  • Drive to GA

    Hello all,
I have decided, through the suggestion from a friend, to start blogging my life. I should have started blogging back when I lived with the crazies at Bethel, but I'll recap to that time a different day.
So, yesterday I was in my car with my two co-pilots, Rocky the 90lb.  Boxer, and Charlotte the 8.5lb purse dog. She's a mix really between a yorkie-papillion-long hair dashound....something like that. Anyone who knows anything about boxers, you'd know that they drool. Well, that is an understatement if you look at my car. The window, the ceiling, the seats are COVERED with nasty foamy drool stains. See, when you drive down the mountain in your '98 piece of crap at a 5% grade your dog starts panicking  because of his ears popping.

Lets back up a bit. On Saturday, June 21, 08 I drove to my Grandma Robinson's to go to my cousins Open House. She is going to Ball State this fall, super exciting~ so those of you who are around the FUNcie area will most likely meet her.

I left on Sunday morning, 20 til 4 am and made my way to I65. The awesome construction that is taking over most of Indiana on just about every single major highway that gets me to grandmas. So, I took the back roads to Merrillville. By the time that I got to Wolcott area I had to go to a rest stop to take a nap. I was soo exhausted!!! So, I woke up 30 mins later and drove as far as 71st street in Indy to get some coffee. I should had made that my first priority when I got on the road. I was soooo much better after I started getting the cappachino with the extra pumps of caffeine that was not caffeine but herbal energy boost something or another...but it worked wonders! I then made it all the way to Bowling Green KY before I had to fill up with gas. It was not

  • WOW its been a YEAR!

I cant believe how fast time flies! I  set this picture  up on my xanga a YEAR ago  since yesterday.  Let me tell you, I look  completely different! I'll add a photo of me  as of recently soon.  I only have about 21 mins .  left on my laptop.

So, I went running tonight with my roomie Liz and the pup. It felt good. I am in a swim aerobics class right now and I love it, I just wish I could run more. So, like i have planned and planned to do for like ever I am going to try to run every other day. about 3 times a week.  I wanted to start doing it in the morning but, sleep seems to precious to me now that I'm super busy.

YAWN. Speaking of which I need to hit the hay. I'm so tired.....sigh.

p.s. Good news. Joe is going to be moving in! Since my rent here is only $325 with ultilities and his Rent starts out at: 525.00 he'll be saving up to $700.00 when all is said and done! (EACH MONTH!!)
How did this amazing oppertunity come about you ask?
Well, my roomate turned lesbian and moved in with her girlfriend. lol. Well, partically, and the other half is because she cant stand unorder/messes and things of that nature. Not saying that I am, I'm more on her side of the matter on some things, but I am one to get over things. I guess if I had the money and the balls I'd move out and live with my boyfriend. . . but, now that she's moving out he can move in, and save more money. . . YAY!

Hopefully everything works out! ! ! I'll keep ya'll posted.
    goodnight ya'll!

    love,

  • I miss you.

I miss you soo much right now.
With eveything that has been going on. I know its only been a week since you've been gone, but when you're alone it feels like a lifetime.
I'm sick, I'm scared, I'm nervous. Which doesnt help that I'm stressed. I just wish I had more time; with you with me, with us, and with everything else.

    i miss you.

  • Did we LEARN anything?!

In Remberance of 9/11 I want to ask a question that I was asked by my Theatre 100 teacher, Dr. O'hara:

    "Did we learn anything?"

Five years ago today I as well as the rest of the world had found out about the terroist attacks in the midst of my "normal" hectic day of being 16, a sophmore in High School. . . sitting in classes wishing that I wasnt there. Then- my teachers, they were my favorite teachers Mrs. Hurt and Mrs. Peters, were crying. I thought, "Oh, no! I hope nothing bad had happened!" and they told us the news... that there had been a fatal accident --and that the Twin Towers had been attacked. I was confused. What the crap are the Twin Towers? I thought.
After being told of what had gone on, we were left at that. Dr. Yoman, the Superintendent of my school district in Lowell, Indiana, had the cable shut off.

We were left alone in the dark--no information, no news, Histroy blocked from every student.

He made a horrible mistake. I wish-like every other school in the country--was able to LIVE and LEARN from that moments in our histroy. -alas, men are stupid.

    Anyways--back to the question.
      WHAT DID WE LEARN?
    -what has been resolved?
           HAVE WE CHANGED?

Before, right after 9-11-2001 I felt changed. I felt moved, conected to EVERY other AMERICAN. I felt pride, remorse, pain, honor...

Now, 5 years later--there is no more Flags flying about on every doorstop, you seldom see yellow ribbions. . . you hear people talking through the National Anthem, instead of seeing tears as it once had affected us...

NOT to say that I think we should dwell on the past--not at all!! I think that we should REMEMBER and LEARN from our past.   Have we?
