Why is it so cold everywhere? You know, statistically, companies who don't turn their heat up high enough contribute to a more than 50% loss of efficiency from their employees. Now why would you do that? I was wearing my wool coat and cashmere gloves. Not only could I not type at normal speed, I was staring into space.

Then, as you might all have expected, I arrived at a Veeeeeeeery cold asian house to tutor. Why are all asian homes cold? They had a portable heated plugged in at 58F. What's the point of turning the heat on, really!!!!

um...yea, i totally know what you mean about not being able to type at a proper speed. it's so cold in my office that i am actually mad at the cold! my advisor says she will buy a small heater for me. thank goodness. and about asian households, don't know what difference a space heater makes in a giant house....
