| long time no post... after eating dinner with my family (we're celebrating fathers day today because lance is going off to camp tomorrow) i went to Grant to kick around, while there, five guys showed up, they were of mexican descent, 2 of the 5 were kids (maybe 6 or 7 years old) they started to play soccer while the rest of them (older guys) played basketball, the kids soon asked to join me, i obliged, then the kids asked the older guys to join, we ended up playing a 3v3 pickup game, it was fun, that's the only way to put it, it was Soccer, Futbal, Fußball, call it what you want, i had a blast. I didn't know them at all, they spoke more english than i had spanish. I didn't have to know them or their language, the game spoke for me. This game truly is the language of the world. I don't know what it will take, my goal is to play on the u.s. national team, i don't know how realistic that is to you, but to me it is what i will shoot for.

| WTF!!so the u.s. national team kind of got screwed over.
-Pope's straight red wasn't deserving, should have been a verbal warning as he already had one yellow card that game
-Mastroeni's straight red was no where near deserving because he had committed no previous foul, had no verbal warning and it was clearly not vicious enough to gain a red -this call was probably a makeup call for an earlier foul-
-Offside call on u.s. almost goal was close, the player didn't directly interfere with play but was in front of the goalkeeper (referees discretion)
-and for those of you who think that the u.s. couldn't have scored by themselves, look where mcbride is on italy's own goal, he would have certainly put that in without a second thought
-by the way, this referee was suspended for being irregular in card distribution, he did not participate in the last world cup because of the suspension
-italy's card was, in my opinion very much deserving of the red that was given, it was a flagrant, violent foul that, in case you didn't notice, cut mcbrides face, he bled rather nicely and had to get a new jersey
-in conclusion i believe that this referee should be reviewed and possibly be stripped of his license
-the u.s. team is still in it

| well, today was certainly good, i woke up, cleaned my room, added about 200+ songs to iTunes, played some videogames and waited for people to show up, the game went... ok.... we should have won, we had a ton of shots... o well, the people that went made it worth it, thank you to everyone who went, it means a lot to me have people see my games, thank you
but anyways i am currently listening to music that i just put on iTunes so life is good, see y'all around 'night

| well, commencement went well yesterday, Laura's speech was great, after that i went back to her house for her graduation party, but i left to go send Dick off. Kind of sad, he gave me his marines lanyard and said to hang on to it for him... i came close to crying..., after that i went back to laura's until about ten, then we went out to carousel concepts for the dance, had a good time, then went home around midnight, overall, i had a great day, bye all
