  • 17 years old...

Today is Jon's 17th birthday...WOW...everyone is growing up so fast!  I am so proud of the man that Jon is becoming.  He acts and speaks with integrity and sets a good example for his peers.  Yes, I am very proud of him!

  • Life in general

I suppose it's been awhile huh?!

Well, let's see...my Uncle Edward, Aunt Barbara and cousin Jenn came up to visit for the 4th of July.  It was SO nice to see them again and spend a little time with them.  Sadly I worked most of the time they were here, but I still got a chance to see them

My summer seems to be flying by.  Before long I'll be in the DR and after that I have about a week before school starts...and let me tell you, I really am not looking forward to it yet!  Usually by now I'll be ready to go back to school-but this semester is going to be hard and stressful and I'm not ready for that yet!

Yesterday was the first time in awhile that I've picked up a book other than a textbook to read.  Ooooohhhhh, what a fun afternoon!  After I finished my homework I grabbed a book and read...and read...what a nice feeling-I've really missed reading and didn't realize it till yesterday!

My two littlest nephews are growing so fast.  I love holding and snuggling them.  It also makes me miss my other nephews and niece.  Jocelyn loving to be where I am, Aidan and his adorable hugs, and Riley with his cute smile...yes, I really miss them.  Abbers and Ryan, I miss you too!

Last night Jarrod and I went out to dinner with Carina and Rick.  What a fun evening!  It was really great to talk to another couple and spend time with them.  Yes, I really enjoyed last night!

I will be getting pictures of the house and all of its changes up here soon.

I suppose that brings you up to date!

  • Yesterday

Yesterday I went over to play a game of cribbage with Grandpa (who has been winning every time recently!) and when I walked in the door he turned from where he was standing and said, "There's my girl!"  Now, that may not seem like a lot, but it was to me.  See, that's the first time Grandpa has ever said anything like that to me.  And it meant a lot.  *sigh*  warm fuzzies
