just like an eagle // With my claws I begin to scratch the waters surface // The health and wealth gospel snuck into our churches // “the more money you put in the more your faith will keep-growing” // That's what you hear from a wolf in a sheep's-clothing // You're disappointed, and that's right I'm-backing-ya // If they preach a different gospel, declare them anathema // Tell these pulpit pimps lay off of our Gospel // Prostituting the Word just for people follow // Sucking in revenue from every desperate peer // Just to look fresh now with a nice set of veneers // You can never heal me from being sick of heretics // My peeps are here to change -these cats are scared-of-it // This is The Reformation
It's a call to preach salvation, that's the purpose-we-fight // But how can we when we're stuffed with Turkish Delights // So be careful, of what you, read and believe in // and flip scriptures day in night just like Bereans // We demolish arguments and take captive every thought // Holding steadfast AND preparing to be mocked // When, scripture is twisted consider me enlisted // to be the one to fight for a cause against the wicked // I've got my thesis, and don't you got yours // The only thing we need are the Wittenburg doors // across the nations, who give venerations // to humans and idols- an apostate sensation // So which Holiday do you consider a dirty curse? // Cause I'm being Martin Luther on October 31st // This is The Reformation

| SOBRIETY TEST
Caught up in a tide of change then the story's done, I kicked you off my memotorium, And you were second to none,
I'm moving up the past of trials, So I've learned to smile, Traveled enough so I've earned to miles, You can pass up on the dialing...
The Devil was the only cat who can lie to me best, Then the Good Lord placed me on a sobriety test, And was I in the influence of the sin? Which caught me off guard once again?, And Jesus help me, I'm crawling up on the line... SOBRIETY TEST
Arrested and the bail was set for my heartless soul, Called in for the bond and got the hardest "NO" SOMEONE PLEASE LET ME GO!!!
And behold the gavel, was kissing up on wood, And there was absolutely nothing which I ever could, Redeem on myself, Redeem on myself,
The Devil was the only cat who can lie to me best, Then the Good Lord placed me on a sobriety test, And was I in the influence of the sin? Which caught me off guard once again?, And Jesus help me, I'm crawling up on the line... SOBRIETY TEST
The imputed righteousness was the only light in this, Unlocked these cuffs right from my guilty wrists, Let me be the light and the salt of the earth now, Let me be the light and the salt of the earth now,
The Devil was the only cat who can lie to me best, Then the Good Lord placed me on a sobriety test, And was I in the influence of the sin? Which caught me off guard once again?, And Jesus help me, I'm crawling up on the line... SOBRIETY TEST
-----
**Here's a song I wrote early last year and finally recorded last night. It talks about the imputed righteousness of Christ. When the Holy
Spirit comes into our life and regenerates our hearts to believe and
our lips to confess, the righteousness of Christ is imputed to us (as opposed to Adams imputed UNrighteousness to all humankind). This
is done so by GRACE, something in which we DO NOT deserve and CANNOT
gain my ourselves by "walking the line" (also know as "good works").
The song isn't about being under the influence of alcohol, it's about
being under the influence of sin and trying to walk the line of
righteousness by ourselves. We FAIL every time and hence would be
"crawling up on the line" if given the test. The line represents the
LAW / The Ten Commandments. Everyone falls short of living the LAW.
We're all sinners in need of redemption.
Isn't it odd that after
our celebrities make front page on a scandal or what have you, that
they can somehow redeem their social and moral status by doing charity
work in Africa? What you don't know is that they can afford to do so.
Like our celebrities, we think that our good works can cover up for our
bad works, but really, it's the heart that needs change.
In
this scenario we fail to prove ourselves by walking the line, So Jesus
picks us up, takes us to court for our judgment, and pays the penalty
for us -which is death. You may ask "why death?". Well, it turns out
that while you were under the influence, you killed someone without
knowing it!!! Yeah, not "intentionally", but being under the influence
is in itself intentionally wrong to begin with. Consider it GRACE!
