| my roommate caught me keeping notes on the funny things that are said in our apartment... and i got quoted.
marie: yeah, well what if jesus made that $35 shirt? lindsay: i would say, "jesus, i don't really have the money to waste on that shirt." i think he would understand.
kayleigh: "whaaaay." Did you hear that? did you hear Abby say that when you left the room. marie did you see these mocassins? why are they so expenssive? is it b/c they are so expensive? I LIKE THE YELLOW ONES/ WE COULD GET THE SAME COLOR AND THEN WE COULD SHARE A PAIR.
abby: what are you doing lindsay? Lindsay? looking at swimsuits. abby: I've never ordered a swimsuit off line/ its too risky. kayleigh: I'm suuuuuuuuper tired. I'm going to lay down. I'm just going to lay down.

tomorrow i head out to camp for the summer! i'll desperately miss the roommies, but am thoroughly excited about CGN. i was blessed with a ridiculously awsome position (photog/camp blogger/etc) and i hope to honor my camp beyond expectations.

i'd like to make it known that never have i, nor will i, have the urge to purchase frozen peas and carrots. and if i do, i will definitely not stake my claim by initialing them.

| for the last few hours i have been scanning in my photos from Tenerife. i shot eleven rolls of film, and on day 2 of the trip my light meter's battery died. i kept shooting. each photo was soaked in prayer, and most of them turned out. i use the term 'turned out' quite loosely, as most of the photos are overexposed or have fun light leaks all over them. i am happy with them though, happy that they are not pretty, clean, or flawless. these are not vacation snapshots, and they are not fine art either. on the way back into the country i thought alot. mostly about love and trust, imperfection and sympathy, inspiration and how i need more hobbies. i am quick to love, but not to give my heart away. i have always been a believer that love is a choice, but i have recently come to realize that while i actively choose to love people i am not good at showing it.
i wonder if i don't see the urgency in everyday life. |
