| CABGToday at my rotation site I got to observe a CABG (coronary artery bypass graft). It was an amazingly beautiful sight. They let me gown up and stand on a stool next to the anesthesiologists at the head of the table and peer down onto the crazy open heart procedure that was happening. The anesthesiologist even let me help with shooting in some contrast dye for the echo. It was so ridiculously awesome I can't explain it well enough in words (and there's not many times this has happened in my life). One thing I have to say though... I do not want to ever be a surgeon. Of any kind, shape, or form. I will stick with the drugs thank you.

| Spending HabitsSo I finally decided to look through my online bank account since it's been awhile. (Plus I wanted to see how much I more I could spend on games for my NEW DS!!!... ok but that's another story.) Then I started analyzing my spending habits. It's quite sad actually. This is a rough layout of what my checking account transactions look like:
1) starbucks 2) starbucks 3) nail salon 4) starbucks 5) gas 6) starbucks 7) starbucks 8) walgreens 9) walgreens 10) gas 11) starbucks
Thank God, somewhere in there I got paid. Maybe I should buy Starbucks stock. I already spend enough on their product! I heard they're also thinking of doing an "autofill" service -somewhat like walgreens- where you set your preferences to coffee online and you can select the store of your choice to have your coffee ready at a certain time each day. DUDE... think about how much MORE money I'll be spending there! :::sigh:: :

| LotsLots have been going on lately. Went to San Fran for a few days, checked out Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, saw some old high school friends around the Bay Area, ate some really good eggplant (no joke) at my friend's chinese restaurant in San Jose (Yong Lo Garden... if you're ever in the area). Used Walgreens corporate discount to get 20% off on my hotel stay at La Quinta (for all you Walgreens mofos you should take advantage of these things!) Went shopping; lots of shopping... ate lots. Hung out with the "married couple" John and Amy, checked out a SF club (the guys in SF are much cuter than Seattle boys btw)... oh did I mention we drove down to SF?! It was my first REAL "road trip", and I only drove for about half an hour because it started POURING and then my car started hydroplaning and I got super scared so I refused to drive anymore. Oh right, and now I'm in the process of moving. And not to mention rotations starting. I already have to go to meetings before rotations even start, yet I haven't even written my objectives for this rotation. Anyway, back to packing. All in all, life's good. Busy, but good.
