see relatedHairspray
I watch hairspray on broadway two days ago. The broadway was awesome and it was very interesting and its was really funny and I really enjoyed very much. Some of my favorite parts are at the ending when I think it is Penny's mother came on the stage from the audience. And she was walking through the audience and stop and yell at the old man for "touching" her and she also yell at you monkey! I laugh really hard. My another favorite was when Seaweed came back from the nurse's office with Penny and he was saying " I found some bandaid, cloth, and a rubber" Oh.... thats mine. its was really good. I like the last song I think it was called You Can't Stop the Beat.

7:30 Wake Up
I slept a little longer…… YAY!
8:00 – 8:50 Breakfast
I just ate cereal because they the soggy eggs and bacon and I hate them both to my heart. And I was still freaky hungry!
9:00 – 9:20 Leadership Groups Meeting
We talk about the news that was in the morning newspaper. The title said The Gun Ban Went Down! Then we talk what we are going to the panel and listen, important people talk about stuff.
9:30 Panel on Humanitarian Issues: A Global Response Population and Reproductive Health
It was so BORING! The introduction was long in my opinion for the four who was introducing themselves. The speaker was Mr. Mike Doyle (Moderator, Reporter, and McClatchy Newspaper), Robert Blum (MD, MPH, PhD, Sr. Professor and Chair, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health), Ms. Ruth Levine (Vice President for Programs and Operations, and Senior Fellow, Center for Global Development), and Mr. Jeff Spieler, (Senior Science Advisor, Office of Population and Reproduction Health, Bureau for Global Health, Us AID). I totally fell asleep or least I tried. When I got fed up with everything I started to play my Nintendo DS that was in my purse and I was being sneaky to with it.
10:45 – 12:00 Leadership Group Meeting
After the panel meeting we went immediately back to our room to discuss about what happen in the panel conference. They said the panel keeps repeating the same stuff over and over again and the subject was lend to a talk about whether or not abortion was suppose to be illegal or legal. That was led to a talk about some sick stuff I guess.
12:10 – 1:10 Lunch
For lunch everybody ate in the hotel today and we didn’t leave hotel to go anywhere. So I had a sandwich with three layers of bread, two kinds of meat, lettuces, onions, and cheese. To wash everything down was hotel’s nasty tasting fruit punch.
1:20 – 2:20 Leadership Group Meeting
I was writing about the statement so I had to write the flip chart and I keep messing up. My hand is cover with blue marker. I had to get it done fast because being on time is a pain in the ass!
2:35 – 4:40 Peace & Security: Conflict Resolution
It kinda a “real” world meeting between all the countries they are fighting over a group of islands that oil with major money making place. It was chaos because the people won’t stop talking when others are trying to speak. It was confusing and the statement was crazy that was made in the countries.
4:55 – 6:20 Leadership Group Meeting
We talk about what happen in this activity before and most of the people were annoyed by the veto power by the some countries made and the reason they did it was stupid. Most people in the Bolivia group hated the veto power and people in the room they suppose to work with are all idiots! BAKA!
6:30 – 8:05 Dinner
For dinner I had tacos and it was not very filling.
8:15 – 10:15 Leadership Group Meeting
We had a Cultural Exchange and the people talk about their countries and they snacks and present to give to everyone and I didn’t know about it so I just brought my scrapbook with so photos I worked on. I was fun and funny.
10:30 Bedtime
I had to pack my bags because I am going to New York City tomorrow!
June 28, 2008 Hello NYC
6:00 Wake up
It is too damn early for me. This very sucks because after I finish washing up for the day. I took my luggage up the stairs and to the bus boarding parking lot. And believe me, my suit was mother f***er heavy!
6:45 – 8:20 Breakfast
Today I had once again the hotel soggy eggs and they have very nice potatoes and I also had a bowl of cereal too. The orange juice was a bit sour tasting. During breakfast I had to go buy something for my family first and later I am trying to find the perfect gift for all or least most of my closest friends in Florida.
8:00 – 8:20 Leadership Group Meeting
We talk about how we are going to New York today, and my FA Angela ask to give our room keys to her and for me I just lost my key just before we are going to NY. That was funny in my opinion. She told everybody to use the restroom before leaving the hotel or use the bus toilet and it will still the bus up real bad. That a major NO NO!
9:00 Bus is on the Road
Bus is on the road and I have nothing to do on the road so I went to sleep and it was hot in there. Since there was no one sitting next to me, I lay down in an uncomfortable position. During the time I was sleeping, everybody was watching a movie called I believe Up Town Girl and I didn’t what it was about and didn’t care. I did watch the ending of the movie.

12:00 Birthplace of US Democracy: Lunch in Philadelphia’s Historic District
We have arrived in Philadelphia to eat lunch and maybe a little bit of shopping. For me I ate Chinese food and I am very happy because it was a long time for me ate anything Asian lately. The biggest shock was my lunch cost TWENTY-TWO dollars and now I am down to my final one hundred dollars. Stuff here is to damn expensive! I saw the Liberty Bell but I didn’t see the crack on it because it was far away.

3:00 On the Bus Again
I started trying this blog in till my computer almost dies. I was still bored currently and as the bus hit the highway, we started watching Rush Hour 3 and I seen it already and I still prefer 1 and 2 better. Then I went to sleep again in till we arrive at the Manhattan College to stay in New York.

6:00 Arrival in New York City
Woot! We are here at last and it was a pain in the ass because after our luggages are taken out and it started to RAIN, at least I didn’t get wet because I was first couple people who left the bus and went in the college. The tiny hills were hard for me because my suitcase was so Freaking Heavy and I also have my laptop and backpack and those was heavy for me.
6:30 – 8:15 Dinner
The food here was better than one I ate in the hotel! Today I had pasta, nasty tasting shrimp, potatoes, and brisk iced tea. FREE soda!
8:30 Manhattan College Campus Orientation
I sorta met a new friend and everybody went to the quadrangle with beautiful green grass and freedom for a while.

8:45 – 10:15 Leadership Group Meeting
We talk about first was everybody has to released the complaints about the bathroom, rooms that we sleep in. Then talk about something about Global Summit.
10:30 Bedtime
I froze to death because I didn’t turn off the air conditioner.
June 29, 2008
6:00 Wake up
Woke up and went back to sleep and woke up again at 6:10 and finally got out and took a shower.
7:00 – 9:00 Breakfast
For breakfast I had eggs that was not soggy, waffles that is not soggy too, and potatoes tots with a cup of apple juice to wash everything down.
9:05 Slice of the Big Apple: New York City Site Experience
Today I went to the Guggenheim Museum and it was boring. Rachael I saw a lot of ssssspppppiiiiirrrraaaaallllllssssssss……….. (Spirals) Weeeeeee! The art there was all weird looking and one look like a punching bed and others look like a bunch of pieces are just glue together and they called it ART! I was hungry so I went out in front of the museum to eat cheap. I ate a chicken kebab I think on a hotdog. The FA there was like go back in and I didn’t want to.
12:15 Lunch in Time Square
I didn’t eat lunch in time square because I ate at the museum place so I shop for presents and look for a bookstore with my friend Anton. We didn’t have enough time for it because of the Broadway show going to start and we went in like two stores and one of them of Hersey shore.

1:15 Meet Faculty Advisor
We went are try to find the FA because we are lost and went in the wrong Starbucks.
2:00 Music on Broadway: Cirque Dreams: Jungle Fantasy
The show was awesome but it didn’t have an actual story plot at all. The violinist that in there and music was awesome. The woman was supposed to be Mother Nature, her singing was good but it was putting me to sleep. The performance was like a circus with flying people.

5:15 Dinner at South Street Seaport
The place was awesome because they have internet café but they have crappy salad and play on the internet was fifteen minutes for three dollars. The GameStop was HUGE in my opinion and didn’t buy anything because I already brought the games in Washington DC. Today it rain and it was wet. That SUCKS!

8:50 – 10:15 Global Summit: Commission Meeting I
It sucks because I was sweaty and tired and then everybody has was force go to a meeting at the end of the freaking day. It was boring as hell!
10:30 Bedtime
June 30, 2008

We talk what happen in the commission meeting the other day. I fell asleep because I was VERY tired. So I don’t really remember what happen what actually happen.
10:00 – 11:55 Global Summit: Commission Meeting II
This was crap, I am in the health commission and didn’t really care about it because I only become serious when I get a grade for it and I know I am getting more knowledge from these meetings except I really hate these meetings.
12:05 – 1:05 Lunch
Lunch was Awesome~ because I had pasta, mash potatoes, turkey, covered in gravy. It was DELICIOUS and I drank with it is brisk ice tea. Right after lunch I went to the library and went on the internet. WOOT!
1:15 Meet FA
It was basically find your FA and take roll to see if you are here. It was stupid because I was planning to skip.
1:30 Mastering the Challenges of International Business: Address from the Financial World
I went to listen to Mr. Guy Tozzoli (president, World Trade Center Association) and I didn’t listen to it at all because I was listening to my iPod and not paying attention to him. For other people it was very rude. I totally also fell asleep.

3:00 – 4:25 Leadership Group Meeting
Everybody in my group Bolivia we discuss about what happen in the commission meeting and then what happening next.
4:40 – 5:40 Global Summit: Strategy Session
BORING! I was listening to my iPod most of the time.
5:50 – 7:10 Dinner
My dad came at my request of a blanket, pillow, and money. He also brought Chinese food YUM! First I got some internet connection then I lost it and was like all damn it and shit. And I spent most of my time trying to find the internet connection. I totally wasted my time.
7:20 – 8:05 Leadership Group Meeting
We are discussing all the commission meeting and what has happen in there. A lot of people in the Bolivia said there a lot of stupid people in the little groups.

10:10 – 11:00 Global summit: Strategy Session
I had to run to my room and grab money. Then I ran back to the smith auditorium and was tired. We basically in here to find out what the other “countries” group are voting for and try to persuade the other countries to vote what we want.
11:15 Lunch
Lunch was okay and but the bad part was that we had to eat in the bus. I had a turkey sandwich that just has turkey and I add mayo and mustard. That was okay. I also had an orange and made my hand sticky and in the need to wash my hands.
1:30 Catalyst for Global Change: Greetings from the United Nations
We went to the United Nations and had a speaker with Ms. Gillian Sorensen, (Senior Advisor and National Avocation United Nations Foundation) I was really trying to stay awake and the first time I was resting my head and watching the speaker with my camera and the FA told me to sit up. The second time I was watching the speaker and my neck became a bit stiff and lower my head. I doze off and my head was nodding back and forth. The same FA told me I had to stay awake. I was really trying to stay awake. The speaker was interesting and all but her voice was soothing and lures me to sleep.

3:00 Behind the Scenes: United Nations Guided Exploration
It was cool because I get to see the gifts from different countries like China and India. The place where the votes are made from every country around the world was big and sorta cool at the same time. After the tour was done I went in the gift shop to a something but I didn’t have enough time to look to at all the shops.

5:45 Dinner at Rockefeller Plaza
At the plaza me and my friend was wondering around trying to the food court that said on the map the FA gave us. The map was completely useless to me. We circle the entire place for a good 5 to 7 minutes in till we were told it’s downstairs. So we use the elevators to get downstairs. For dinner I had a cup of soup called the Ten Vegetables and an egg salad sandwich. It was good with a Snapple drink with it. After finish eating we went in the GameStop store and look around. When the time for us to go back we went to the ice cream store and I brought cookie dough on a cone and I told the person to give me two scoops and I think she gave me like three and a half.

10:00 National Delegations Rally

1:00 Lunch in Chinatown and Little Italy
Yes Chinatown a place I feel at home because eating American food 24/7 is not good for me so I brought some mei fun for $1.25 and bread with bobo tea YUM! The place was cheap so I brought a lot of stuff.

7:00 Wake up
It’s a bit better than before because I get more sleep.

Today I had sausages, with French toast with syrup, and cereal.
8:35 – 9:10 Leadership Group Meeting
We talk about the Holocaust and what happen was the government went bad.
9:30 Museum Tour
First everybody in bus one – four I think went to the Holocaust Museum and everything was interesting when I learn new facts about Germany. Than everything became very depressing because what Hitler did to the victims. He made them went through disgusting experiments. The children were so freaking depressing. After the tour through the depressing facts of what happen to the Jews and other. I got lost to where to go after this. After wondering around, I found my way to The Museum of Natural History and went in I look at the fossil of dinosaurs, reptiles, mammals, ancient fish, natural rocks and crystals, plants, and insects. It was a bit boring ~ Then I went out being hungry and I decide to walk all way to The Museum of Native Americans (native people they hate being called Native Americans, and Indians) to eat because I know the food there was good. Since I went there in my second conference and went through the place and brought a dream catcher there too. I had salmon and mash potatoes it was very good but at the same time it is expensive. TWENTY DOLLER FOR THE FREAKING MEAL! Then I walk all the way to the natural museum and take my word to your heart it was a long way. I sat outside of the museum in the shade and being bored. I have nothing to do and it was hot outside too. I kinda fall asleep outside. I got too fed up of being hot I went in the museum again for the air condition yay. I wonder around looking at the mammals section of the museum because I have enough time before I leave. I brought a keychain with my younger brother’s name on it for him and a T-shirt from the hotel. Then I got very bored and went outside again in the hot sun. Waiting and waiting for the time to pass by to go and get dinner. And finally the time is here.

2:00 White House Picture Option
5:30 Dinner at Pentagon City Fashion Centre
The place was beautiful and all but for me to shop in the clothes that I don’t like. . . . NO WAY IN HELL! So I went to the only place I would go is GAMESTOP. I brought Final Fantasy X and Dance Dance Revolution Extreme II and at a low price because the games was used. The place was so big but they didn’t have a bookstore and I am mad.

7:45 – 8:30 Leadership Group Meeting
We are discussing about what we did today and some people saw the president today. WOW! Maybe…. Then we started our next activity for the Peace and Security and it is kinda boring for me and I am in a need for a shower.

7:30 Wake up
Very tired and the sleep was not too restful.
8:00 – 9:30 Breakfast
The breakfast was disgusting because the eggs are soggy and the potatoes were okay and the cereal didn’t have the one I want to eat. I didn’t get full at all. All in all the breakfast was
good.9:40 – 11:00 Leadership Group Meeting
The group meeting was boring and it was interesting where everybody play the game.
12:00 Lunch at Union Station
The Union Station was a beautiful building. It was a mall, a food court, and airport all together. I had large New York style pizza and it was so big I barely finish the pizza. I went look at stores and saw a bookstore and I automatic went there because where there are books there is manga and magazine I be devoted to read.
2:00 Interacting in the Global Community: Cross Cultural Communication and Leadership
I went to the meet and listen to a public speaker named Dr. Gary Weaver, Professor, International Communication, School of International Service, The American University. I was sitting at theatre like place with him speaking. His advice or a long speech was dull but at the same time humorous. I kind went to “sleep” opps……. Sorry Dr. Gary Weaver.
Foundations of U.S. Diplomacy
After the speech everybody broad the bus and went saw Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial first we went click and snap and go because of the limit time. Since we didn’t have enough time we only wave hello to the Thomas Jefferson Memorial and the FA gave us some information about it to.
5:00 – 5:45 Leadership Group Meeting

6:30 Wake up
Now that was too early because I was very tired and hate getting up too early when normally I wake up at 11 or much later.
7:00 - 7:55 Breakfast

9:30 Promoting International Monetary Cooperation: International Monetary Fund
It was a speaker and it was interesting to listen to what he have to say and I fell “asleep” too because it was boring too.
11:00 Lunch in Georgetown
Georgetown was beautiful place to be at and I was hungry and looking at the map the FA gave us help me a little bit I eventually found Subways and went in there and ate a meatball sandwich. I bump into Anton, a new friend and also a major anime/manga lover like me. So I follow him and his little group of friends talking about anime and manga. We went out of the boundary of map oopps… My feet really hurt and I am really sweaty and eww! I went and found another bookstore and went in there with Anton while he brought a pair of dice and I brought a magazine and a bookmark.
2:30 – 2:50 Leadership Group Meeting
It was interesting today because my FA Angela made us play BEAR – NINJA – COWBOY for a while and it is like rock, paper, and scissor but with bear, ninja, and cowboys. We basically take three steps forward to our partners face back to back and POSE as bear or a ninja or a cowboy. It was embarrassing for me and made myself to sit out on purpose.
3:00 A Global Village
For this I went to two of the seminars with my other new friend named Chrissy for the three o’clock I went to The Jane Goodall Institute: Roots and Shoots Program. It was interesting at first and after a couple minutes into the speech I got really bored and started to zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. I miss a lot of what they had said.
4:00 A Global Village
The second one I went to was the Peace Corps. I also went there with Chrissy and this was really interesting that I didn’t fall asleep that I normally do. The women for the group talk about how you can sign up for Peace Crop go to other countries and help out with the three months of learning about this county and you are sent there after your training. She said you stay there for 2 years. She also shows us a video of some of the people who works for them and they all enjoy it so much it changes their entire life. I enjoy this one a lot.
5:00 – 6:10 Leadership Group Meeting
We play another game called Pirates and it was also embarrassing too so I purposely lose and sit out.
6:20 – 7:20 Dinner
The dinner was okay today because I had salad as regularly, today “special” mac and cheese that tasted very
“first-class”, sweet peas (yum), and Fried chicken wing now that was good. The banana nut bread cake was good but the nuts got stuck in my braces. GRRRRRR!!!!!!7:30 – 6:10 The Politics of Trade: Hands Off! A Foreign Investment and National Dilemma
This was about our group Bolivia was split into three teams they are the Panel (the one I want to be in), Russian group and the European group (the one I am in ) We suppose to state some reason that we are right to the panel for some trade and don’t want Russia to “take” over Germany. We sorta lost to the Russia. O well like I care. I was called on to answer a question but I totally blank out and waiting for the people in my team to help me.
9:25 – 10:20 Around the World Trivia Social
A “mini” game with a set question for us scholars to answer. It was crazy because people were jumping
Bolivia. I didn’t care about the game at all because I did these games at least three or more times. I was typing this for a while. This blog is for you if want to know what happening in my summer.

7:00 – 7:50 Breakfast
The breakfast was CRAP! Today it was disgusting soggy eggs, bacon (I hate bacon), yogurt (I get stomach achs from yogurt in the morning), and unsweetened cheerios with plain tasting milk. I hope you guys have a better breakfast than me.
8:00 – 9:00 Leadership Group Meeting
US Department of State and Embassy Exploration Briefing by my wonderful FA Angela. She explain about what happen in this building and it was appealing to listen and it was mind-numbing and I was wonder when it was going to end.
11:00 Diplomacy at the Highest Level: US Department State
It is another speaker and his name is Dr. Jeffrey Bergner, Assistant Secretary of State for Legislative Affairs. His speech was totally uninteresting because I fell asleep and one of the FA had to wake me up and had difficulty trying to stay wake. To get in the building we had to we had to have our ID card. And it took forever for the speech to start. YAWN!!!
12:30 Lunch in DuPont Circle
I didn’t have enough time to look around in DuPont Circle and I had enough to buy lunch and start waiting for the bus. I like to see the place and maybe shop. The sandwich I brought was so spicy that I want to throw it away but can’t because I was hungry ~very.
1:20 – 3:50 Diplomacy at Work: Embassy Exploration
I went to the Embassy of the Republic of Germany. I was given a pin, waistband, information booklet, and German flag. ~yay~. The spokesman of Germany, he talks about what going in the building and the system. After all that we watch the football game (soccer) between Germany and Turkey. I had heard that Germany won and Turkey lost. During the soccer game I totally just fell asleep and I didn’t care about sports any way.
4:00 War & Peace: Reflection and Remembrance
After the Embassy everybody went to the memorials and monument s to sight sees. First we are drop off at the World War II Memorial and I took a few photos and started wondering around looking for my friends. After I found him I started walking behind him and to see how long it took he will notice me. I walk all to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and to the Lincoln Memorial. It was HOT outside! (Need a shower).
5:30 – 6:35 Dinner
Today for dinner it was a pasta salad, a cheese burger, French fries, green beans, and chocolate cake.
6:45 – 8:10 Leadership Group Meeting
We move to a SMALLER room. (TT_TT) And now we are talking about what we did today. ~yay~ We are discussing about war and what we are talking about. There are funny and depressing moments every now and there. This conversion was very stupid comment by Anton and Chrissy. <3 Anton’s head hurt because of the people are baka! Poison is a good solution for international problems, but leaves it to Russia; they know their subject better than the USA! – Chrissy. We are playing pirates game it kinda retarded but also fun.
Break
I am staying in the group meeting room and typing this blog. Within the room with Anton talking to our FA Angela about the world. I like his T-shirt of Uchiha symbol on the back of his shirt. YAY I was bored and drew neko girls and gave one for Anton.
8:25 – 9:25 Leadership Group Meeting
Peace & Security scenario analysis continued – This about my Bolivia is discussing about the important facts about our country we are representing for. I am so not paying attention to this because I was playing Mahjong Titans. I am learning more facts about Bolivia. I am supposed to write the facts down I am…………. I AM LAZY! We are going to start the next major activity ~
I am so excited! ~Comments ~...
This conference is kind of.. boring. Well, only few peoples talk all the time and you really can’t say anything -_-‘’’ But they are really cool people. I like it, except of course for the fact I fall asleep sometimes =_= ~ Anton
The conference is pretty overwhelming, but it’s really cool to meet new people! Hurrah! Intense is what I would use to describe it, but that’s okay. (By the by, Keely is pretty sweet for letting me use her internet!) – Alice (Roommate No. 2)
(
9:35 – 10:15 Evening Social
Everybody is sooooooooooo LOUD and CRAZY!!! Crazy people jumping on tables and chairs like flying monkeys. Ear plugs please!
