You shall have no other gods before Me. You shall not make any graven image. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain. Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy. Honor your father and your mother. You shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. You shall not covet your neighbor's possessions.

Long time...

... no post.  I know.

I have been using facebook a lot more (since my friends from church use it).

So if you are interested in what's going on, that's the place to find me most often.

I do check xanga every once-in-awhile, but only rarely do I post anything anymore.

I guess that happens sometimes.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand I'm back!

Was in Mexico for 5 days on a mission trip (Acapulco) with a ministry called Grace Walk.  That was extraordinary.  I highly suggest that everyone who is called participate in a mission trip ASAP.

In other news, God is doing some amazing things right here in Gainesville (as if He wouldn't) and I hope that it spreads because I feel as though Americans are starting to lose their sense of community.

Lastly, thank you to all the people who have kept me or my family in their prayers.  I am very grateful.

Blessed are those who call things as they will be and not as they see them.

Peace

Entry

Ok, I know that I haven't been on here in more than a month.

Sorry.

Sometimes life happens and xanga must wait.

I just wish life could be a little softer sometimes...

God's gift

From time to time I am given strong senses of urgency or clarity or anticipation for or about certain people.  In the past month such an occurrence has happened specifically for someone in my family and within days something significant occurred in that person's life.  Since then, I have had more people "on my heart" in the same fashion.  I know these people from family to friends to friends I haven't seen or talked to in years.  I am trying not to over-spiritualize things here, however, I believe that there are many mighty things occurring and I do not know what they are... only that they may happen within a very short period of time (based on prior experience).

The last sense that I had was so strong that I thought that something was wrong with me.  My sister was missing (for months) and with no good logical reason I knew that she was found.  I didn't know who found her, I didn't know who knew her whereabouts, but I knew she was found, not in my head, but in my heart and with every fiber of my being.  In two days I was called and told that she had been found (on the previous day) in SC because the mother of the "friend" that she was staying with called the police and reported her.

That's the background.

Now, I have had similar senses for the following:
My grandfather and his salvation

Others who have been on my heart, without the intensity of the previous two examples, but with specificity (for whatever reason, I do not know):
Josh Jackson
Amy Faith
Jessica Shafer
My brother, Mike

Do I know what any of this means?  Hardly.  The only reason I share it is to offer maybe some advance knowledge, to put it into writing for the edification of those who are affected by it.  If nothing else, know that the Father is causing His own to lift you in prayer.

Saviour!  He can move the mountains!
My God is mighty to save!  He is mighty to save!

Go in peace

Ok, so I haven't updated in a long time.

What would you expect?

Anyway, the low-down on Lexi is that she has not decided to return home, although everyone knows now where she is staying and she actually speaks with my mom over the phone every once-in-awhile.  The best news of all is that mom tells me that she is becoming softer to the idea of repentance and seems ready to return, but just isn't quite there yet.  So keep her in your prayers or add her as such.

In other news, my work situation is really turning into something amazing.  I apparently have great favor with my bosses and among my peers, which really makes being at work a blessing just because of the people.

Also, the group of people that I know from church are really bonding well.  I don't know if it is explainable by personalities or if it is something much more profound, but I am thankful to have found such a caring and open group of people to share some of life with.

More to come...
