| So it's almost 6 am here in Huntsvegas, Texas. I just finished my last sculpture for the semester and all I have to do now is turn in a website (that is pretty much done) and the sculpture then I am done. This semester has really flown by so fast. It kind of scares me in the fact that if the last two semesters I have left fly by as quickly I'll be graduated and on my own in no time...which is scary. So I've been giving what I want to do after I graduate some thought. One option is to try to find a job teaching high school art, photography, and art history. Another option is to go to grad school and get my Masters of Fine Arts in Photography, emphasis in Art History and then teach at a university. Another is to get a job in the camping industry somehow using my artsy skills where need (I have a lot of good connections there). And yet another, this is a new thought, is to work as a photographer in the Peace Corps (After talking to my friend Nicole briefly about the peace core put this bee in my bonnet). Now I know some of you are like WHAT!? But hear me out. If I spend two years in the peace corps I am guaranteed a government job when I come back...government you might say...but I have a friend who's mom works as the photographer for the congressional meetings in Austin. Another plus to the Peace Cops is that I'll get to travel for free essentially, taking pictures of exotic places, perhaps trying to freelance sell them to National Geographic or something like that...And yet another plus is that they will work with me on getting my masters degree...some universities will even give you credits for your time in the corps. Basically it will open up doors for me as well as me volunteering and helping people...what's better than that!
So I'm not sold on anything yet...but that last option is a new one...and an intriguing one. I still have plenty of time to think about it. BUT as of now, I'm going to head to bed for a couple of hours. Turn in my final projects and then have a celebratory I'm done dinner with my good friends Nicole and Cio. Friday morning I'll head home to Katy and then proceed from there with la familia to my cousin's wedding in Florida. I'll be back in Katy Sunday night, Dentist appt on Monday morning then I head back to Huntville to pack up my apartment in preparation to move one weekend in July (I'll basically come down for the day and move all the boxes from one place to the other...if you'd like to help that would be most appreciated, I'll buy you dinner! Then I'll return for the last week of camp)
But on May 25 is when I head out to Camp Peniel for the summer...so give me a call...we'll get together and hang out before I leave.
This has been a crazy semester in so many ways but good at the same time...this summer...will be crazy but extremely awesome! I'm really looking forward to it! Give me a call seriously, we need to hang.

| I got the apartment/loft/studio whatever it is...I think I will call it the Yoga Loft. And I'll move in around August 13th!
Hooooooo-Ray!

| So I've been looking around frantically for an apartment. Two weeks left in the semester my roommate tells me she's moving in with another friend. I wouldn't have minded EXCEPT I have 2 weeks left of school and then I'll be gone all summer up in Austin for camp. So I have a very short amount of time to either a) find a roommate b) find a reasonable one bedroom place. ALLLLLLllllll of my friends have a roommate by now and have leases and deposits down, which sucks especially since several of them asked me to move in with them and I told them I couldn't bc I didn't want to leave my roommate without a place to live...BUT lookie there, she does and now I don't. So I've been looking around and the one bedrooms at my complex are really expensive plus electricity. After a few new emotional breakdowns becuase I couldn't find anyone to live with and couldn't find a place I can afford I talked with my friend Lizzy. She cleans a yoga studio in a very very nice neighborhood in town, and the lady that owns it is looking to rent out the upstairs rooms. On the third floor is a tiny efficiency/loft/studio. I went with her on Friday morning to look at it and totally fell in love with it. You go up the stairs and when you get to the top straight forward is this little alcove with sloped ceilings where I want to put my bed...and there is a long skinny window under there. To the left is a living room area with the window unit and window seat and little closets on either side and two skylights!!! To the right is the bathroom. The tub is a tub and has one of the little hand held shower things like in parts of europe! with 2 skylights and good storage space for stuff. And right next to that is a miny kitchen with a tiny fridge sink and microwave...I would have access to the full kitchen downstairs that is recently renovated. The lighting in there is so great and I love it. I'll hear back for sure from the lady tomorrow. The studio downstairs is just open rooms with hardwood floors that I would be able to do whatever with when the classes aren't happening. There are 2 screen porches, one has a hammock chair, the back porch has the washer and dryer...that I have access to! AND the backyard is huge and has a porch swing and trees and flowers...hammock time!? YESSSS!!! And the best part of all is that the electricity, water, and internet is included in the rent with is all cheaper that the one bedroom apartment in my current complex! I'm really excited if you can't tell! OHhhhh and it's right down the block from the group of girls I really wanted to live with in the first place! So God is good and provides...even when I have mini breakdowns. If I get it I'll be moving in in August after camp!
Hoooorah! 2 weeks left of school my friends. Then I'll be in Florida for my cousin's wedding, then I'll be home in Katy for a couple of days then back in Huntsville for final camp packup/ pre moving packup. THEN CAMP! And this summer is looking like it's shaping up to be A-mazing! [sigh] THE END.
