Los Golondrinas vs Chipotle A comparative restaurant review.
Lets start with Los Golondrinas In Capistrano beach. This is you average looking, run of the mill, Hole in the wall food stop. The dine in atmosphere consists of a few plastic tables on the patio with some sun bleached Pepsie umbrellas. However the food is above average. Their burritos and rolled tacos are delicious with the fresh guacamole. The meat is delicious and the various flavors blended into a soft delicious flour shell make for a meal that far exceeds any fast food joint as well as many Mexican food restaurants. The price is not bad at all, you can buy a burrito with Carne Asada, Pork or chicken for $4.00. overall rating 3 1/2
Chipotle I had high expectations for this place. Constantly I had people raving to me about the deliciousness of the burritos here for such a cheap price. The atmosphere for dine in eating is equivalent to a nice Carl's Jr. and the food was not all that impressive in accordance to taste. Overall this was an average fast food restaurant with large portions as their mane draw. Overall Rating 2 1/2 stars
Top 7 Anticipated movies this year. In no particular Order
Speed
Racer From the team that brought us the timeless Matrix movies
comes a live action movie based on an anime from the 70’s. This is probably one
of the most popular cartoons of all time. Speed Racer centers around a young
man who has dedicated his life to racing cars. His legendary car, the mach 5,
is equipped with more gadgets than 007. I picked this trailer because it
features the mysterious “Racer X” and if you don’t already know who he is, I
won’t spoil it for you.
The Dark Knight
Obviously one of the most anticipated sequels in recent
history, the fact that its Heath Ledger’s final appearance also makes it
somewhat of a must see. Ledger plays the arch enemy of Batman. The Joker is
bent on causing chaos and loves a good laugh. This is undoubtedly going to be
one of the biggest blockbusters of the year.
Iron man
Surprisingly, I’m looking foreword to this movie as much as
I am “The Dark Knight” I had doubts when I first learned that Robert Downey Jr. was being cast
as a super hero, however after two trailers and a TV spot I intend to see this
movie ASAP. His character is witty, classy and seems to have way more fun than
any of the other on screen heroes these days.
Get Smart
An old TV show turned movie (Like Mission Impossible) Get
smart follows Steve Carell as an unexpected agent of the agency “CONTROL”
co-starring are Anne Hathaway and The Rock.
Step Brothers
Can’t really say why I’m looking so forward to this movie,
just watch the trailer and see for yourself
Indiana Jones and
the kingdom of the crystal skull
I in no way thought that I would be as excited as I am about
the new Indiana Jones movie, but after seeing the newest trailer I can’t wait.
Hellboy II
This looks like a mix between Hellboy and Pan’s Labyrinth.
Imagine all the monsters and weird things in pan’s and times that by 1,000 and
then have Hellboy fight them. See for yourself
Other movies I’m looking forward to this year
Chronicles of NarniaWanted, Leatherheads, The Incredible Hulk, WALL-E, CJ7, Punisher: Warzone, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
Currently Watching Hook By Dustin Hoffman, Robin Williams, Julia Roberts, Bob Hoskins, Maggie Smith see related
Israel is pretty sweet
Israel has been pretty sweet guys. However I have found out the hard way that it is in no way a complete desert wasteland all year round as my mind's eye had informed me. For the first week we've been here my brand new pairs of shorts have been useless to me as it has been freezing cold, and my good pair of shoes are currently soaking wet after a half day walk through old city Jerusalem in (get this) the snow and sludge. Although it was (and it) extremely cold at times, the landscape is beautiful and you can't get over the sense of awe you feel knowing and learning the history behind this land.
I have officially learned that Israel does stand in the continent of Asia, and if all goes well I will be visiting Africa later on in the semester via a trip to Egypt. If you haven't already checked out the countless pictures posted daily on everyone's, except my own, facebook account, you could always get updates and pictures from ibexsemester.com
