Valentines Day<3 I woke up this morning in a really okay mood. Bible Club was having fellowship in the theatre this morning. So I went and it was really good. Then I remembered that it was Valentines day - yea depressing. haha. Alone. -_- Rob actually came to the school, he bought Kathy some presents. It was soooo cute!! So then I come home and had to go to the eye doctor - who told me yet again that I can't wear contacts. Whatever. I hate my glasses. So I went out to eat at Famous Daves BBQ. Came home, i'm doing laundry and being online right now. Boring Day - Sorry. But lately, i've been really into learning about the Vietnam War. I mean - you know how like 50,000 Americans died? They're all memorialized at that wall in DC right? Did you know that over 3 million Viet people died? No one built a wall for them. Actually, you can't find there names anywhere. Most of the time when a villiage was bombed and men, women, and children died... their bodies where just left there. No one came around and took a toll of who they where. I mean it was war, but I am just thinking they where people too. We should have something for them up, something saying you know what - a lot of good people died. Not just Americans, but Viet to. Innocent people, children and such. Look at her, the girl in the picture. She was innocent, and she is just a casualty of war now. .... Was our side the only side that counted? ='(
The vietnamese leader, compared American/French to a elephant and Vietnam to a tiger ... "If the tiger ever stands still, the elephant will crush him with his mighty tusks. But the tiger does not stand still... he will leap upon the back of the elepahant, tearing huge chunks from his hide, and then the tiger will leap back into the dark jungle. And slowly, the elephant will blead to death. That will be the war of IndoChina." -Ho Chi Minh |
