week 16 in pregnancy! almost halfway there... and i've already broken into maternity clothes. today was the first. i'm in that awkward in between stage right now. my jeans still fit fine with the belly band. and my shirts are fine. but i only have 2 pairs of cute shorts (non-athletic). period. and they don't look or feel so great with the belly band, especially when it's 95 degrees outside. you just want something a little looser ya know? so my mom found these brand new old navy white shorts/capris at a garage sale for $2.50!! add $3 for shipping, and i got a steal. anyway, i wore them today and they are soooo cute. a little big, but i'm sure i'll grow into them. so then we went to old navy today to just see what else they had, and they were having a big sale so i figured i might as well just pick up a few more things to get me through the summer... walked out with 3 maternity tank tops and a pair of maternity jean shorts for $30. i am very happy...

i didn't feed my poor stepdaughter until 2pm today. ooops. we were both STARVING. but we got a late start on errands, then the line at the commissary was huge, and afterwards we stopped for a quick visit with mcfly. then when we got home and started unpacking the groceries, she accidentally dropped the bottle of sesame oil. big mess... thus the late lunch time. but we survived. i think we're both going to take a nap and then go swimming when daddy gets home.

speaking of which, mcfly gets a 4 day weekend this weekend! we knew he'd have the 4th off, but they said he could have monday off too as long as he's ready for his class that starts on tuesday. we have absolutely no plans, but will love just being together. my mom has company sunday... otherwise she said she would have driven down! boo (about the company part, not her driving down!)

i'm off to take my preggers nap. today i am thankful for paper towels that sorta absorb sesame oil

	my husband is on his way to california for a friend's wedding. and i miss him already. pathetic i know, but we've gotten spoiled. in our first year of marriage, we've only been apart 3 times... 2 of those being long weekends when i went home. i'm sure the navy has many more separations in store for us though

we got our baby bedding in the mail tuesday. they came in these HUGE boxes so my stepdaughter decided to just hop on in!

then yesterday she decided to decorate mcfly’s foam roll he uses for his back.

and finally… we found out today that she got accepted into her school’s gifted program, so we went out to eat to celebrate. here’s right before we went out… and my first time using my belly band! that’s right you tummy seekers, this week has shown some growth

also please pray for my uncle mark. he's been having some health issues since easter. they did an MRI last week and today they diagnosed him with possible multiple sclerosis. he starts treatment next week, so we'll see what happens

today i'm thankful for my wonderful little family

we're back with 8 year old in tow... the exchange wasn't without a little drama, but when is it ever not?? we're excited to have her here - oh the adventures we will have. oh, and she is very excited about the new sibling on the way.

speaking of which... i'm finally starting to get a tummy! i (stupidly) decided to wear a pair of my tighter jeans on the roadtrip. apparently when you're pregnant, walking around in jeans and sitting in a car in jeans are not the same. we had to stop halfway through so i could buy some sport shorts cause my jeans were so tight when i was sitting that it made my tummy hurt! little embarrassing...

mom and dad are camping this weekend for their 28th anniversay. i'm a little jealous. just too hot down here to go camping this summer. boo.

today i'm thankful for a safe trip this weekend

driving down to fort myers tomorrow to watch my stepdaughter's last soccer game, spending the night, then driving back sunday. we get her for 7 weeks this summer! time to switch to full-time mom...

my husband brought home donuts for dessert tonite. YUM

found a baby quilt and bumper pad that we both really like from pottery barn kids. and it's on sale right now! so grandma and grandpa bissett are buying it for baby mac. and grandma and grandpa mcellroy are buying us are first rocker! we have such an awesome family

working nights brings back my morning sickness. or rather my evening sickness. no fun at all. i hope it gets better as i get further along.

i better go get stuff packed. we leave at 4am. ewww

today i am thankful for glazed kreme filled donuts.
