| I did it. I finally got what I came here for. After enduring countless rejections, reluctantly making diffiicult sacrifices and plenty of 90+ hour workweeks, I finally feel the tangibility of my dreams materialize. I made it to the CDO (collateralized debt obligation) trading desk at UBS and couldn't be more excited. It's amazing that thoughout college I told myself over and over I wanted to trade on wall street and to finally have achieved a far fetched persinal goal makes me believe that if I just put my mind to it, I can make it happen. Now, I just need to get serious, and become an expert in the field and gain BSD status. So the next question is, do I dare tell myself that I want to own my fund one day? |

| So I finished watching season 1 of the TV series LOST. It was really really good. Lately, my mind has been wandering off... I wonder what it would be like to be stuck on an island with unpredictable weather, unfamiliar characters and unending trials. Would I be like Jack and stick to what I believe is right or become like Sawyer and live savagely and let my natural instinct guide me.
hmm... |

| I've officially converted to the Chinese nationality this weekend:
- I watched an independent chinese film called "Saving Face". At one point I stopped reading the subtitles and knew what was going on
- I ate dim sum on saturday. Everything but the chicken feet.
- Ate congee when I felt sick.
- Played in 2 mahjong tournaments till 3 am. (although there probably is a minimum number of hours required to play in order to legally make the switch, I'm sure I'm close)
- When I hear "mayo", I no longer think of a white condiment that goes into BLTs. I hear "no thanks"
Hopefully this metamorphisis will improve my GMAT math score along with my cooking skills. |
