[Your Life: The Soundtrack
So here's how it works. Open your choice of music player [iTunes, Windows Media, RealPlayer, etc] and put it on shuffle. Press play. For every question type the song that's on. And when you go to a new question press the next button. DONT CHEAT or it won't be fun. Ready? GO!

Opening credits:
Stranger in a Strange Land -U2 (Very funny! Not the song of course, but the fitting title!)

Waking up:
Only Heart-John Mayer (Funny since never listened to it, because I haven't listened to the whole album yet.)

Average day:
Dance, Dance- Fall Out Boy (Sweet! That's pretty fun average day! I do probably dance like crazy almost everyday though. I can't help myself!)

First date:                                                                                                                 "How Blue Can You Get? (Live at the Regal)" -B.B. King (Okay, that cannot be good. My love life does suck, and my first date wasn't much to write home about.)

Falling in love:                                                                                                       "Sweethearts on Parade" -Louis Armstrong with Frank Sinatra (Great song, but is about watching the sweethearts on parade and wanting to join in. So sadly, fitting, but also another not good sign about my love life.)

Fight scene:
"Variatio 15" - Glen Gould, Goldberg Variations by J.S. Bach (That is one calm fight scene.)

Breaking up:
"Everyday" -Dave Matthews Band (Wouldn't this have fit better for the average day? I think so. Don't see how this could fit.)

Getting back together:
"Levon" -Elton John (Really don't see how that could fit.)

Secret love:
"Presence of the Lord" by Blind Faith (Eric Clapton) (Interesting. I would have liked this for the death scene.)

Life's okay:
"One" -U2 (YES!!!!!! Though I know the song is sad, not about life being okay, there are of course great messages in it, and if people would listen to them, maybe life would be okay.)

Mental breakdown:
"The Hands That Built America"-U2 (Can you tell I own a lot of U2, seriously this is what's coming up! I don't see how this fits either.)

Driving:
"No Stopping Us" -Jason Mraz (Okay, I guess it could work. Especially since I do a lot of highway driving to home. No stoplights or stop signs.)

Deep thought:
"Dog and His Master" -Macy's Playground (uhhhhh, okay.)

Flashback:
"A Room at the Heartbreak Hotel" -U2 (Seriously, this whole love thing isn't looking good for me. Fantastic song though.)

Partying:
"Blues Power" -Eric Clapton (Okay, this fits really well!)

Happy dance:
"Black Math" -The White Stripes (It is a fun song, very "danceable.")

Regretting:
"Bleeders" -The Wallflowers (That works.)

Long night alone:
"You May Be Right" -Billy Joel (Could work, sort of. I always say if I got married I 'd want this played at my reception.)

Death scene:
"Warning" -Green Day (Whoa! Weird. I'm so reading directions and warning signs! I'm very paranoid about warnings, directions, sirens, everything like that.)

"She Moves in Mysterious Ways"

I knew U2 had some songs that are good to dance to, but I didn't realize how many till I made a playlist of all the ones I could think of from the 9 albums I have. It came it to a little over 2 hours long. That's without the tons of remixes they've put out on singles. Some of the best are: "Big Girls Are Best" from the Walk On single, "Elevation." "Zoo Station" "Desire" "The Fly." There are a lot of great ones. A lot of them are from the second greatest hits album 1990-2000.

Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarth!

I've been rediscovering Garth Brooks since last night. I was crazy about him since I was about 8. Still "We Shall Be Free" is one of my absolute favorite songs. It's in the top 5. Sadly I found my limited edition Double Live CD second CD is cracked and screws up on the last song. Especially sad, because it's "The Dance." I've realised that Garth was like a prep for my obsession with U2 down the road. Both passionate and inspirational/idealist singers/lyrics. Fantastic. Both also love Ireland and America. As I do as well.

Valentine's Day 2006

Wal Mart's suggestion for romantic music in a recent print ad I got in the mail? Bon Jovi's Have a Nice Day. Yeah nothing screams romantic quite like Bon Jovi.
