What’s up ya’ll!  I am sitting at Morehead University in Morehead, KY.  There is nothing here but the college.  We are staying at this sweet house though!  It used to belong to the President of the United Sates, not really, just the President of the University.  We have the place all to ourselves.  So, as we start to travel in the Deep South, my southern draw is really starting to flow out!  It is hilarious and Kerry I will call you soon so your can hear!  My team is all laughing at me because of it, but I don’t catch it.

All of our Meetings have been really good, but last night at Morehead we had some technology difficulties.  Right after Bryan started to give the main talk, he called me up to give my testimony so he could go back and fix the problem.  I was caught off guard and went up there and gave my spill.  It was so crazy, but we made it through by God’s grace!  The students didn’t know the difference, but we all laughed about it later.  On Sunday we spoke at a church in Memphis, and for lunch we ate with the most incredible family.  They intentionally moved from the suburbs of Memphis with their 4 children into the inner-city to live and work among internationals and refugees.  They now live in a 2 bedroom home (all 4 kids are in one room) and last week the kids heard gun shots, but this family knows without a doubt that this is where the Lord wants them now.  Stories like this and meeting people like this family are so encourage and keeps me going while I am on the road!

Well, Now I have plunged head first into the 1-2-1’s.  As of today, I have met with 27 girls and it has been great.  Wednesday I had 7 appointments, each an hour long!  I always thought I could talk all day long, but by the end my throat was killing me.  I couldn’t say a word. Ha-ha.  I really love getting to sit down with girls and share with them more in detail how they too can get involved with God’s heart for the world!

I am not sure what we will be doing tonight.  We have the night off from meetings.  I think we might go try to find some Blue people or hillbillies here in Kentucky!  It is a myth around here that there are people who live in the mountains and are actually blue.  Some people claim it to be true and I want to check it out.  I have to convince my team!

I survived my first meeting!  It was last night and I shared my testimony for the first time.  I will admit I was terrified, but the Holy Spirit calmed me down and I got through it.  I didn’t mess up, but I need to slow down and make it more personal.  It was so much fun though.  We had 1-2-1’s right after the meeting and I just observed Alicia sharing the tool (an illustration that tells what a world Christian looks like and how to grow in that area).  We had 22 students at the meeting, so it was small, but 13 stayed after for 1-2-1’s!  Praise the Lord.

Right now I am in Memphis at this sweet café.  It is close to the river and downtown area.  We will be in Memphis until Sunday and are next meeting is Sunday morning.  Today, we are going to visit Graceland, home to the King of Rock and Roll.  A lot of people told us that live here that they have never been.  My brother-in-law is going to be so jealous!

OK – I have to tell you a funny story that happened to the guys at our wonderful host home.  The husband asked us to lock the door of the bedrooms because they have a 3 and 1 ½ yr old little girls and warned us if we didn’t, they would walk right in when they woke up.  So, we all did.  However, the guy’s room door locked, but if you jiggle the handle it will open up anyway and the 3-yr-old walked right in and stared at them sleeping.  It was so funny hearing them tell the story.  They woke up, but didn’t move until she left!  Anyway that is what is up with the last couple of days on the road.  Hope you have a great weekend!

Hey everyone!  I can't believe the time is finally here for me to get on the road.  Thank you for all your love and support to get me to this point.  I wanted to create this blog to keep you posted about what life is like on the road.  It will sometimes be serious and funny as I experience living out of a bag for 3 months.

Speaking of living out of a bag, I have already started my journey as I packed my bag last Friday and headed to Conway Saturday.  It took me all day to figure out what to take and how to fit it in my bag.  I love my shoes and I am so excited to say I of course got them in!  After finally zipping my bag, I could bearly fit it into my trunk.  I started to laugh and I can only image what my team and others are going to say.  To my defense my trunk is very small.  It was hard to say goodbye to my family as I got use to being back at home.  I am going to miss them very much exspecially my niece (Lani) and my nephew (Lucas).  Lucas is 4 and just started preschool and Lani is 18 months and loving all the attention.  They are wonderful!  My sister suprized me with a big cookie the day before I left that said "We Love you Aunt Kim".  It was so sweet and good.  Love you guys!

Well, I hope you have a great day and I will speak to you soon.
