It is amazing the impact you have on someone’s life; and you
don’t even realize it! Today, as I was exiting Dixie Hwy Starbucks for the last
time this summer, a sweet lady that I had served several times before heard
that I was leaving, came up to me and gave me a hug. Then she said that she
would miss me. Odd? …Perhaps...
It does cause my heart to rejoice at the simple thought that
God used me in the simple days to bring hope or joy into their lives. They may
not have known what was in me… (other than coffee, smile) that made me so
joyful. Thank God, it was him! He fills me with his beautiful joy and peace.
May he continue to fill my heart with more of his glory!
Peace out!

| pastorI know this is crazy that I am posting something so soon... but I was thinking today... It is truly an amazing thing to find a pastor that can both preach the Word and shepherd his people in humility and community. Today I went to two different churches. One with a really sweet personable paster, crack'n jokes, yet was swimming in his biblical text (Romans). Then I went to another church where the pastor was amazing at teaching/preaching the Word. Funny enough, he soundly preached a gospel centered message found in Romans. Perhaps my question would be, is it to much to ask for a pastor who will preach the Word faithfully -week in and week out - and a shepherd who personally cares for the flock God has entrusted to him? It is a high calling to consider being a pastor... a shepherd for God's people.

| Ice Cream Dance!
Well dear friends, despite a rough week, I had a great time
tonight! I eat dinner with a sweet friend of mine whom then joined me and my
parents for a concert. To make things even better, before we came home and said
our good-byes we stopped by one of my all time favorite places – Graeters Ice
Cream! With a large ice cream cone at
hand we took to the street… that is Bardstown
Rd, in the middle of the Highlands!
Oh, the fun times began when we were walking down the road and Mom an Pop
stopped to look into an antique shops’ window. It was at this sweet moment in
my life that the light on the corner changed color to red, causing the flow of traffic
to stop (obviously). At that very moment a greenish colored car with windows
down and the Disney song from Mulan, “We’ll Make a Man Out of You”, was blaring
from the car. I turn with much excitement and begin to dance and lip-sing the
words. The ladies in the car saw me and cracked up laughing. By then my sweet
friend and parents stepped a side and enjoyed the show… which only lasted all
of 23 seconds before the traffic light changed and traffic began to flow again.
The ladies in the car yelled, “That was awesome! You made our night!” Then
another car passed by, waving and honking their horn. I suppose they enjoyed
the show as well.
I say all of this to suggest that it is the simple random
things in life that make me happy! Ah! Praise God for amazing friends, great food, good music, fun
times and sweet dance moves on the side of a dimly lit street, with a massive ice
cream cone in hand!

| Marriage?Humm... friend what do you think? Marriage: When you are not married...consider it God's mercy (wrong person and wrong time...not happy?) When you are married... consider it God's grace (waiting for whom God has for you.)
Even though I am not married, this is something I have been thinking about, off and on, for the past few weeks. Please, single and married alike, tell me what you think, if you want. :)
peace out.
