Shalom Kol Yisrael,

Enjoy this forward from a fellow brother.  If you have a high speed connection please look at this or if you know someone who does ask them if you can watch this with them.  Abba is at work during this time of restoration!

Shalom Brother Tzefanyah,

Check out this video from the Jerusalem assembly which  was globally televised yesterday, May 11, 2008:

http://www.god.tv/thecall-god_ (http://www.god.tv/thecall-god)  .   Please

click on Session 2,  specifically.  Amazing proclamations were made by Lou Engels (a  non-Jewish believer) and Asher Intrater (a Messianic Jewish believer).

This same convention center-  which hosted this spiritually charged assembly and whose  atmosphere was permeated with faith-filled historic prayers  and

proclamations- was today (and will again be tomorrow) the meeting place  for no less than President Bush and the Kings of the earth as they attempt  to divide the Holy City of Jerusalem!  Was this coincidence?... I think  not!

Moreover, the proclamations made during yesterday's  Jerusalem assembly were, I believe, of extreme importance from a  'Two-House' prophetic perspective; even though the majority of  participants were probably unawares of this profoundly  prophetic aspect being developed.  Nevertheless, this great mystery which the Prophets of Truth wrote about- and that  which modern-day heralds, like Angus & Batya Wooten, have  long witnessed to- is now, I believe, beginning to arise and take  shape in the hearts of manifold numbers of Christians and Messianic Jews around  the world.

Thank you, Brother Tzefanyah, for developing  this 'Chazak' group-mailing list; and for your very encouraging  emails.  Keep up the good work.  Barchu et shem YHWH!

Chazak, Chazak V'nithazek!  (Be Strong, Be Strong  and let us strengthen one another!)

Shalom Kol Yisrael,

This past Friday morning I saw a vision of a conductor leading a symphonic orchestra. The orchestra was playing the most amazing music! Abba then spoke to me and said, "Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 3:15."

Yirmeyahu 3:15 "I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who shall feed you with knowledge and understanding."

Our Conductor Y'shua, the Great Shepherd, is leading an orchestra. Within His orchestra are section leaders. These section leaders understand the musical score and look to the Conductor to lead them. They also realize that they are actually sheep themselves living a life of a sheep who is following the Great Shepherd. Through this example they are leading sheep in their sections. If they do not pay attention to the great Conductor, they will lose the rhythm and the intonation will be lost creating a discordant sound. The section leaders are the shepherds Abba is raising up in these last days who desire not to please themselves but the Master Conductor Y'shua - the Great Shepherd.

Our Great Conductor and Shepherd Plays a Flute

Zekaryah 10:3 “My wrath burns against the shepherds, and I lay a charge against the leaders. For YHWH of hosts shall visit His flock, the house of Yehudah, and make them like His splendid horse in battle. 4 “From him comes the corner-stone, from him the tent peg, from him the battle bow, from him every ruler, together. 5 “And they shall be like mighty men, who trample down the mud of the streets in the battle. And they shall fight because YHWH is with them, and the riders on horses shall be put to shame. 6 “And I shall make the house of Yehudah mighty, and save the house of Yoseph. And I shall bring them back, because I have compassion on them. And they shall be as though I had not pushed them aside. For I YHWH am their Elohim, and I answer them. 7 “And Ephrayim shall be as a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as if with wine. And their children shall see and rejoice, their heart exulting in YHWH 8 “I shall whistle for them and gather them, for I shall ransom them. And they shall increase as they once increased. 9 “Though I sow them among peoples, they shall remember Me in places far away. And they shall live, together with their children, and they shall return. 10 “And I shall bring them back from the land of Mitsrayim, and gather them from Ashshur, and bring them into the land of Gil'ad and Lebanon, until no more room is found for them. (emphasis added)

In ancient Yisrael the shepherd played the flute. This flute was used to call forth the sheep. The sound of the flute was called a "whistle". Our Great Shepherd is playing the shepherd's flute for Ephrayim. Its known that the call of the shepherd is very powerful. As sheep march forth toward the shepherd's flute, they become as mighty men. In this march to the shepherd's call, it has been known that any wolves in their midst will be trampled to death.

Yisrael is a shepherd nation. All the sons of Yisrael were shepherds. As we understand the role of the shepherd, we begin to understand our Great Shepherd Y'shua.

Y'shua as our Great Shepherd, is described beautifully in Tehillim 80: 1 Give ear, O Shepherd of Yisra’el, Who lead Yoseph like a flock; Who dwell between the kerubim, shine forth! 2 Before Ephrayim, Binyamin, and Menashsheh, Stir up Your might, And come and save us! 3 Cause us to turn back, O Elohim, And cause Your face to shine, That we might be saved! (emphasis added)

We are moving toward that crescendo called the Greater Exodus. The Exodus is a migration. A shepherd understands that he is to lead the flock in migration. If the flock is not moved, the flock will perish because of starvation. The nations are spiritually drying up. This is Abba's plan for the Great Shepherd is leading His flock to that great pasture land called Yisrael.

Shavua Tov.

Shalom Kol (All) Yisrael,

Thursday morning I got a call from Abba at 3:30am. When you say hineni (Hebrew: here I am) to the Master, He takes you seriously! I saw a picture in my dream of the Land of Yisrael reaching out as if to shake someone's hand. Then I saw the poor, the widow, and orphan all around. I saw people losing their homes across the USA. I saw other types distress throughout the USA and sensed that this same distress was manifesting itself all over the world. I was weeping for all the sons of Yisrael.

I believe Abba was disclosing a key to how the Land of Yisrael will open up to the House of Joseph (Ephraim) and how we can become connected to one another.

Let me provide you an illustration to communicate the essence of the dream. When I was in high school (Central Minnesota) I went up with my family across the Red River into North Dakota near the Northwest Minnesota area to visit my sister. While there we attended a small Lutheran church. I was totally unfamiliar with Lutherans or their customs. During the service the minister held out his hand to me and said, "Peace be with you." I must have drifted off somewhere because I did not see his hand. My dad elbowed be gently and then I saw the hand of the minister's waiting for me to take his hand and shake with the return reply, "And also with you."

This illustration is very similar to what is happening to some of Messianic Yisrael in the diaspora. We listen to many people, but we fail to listen to the pulse beat of the Land Yisrael. Are we cognizant of what our brother is doing in the Land? Are we aware of those who are reaching out to the poor, the widow and the orphan and ministering the love of Y'shua? Are we aware that there are humble servants who are toiling in that set-apart soil? Those who are citizens have the greatest need for they see their sons and daughters going off to war to protect the nation. Daily they are praying for their children's protection.

Ephraim has not been paying attention. The hand is out for the hand shake. Our minds have drifted off and Abba is nudging us to wake up. The Land cannot receive us until we reach out for the hand of Yisrael which is represented by believers in Yisrael who are laboring for all of Yisrael's restoration. If we shake the hand and feel the pulse beat of what they are saying and doing over there, I believe the Land will open itself to Joseph. They need our prayers, our support, and encouragement. And in Abba's way all of us will begin to be connected one to another from the west coast to the east coast in the USA and to all the world's continents, coastlands, and isles of the sea. The blessings of Yah emanate from Yisrael. Acts 1:8 reinterates this same sentiment, “But you shall receive power when the Set-apart Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Yerushalayim, and in all Yehuḏah and Shomeron, and to the end of the earth. (emphasis added)” It flows from Yisrael to us and back again.

Are we ready and are we prepared to take the next step to become a discernable nation?

Shavua Tov (Have a good week.)

The Standing Man, Part 1

Zeal, The Standing Man, and You
Lost Teachings of the Nazoreans, Part 1 - Rechabites

Psalms 69:9 Because zeal for Your house has eaten me up, And the reproaches of those who reproach You have fallen on me. – King David

Yirmeyahu 35:18.  But to the house of the Reëchabim, Yirmeyahu said, “Thus says the Yahweh Tviot Elohim of Yisrael: Because you have obeyed the command of Yonadav your father, and kept all his precepts, and done all that he commanded you,   19.  therefore thus says Yahweh Tviot Elohim of Yisrael: Yonadav the son of Reëchab shall never lack a man to stand before me.”

Jeremiah 35:18.  But to the house of the Rechabites Jeremiah said, "Thus says YHWH of hosts, the Elohim of Israel: Because you have obeyed the command of Jonadab your father and kept all his precepts and done all that he commanded you, 19. therefore thus says YHWH of hosts, the Elohim of Israel: Jonadab the son of Rechab shall never lack a man to stand before me."

1 Corinthians 7:17. let every one lead the life that Yahshua has assigned and Yahweh has called.

Pinchas’ Zeal – The phrase “Zeal for Yahweh” primarily took the form of violent acts against apostates whose unrighteousness in the camp of Israel brought on divine retributionZeal hails back to Pinchas (Phinehas, Numbers 25), who, in his zeal, slew the apostate Zimri and the Midianite woman Cozbi with one cast of the spear, thus staying a plague.  Israel had ignored the divine command to be set-apart, and was co-mingling with practicing pagans of forbidden camps.  For this stand-up act of zeal (the violence notwithstanding), Yahweh declared that Pinchas and his descendants would be priests of peace forever after.  Pinchas was the standing man, in that he took unpremeditated, zealous action such that Yahweh ended the plague.  That he would be rewarded by the Divine Righteousness with a priesthood of peace for what we would consider a double murder seems a great contradiction.  Yet, according to the text, the gruesome deed did bring peace, saving thousands of lives!

David’s Zeal in Prayer – When Yahshua struck down the money machine in the temple courts – when he did an act of violence – his talmidim thought of David’s Psalm 69, “Zeal for your house has consumed me.”  Psalm 69 – the rest of it has to do with the dishonor done to King David in the way his people dishonored Yahweh, especially in the House of Elohim.  As the Psalm unfolds, ever-increasing violent retribution is suggested to the Deity by the King upon the apostates.  If these unrighteous are blotted out entirely then peace will reign, the poor will be fed, the needy nurtured, and all the cities destroyed by the same recourse will be rebuilt bigger and better. (David often reckons this way in the Psalms.)  If these dishonorable apostates are violently destroyed, they will serve as a more efficacious sacrifice than any animals, and all will be improved forever.  The King is a standing man, interceding for True Israel and the righteous therein; and he is promised by the Righteous One that as long as his progeny remains zealous, some ancestor will stand before Yahweh as king - haOlam

Indeed, Yahshua, the Son of David, is “seated at the right hand of Power” when he is not the “standing man” here on earth.

But why would the talmidim think of this passage, considering that they certainly knew the whole psalm by heart, and its progression I describe above?  Yahshua was definitely the Standing Man, as is so often pointed out by Kefa (Peter) in the Kerygma Petrou.  Was Yahshua a Zealot?  Did they who walked with him know more about what was in his heart than we?

If anyone of Israel desires to repent and through my name believes in Yahweh, his sins will be forgiven him. For 12 years go into the world and preach this message so that no one may say, "We haven't heard." I have chosen the twelve because I have found them worthy to be my talmidim. I sent these, whom I was sure would be true Apostles, into the world to proclaim to all the joyous message that all may know that there is only one qeoV, and to reveal the future through those who believe in me. The end of which is that those who hear and believe might be saved; and those who do not believe may yet testify that they too have heard the message: that they might not be able to excuse themselves by saying, "We haven't heard."  -Yahshua Messiah according to Kerygma Petrou

The Maccabees’ Zeal - The Pinchas Priesthood never became official in Israel, but many claimed to be priests of that order – followers of the deeds of Pinchas – describing themselves as “zealous for Torah” even to the point of violent retribution.  It is Hanukkah season at this writing, and a good time to look again at the actions that set off the revolt in the second century B.C.

1 Maccabees 2:15. The (Seleucid) king's commissioners who Standing Stonewere enforcing the apostasy (upon the Yahudaïm) came to the town of Modein for the sacrifices. 16. Many Israelites gathered round them, but Mattithyahu and his sons drew apart. 17. The king's commissioners then addressed Mattityahu as follows, "You are a respected leader, a great man in this town; you have sons and brothers to support you. 18. Be the first to step forward and conform to the king's decree, as all the nations have done, and the leaders of Yahudah and the survivors in Yahrushalayim; you and your sons shall be reckoned among the Friends of the King, you and your sons will be honored with gold and silver and many presents."

19. Raising his voice, Mattityahu retorted,

"Even if every nation living in the king's dominions obeys him, each forsaking its ancestral religion to conform to his decrees, 20. I, my sons and my brothers will still follow the covenant of our ancestors. 21. May Heaven preserve us from forsaking the Law and its observances.  22. As for the king's orders, we will not follow them: we shall not swerve from our own religion either to right or to left."

23. As he finished speaking, a Yahudaïm came forward in the sight of all to offer sacrifice on the altar in Modein as the royal edict required. 24. When Mattityahu saw this, he was fired with zeal; stirred to the depth of his being, he gave vent to his legitimate anger, threw himself on the man and slaughtered him on the altar. 25. At the same time he killed the king's commissioner who was there to enforce the sacrifice, and tore down the altar.  26. In his zeal for the Law he acted as Pinchas had against Zimri son of Salu.  27. Then Mattityahu went through the town, shouting at the top of his voice,

"Let everyone who has any zeal for the Law and takes his stand on the covenant come out and follow me."

The Maccabees and later the Zealots of the first century A.D. saw themselves as standing men of the Pinchas Priesthood.  The Maccabean freedom was begun with a violent and unpremeditated act of zeal – the murder of pork-eaters and Hellenizers by Mattityahu at Modein.  As you recall, the “insurrectionists” banished the might of the Epiphanes, the Book of Daniel was written, and, for a time, peace, personal freedom and righteousness returned to Israel.  The cost was the standing men of Israel and most of the family called Maccabees.

Rechab of the Rechabites – Now we return to the days of Bamidbar to Rechab’s tribe; Rechab makes frequent appearances in the Scripture because there is more than one.  The Rechabites were Kenites – descendents of Cain thus outside the family of Israel – foreigners – Canaanites and pagans – worshipers of the gods of old.  However, the Kenites were more skilled than the Israelites, so King Saul brought a group of them into the family of Israel, and a group of Kenites joined with the tribe of Benjamin and became Saul’s ally.  After some intrigues, they also stood with King David.

Rechab means “a chariot with horses.” We find Rechab and his son Jonadab flying around in the Chariot of King Jehu (Yahu).  Jehu shouts to Jonadab, “Let me show you my zeal for Yahweh; come on!”  At this unexpected invitation, the Rechabites hop in Jehu’s chariot, drive a ways to the local shrine of Ba’al, and burn the “Worship Center” down.  The house of Rechab was, like Jehu, zealous for the house of Yahweh.  (Somewhere around 2 Kings 10)

Now in the days of King Jehoiakim, Jonadab son of Rechab is summoned by Jeremiah to be tested: he brings his family into the domicile section of the Temple – where everyone lived - and there all are offered bowls of wine to drink.  Evidently, Rechab the Kenite took a permanent Nazarite vow (Numbers 6) on behalf of the future generations of the family, and Yahweh was set to test whether that vow had been renewed by Jonadab and his generations.  (This may be in part because King Jehoiakim reversed the reforms of his famous father, King Josiah, and instituted pagan worship practices as before; also, the Chaldeans were on the march toward the ‘Holy’ City.)  So who could Yahweh count on to STAND BEFORE HIM ON BEHALF OF ISRAEL IN ZEAL OF RIGHTEOUSNESS?  Judah’s king would not hear the words of Yahweh’s prophet, and the King spoke for the people while the Prophet spoke for the Deity.

Righteous Examples Among the “Righteous”

Jeremiah writes: chapter 35:

5.  Then I set before the Rechabites pitchers full of wine, and cups; and I said to them, "Drink wine."  6.  But they answered, "We will drink no wine, for Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, commanded us, 'You shall not drink wine, neither you nor your sons for ever;  7. you shall not build a house; you shall not sow seed; you shall not plant or have a vineyard; but you shall live in tents all your days, that you may live many days in the land where you sojourn.'   8.  We have obeyed the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, in all that he commanded us, to drink no wine all our days, ourselves, our wives, our sons, or our daughters,  9.  and not to build houses to dwell in. We have no vineyard or field or seed; 10. but we have lived in tents, and have obeyed and done all that Jonadab our father commanded us.’”

As Yahshua put it in Luke 17:18. “Was no one found to return and give praise to El except this foreigner?"  Jonadab proved his family’s righteousness in keeping a vow to Yahweh before all these spleenless muckety-mucks in the temple domicile.  Why, these Canaanites were fulfilling the Torah while obeying their earthly father Rechab down through the generations.  Who but “these foreigners” could be trusted to uphold all true worshipers in Israel, no matter what became of them.

"Thus says the Yahweh Tviot Elohim of Israel: Because you have obeyed the command of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done all that he commanded you,  19.  Thus says the Yahweh Tviot, Elohim of Israel: “Jonadab the son of Rechab shall never lack a man to stand before me.”

Why couldn’t the leaders of the contemporaneous generation also be obedient?

A Kenite surely still stands before the Deity for the sake of the family of Rechabites, wherever they are now, who were to be zealous for the law.

(Though the deeds of some Standing Men were very violent, their victims were not innocent: prospering in the land of Yahweh and from his people through ill-gotten gains murdering and destroying the family of Jacob, taking the spoils that belonged to poor people – and polluting the righteousness of worship with their idols.   These wretches of the nations had no fear of the wrath of Yahweh; neither did they belong to the economy of Israel.  They were apostate, strangers and pagans).

Yes, there will always be an intercessor on behalf of the tribe of Rechabites, who were not Israelites by flesh, but grafted in by an anointed prophet – King Saul – and continued in obedience for generations.  How many generations?  You might be surprised whence they trace!

“The Zealous Will Hear that You’ve Come”

For we skip up 600 years to Acts 21.  James the Just and the long beards (aqz, beard, elder) of the Jerusalem Assembly spoke to SHAUL-Paul when he came to Yahweh’s Festival one afternoon to show Jewry his outstanding orthodoxy and do penance for eating with Gentiles (I suppose).

17. On our arrival in Jerusalem the brothers gave us a very warm welcome. (The writer of Acts is there, and he is a Gentile.)  18. The next day Paul went with us to visit James, and all the elders were present. 19. After greeting them, Paul gave a detailed account of all that Elohim had done among the Gentiles through his ministry.

With knowing little twinkles in their eyes, the writer has the long beards of James boasting to Paul and his bunch,

“You see, brother, how many thousands there are among the Yahudaïm of those who have believed; they are all zealous for the law (in other words, there was a chapter of the Pinchas Priesthood on hand, like a shotgun, cocked and ready), 21. and they have been told about you that you teach all the Yahudaïm who are among the Gentiles to forsake Moshe….  What then is to be done?  They (these Zealous) will certainly hear that you have come.”

Zealous was a codeword for the protective and, if need be, violent Pinchas Priesthood.  (Simon Zelotes is a name we know; and he will soon pop up in person.)  Indeed, when they found out Paul was about, the Zealous would do their level best to murder him for the same reason Pinchas had pitched the spear through Zimri and Cozbi – Paul had brought foreigners (so they thought) into the Temple, defiling it.

Acts 21:23.  Do therefore what we tell you. We have four men who are under a vow; 24. take these men and purify yourself along with them and pay their expenses, so that they may shave their heads. Thus all will know that there is nothing in what they have been told about you but that you yourself live in observance of the law.

Some scholars actually consider this an amusing set-up by James and the Long-bearded Rechabites to get rid of Paul – who was definitely NOT zealous for the Commandments – and it worked perfectly.  Thankfully Paul wasn’t murdered; but he was, after this, solid gone, never to return.

Standing Men and Women

James the Just’s religious reign as Mebakker over the Qahal haQadim (30 – 62 A.D.) was a era of constant turmoil – Roman occupation, the unexpected terrorist acts of zealots, the murderous debacles of the Herods, and standing men and women standing all over the place.  Look!

Acts 5:34 A Pharisee called Gamaliel, who was a teacher of the Law respected by the whole people, stood up and … 35. then he addressed the Sanhedrin, "Men of Israel, be careful how you deal with these people. 36. Some time ago there Theudas stood up (44 – 46 A.D.). He claimed to be someone important, and collected about four hundred followers; but when he was killed, all his followers scattered and that was the end of them.

Theudas stood up, zealous for the Law, to lead the tribes out of Palestine into Syria to set up the Kingdom in the Wilderness.  Theudas would part the Jordan River as a sign to the people following him.  But soldiers of Rome and Herod’s army were waiting for them and killed them all, crucifying and beheading.

37. And then there was Judas the Galilean, at the time of the census (6 A.D.), who attracted crowds of supporters; but he was killed too, and all his followers dispersed.

Previously, Judas the Just (Yahudah haZaddik of Gamla) stood up and started the Zealot Party, which used any means to overcome foreigners – murder, robbery, arson.  This Judah the Just is thought to be a relative of James the Just, and he came along the same year Yahshua was born.  There are scholarly books indentifying Judah the Just as the same person we call Jesus.

38. What I suggest (continues the standing Gamaliel) is that you leave these men alone and let them go. If this enterprise, this movement of theirs, is of human origin it will break up of its own accord; 39. but if it does in fact come from Elohim, you will be unable to destroy them. Take care not to find yourselves fighting against the Almighty."

Gamaliel’s decision forms the basis of much political policy today.

Then The Egyptian Yahud stood up to besiege Jerusalem with thousands to take back the Temple and the city for Yahweh.

Acts 21:37. Just as Paul was being taken into the fortress, he asked the tribune if he could have a word with him. The tribune said, "You speak Greek, then?  38. Aren't you the Egyptian who started the recent revolt and led those four thousand cut-throats out into the desert?"

The Egyptian and his army were massacred climbing Mount Zion (circa 56 A.D.).

Then John the Baptist stood up.  Then Yahshua the Messiah stood up.

Then James the Just Stood Up

These were not violent men, especially James, who was the victim of some terribly violent acts as recorded in the history books.  He was feared because of his righteousness – his lack of sinning – and his leadership of the sect of Rechabites that was growing by leaps and bounds.  It is not wrong for us to call James a Rechabite – he did not drink wine nor plant seeds nor anoint himself with oil.  He was a kneeling man before Yahweh.  It is said that his knees were like those of a camel from interceding so many hours for the sins of a nation.  Perhaps the description of his knees could be from the fact that his legs were broken by Saul of Tarsus in a much earlier meeting on the temple steps.*  If James wanted revenge on Saul / Paul, he certainly could have had it.  But James was not that way.

*(The story of Saul/Paul throwing James down the temple steps is recorded in The Preaching of Peter aka The Recognitions, Book I, Chapter LXX – here: www.apostolia.com.)

Eusebius quotes Josephus and Hegesippus in telling us that James the Just One was, in his later life, considered The Pillar upon which Jerusalem and all Israel was supported

Galatians 2:9 James and Cephas and John, who were reputed to be pillars, gave to me (Saul/Paul) and Barnabas the left foot of fellowship, so that we should go to the Gentiles.

By 62 A.D., Cephas and John were gone.  James was the only one left – the rest had been executed; so they called him the Pillar (stulon – stele – stylus) and Oblias (Obelisk) – the Standing Man!  Many of the people believed that, though the former standing men had all fallen, Jerusalem could stand as long as James remained the pillar of righteousness holding it up.

James the Just was therefore despised by the temple rulers but cherished by all manner of common and pious people.  There are all kinds of stories about James that put us in mind of Yahshua.  I wish I could tell you all of them because I do admire James – he is as close as we can get to the “historical Jesus.” James was a writer, historian and prophet – and a number of his writings have been found in the last couple generations.  AND James the Just, like Nostradamus 1500 years later, predicted his own death:

James 5:6. You have condemned, you have killed the Just One; he does not resist you.

The Crushing of the Pillar – The Falling of the City

That death came in 62 AD.  The high priest had been murdered and the new one was out of town.  The son of Caiaphas, named Ananus, saw his chance to crush the Pillar.  During the Feast of Passover, Ananus and his kin brought James the Just to the parapet of the temple.

Matthew 4:5 The devil then took him to the holy city and set him on the parapet* of the Temple. (NJB)  *Parapet – pterugion – a wing – “a low wall along the edge of a roof or balcony “ – not “pinnacle.”

There the devil commanded him to renounce Yahshua before the multitudes, incensed that James the Just should be standing up there in the first place.  The rehearsed question was,

“O Just One, Tell us where we may find the Gate of Yahshua?”

He was then to renounce his brother Yahshua before all the believers in the crowd.  I do not think that the initial intention was to throw him off, but to get him to “stand down.”  But The Just One would not cooperate.  He’d been thrown down the temple before.  So the Just One cried something like,

Matthew 26:64. “I tell you all, hereafter you will see the Son of man seated at the right hand of Power, and coming on the clouds of the sky.

65. Then the high priest tore his robes, and said, "He has uttered blasphemy. Why do we still need witnesses? You have now heard his blasphemy. 66. What is your judgment?" They answered, "He deserves death."

Then Ananus pushed the Just One down into the sky.

The Just One and the Rechabite

James the Just didn’t die immediately.  One witness said that the first to get to him was a Rechabite.  The Rechabite knelt down to James’ mouth, then shouted to the crowd, “Be quiet; all of you!  Can you not hear the Just One is praying for you?”  Of course, James was praying,

"Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do." (Luke 23:34).

It was this prayer that enraged the devil so much that Satan entered into a dry-cleaner who used “dashed his brains out with a fuller's club.”

(James was 94 according to one tradition, which means that he was born in 33 B.C. which would have made him about sixty years old at the Resurrection.)

Hegesippus tells us that the brave Rechabite that came to the fallen James was none other than his brother, Simon Zelotes, who would take his place as the Mebakker of the Assembly of Yahweh in Jerusalem.

And at this point zeal, righteousness, murder and the standing one all come together.  If Simon was a Rechabite, from the family of Rechab, then James was also a Rechabite.  Perhaps this is why the Rechabites were still a very popular sect in the first century.  What does this tell us about the possibility that the whole family of Yahshua the Messiah?  Nazarene / Nazarite; Rechabite / Standing Man; etc.

(Simon died in 105 A.D. at the age of 120, so he would have been born about 6 B.C., making him 37 at the time of the Resurrection.  Please do not write to tell me the years do not add up.)

The Lost Josephus

In a version of Josephus that is no longer in existence (but quoted by Eusebius – 4th century), it is written that such notorious, bloody riots against the priesthood, the Sanhedrin and the Sadducean establishment throughout Palestine on account of James the Just’s execution that within 3 years, Nero considered it a rebellion and send General Vespasian to quell the uprisings, culminating in the deaths of over a million Jews, the destruction of Jerusalem and burning of the temple.

Jerusalem to Pella EscapeHowever, one group of sects headquartered in Jerusalem escaped the conflagration on account of a Rechabite prophet, a standing man, who, forty years before, prophesied that when the armies surrounded, don’t fight but FLEE.  That prophecy is found in Mark 13 and the Rechabite was Yahshua Messiah.  Flee the Yahshuans did – Ebionites, Nazoreans, Elchasaites, Hosheans – to Pella east of the Jordan River – and without interference by General Titus – he allowed them get through possibly on account of the prophecy, which he certainly knew.  They sects were led on their exodus across the Jabbok and Jordan north into the mountains by none other than Simon Zelotes, Rechabite, who became the Standing Man for the body of True Believers for the next 40 years.

The Gate of Yahshua

Why all this is important now is that it gives us an unlikely gateway into a mystical place of protection for future generations.  If we are to be a priesthood of believers – a Pinchas or Melchizedek priesthood – then there will be standing men and women zealous for Yahweh and standing before him by his command.

Summing up, the Standing Men (and there were women, too, whom I failed on this occasion to mention) have, at least in a symbolic sense, knees like camels, interceding for the past, present and future for those people, places and institutions that have meaning for them in the scheme and way of Yahweh’s providence.  They become Zealous because they are fed up with the pagan practices of their cities, acquaintances churches and, most relevant to the discussion, families.  To be a Rechabite was to be a part of a close-nit community of frugal men and women, husbands and wives and children, whose lives were dedicated to changing the world by channeling their zeal into action – becoming leaders whether they are the leadership type or not – stepping quickly into situations of which they may affect the outcomes – judging situations, especially those they are close to, with RIGHTEOUS judgment rather than that which is tainted by sentiment or old habit – and exercising their binding and loosing power before Yahweh.

In doing these things, we discovery another mysterious lost custom of our ancestors in the faith – the Gateway of Yahshua – that which James died defending.  Once through the gate, we become activists for his cause because we have given up on conventional thinking about him, and have taken up the clean slate as we once again read all about him.

Stand for Whom?

In relational terms, the signs of those whom each of us might stand in for, what we should do with them, what our attitude should be about them, how we should live for them, and what our relationship to the community and the state should be – as well as our relationship with Yahweh – are rife in these scripture passages above and many hundreds more, as well as in the few history books that remain from that sacredtime.

We can’t help but think of Devrah standing up against the Assyrian armies while General Barak was quivering - “I’ll go only if you’ll go,” he said.  Avraham standing before Yahweh to entreat him to save Sodom for Lot’s sake, and Lot’s withdrawal.  Or Yahshua standing before the Elohim pleading for Jerusalem, but knowing whose was his and who wasn’t his – and that he would lose only one.

There is another passage that has a lot to say about the Standing Man in our world:

1 Cor 7: 13.  If any woman has a husband who is an unbeliever, and he consents to live with her, she should not divorce him.  14.  For the unbelieving husband is consecrated (set apart unto Yahweh) through his wife, and the unbelieving wife is consecrated through her husband. Otherwise, your children would be unclean, but as it is they are consecrated.  15.  But if the unbelieving partner desires to separate, let it be so; in such a case the brother or sister is not bound. For Elohim has called us to peace (the Priesthood of Phinehas).  16.  Wife, how do you know whether you will rescue your husband? Husband, how do you know whether you will deliver your wife?  17.  Only, let every one lead the life that Yahshua has assigned and Yahweh has called.

This kind of power is NOT for the unbelieving or the timid.  Go back to the primary class.  It is for you who find yourself to be a Nazoreans or a Rechabites in this life, zealous for the Commandments of Yahweh, changed into the New Man by the Gateway of Yahshua.  Who delivered YOU into this life?  Some Rechab or Jonadab 575 years ago through standing up for you, though he or she would never know until the resurrection!

But you are through the Doorway of Rescue, even though you have a far stranger and more precarious life in this world than the pagans next door.  You will one day thank some Rechabite – a Standing Man or Woman – when you meet, and tell him or her that it was all worthwhile when you, as James before you, boast of your clan “who have believed; they are all zealous for the law! you boast.

Note that the word in the Bible for “resurrection,” anastasis, simply means “stand up.”

Next and finally, WHO will you deliver through the Gate of Yahshua?  Certainly your children – but what about your children’s children and so on down the line.  Who will STAND now and, like James, be SEEN as the Standing Man while your world of tomorrow begins to stand forth before you?

If you have completed this first part, please email me your address and I will send you a valuable free gift.  Really!

Greetings on Yom Teruah.  Today we must divert our minds from the exciting three letters.  I have a message for you far more important than that.

Feast of Trumpets Message 2007

The Feast of Trumpets is a type of judgment – in the Old Testament, the walls of Jericho came down for a judgment.  In the New Testament, there are trumpets everywhere.  This is because keeping Trumpets in a biblical manner is a requirement for all who are in the covenant of Yahweh.

Hello, friend and family.  Please read the following letter as soon as you can.  If you have any questions or feedback, please reply.

The Feast of Trumpets this year is especially important.  It marks the 40th year, one biblical generation, since the liberation of Jerusalem in 1967.  This is what Yahweh speaks to my heart:

If a righteous person turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity (transgression of the Torah, 1 John 3:4 ), and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die; because you have not warned him, he shall die for his sin, and his righteous deeds which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require at your hand.  Ezekiel 3:20

My friends, this is why I do what I do.  I want to TROUBLE YOU with the fact of the matter because I love you and desire my conscience to be clear.

LOOK:

Yahshua Speaking:

Luke 21:24 Jerusalem will be trodden down by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.  (June 15, 1967)

29, 30.  And he told them a parable: "Watch the fig tree (Israel), and all the trees (the nations);  as soon as they come out in leaf, you see for yourselves and know that the summer is already near.

32.  Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away till all has taken place. (Speaking of the generation that witnessed the end of the Times of the Gentiles – and the event in the land he mentioned earlier.)

Yahweh Speaking:

Leviticus 23:24-5.  Yahweh told Moses,  "In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall observe a day of solemn rest, a memorial proclaimed with blast of trumpets, a holy convocation.  You shall do no laborious work…”  (Tonight at sundown begins the seventh month.)

How long are these memorial feasts to be conducted?

Leviticus 23:31 “Forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.”

But were not these feast decreed as “passed away” or “a shadow”?

Yahshua Speaking:

Matthew 5:17-20.  "Think not that I have come to abolish the Torah and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfill them.  (Fulfill them means to keep them to the nth degree.)  For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Torah until all is accomplished.  Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.  For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

Christians have relaxed the commandments of Yahweh completely out of existence.  How can they expect to stand in the Great Day (John 7:37; Jude 6; 1 Thes 4:16).  In fact, this is why this world is in lawless turmoil.  Paul calls it, the mystery of lawlessness.

Regarding such things, Paul says:

2 Thessalonians 2:11-13.  Therefore El sends upon them (that is, those who teach that the Torah is no longer valid) a strong delusion, to make them believe what is false,  so that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.  But we are bound to give thanks to Yahweh always for you, brethren beloved by the Master, because Yahweh chose you from the beginning to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth

How can one be sanctified – set apart – unless one knows and follow that which sets him/her apart.

John makes it clear what sets apart unto sanctification and salvation, and it is not the sinners’ prayer:

Revelation 12:17 and many other passages: [Those who are ultimately to be saved are] those who keep the commandments of Yahweh and bear testimony to Yahshua.

In fact, this is what John brought forth the Revelation (1:1,2):

THE REVELATION of Yahshua Messiah, which Elohim gave him to show to his servants what must soon take place; and he made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who bore witness to the Word of Yahweh and to the Witness of Yahshua the Anointed, even to all that he saw.

Friend or relative: the fall Feasts are upon us exactly one prophetic generation since the liberation of Jerusalem – when precisely 6000 years of Salvation History have passed.  We are passing into the 7th day Millennium.  If you read and believe the Word of Yahweh, then you know Yahweh’s Festivals will be reinstituted in the Millennium.  (Many prophetic passages say so, including Isaiah 56 and Zechariah 14).

If you indeed among those who will be saved in the end – who keep the Word of Yahweh and the Witness of Yahshua – shouldn’t you be modeling the Millennial Way as it is taught so plainly in scripture?  Yes you should – especially in this year and in the years to come.  Trumpets is tonight, Atonement is the 22nd and Tabernacles goes from September 27 through October 4.

Plan to learn what your Heavenly Father expects from you in this Millennial time.  In the past, he winked.  But he winks no more.  Knowledge is increased and everybody has access to all the information they need about being obedient to the Father through Internet and free books.

It’s sometimes hard to “go it alone,” but this you must do if Yahweh’s Spirit quickens the route to life in your spirit.

If you can, get your family together tonight or tomorrow.  Or just get yourself together.  If you have a shofar, that’s good.  An empty paper towel roll will do just fine. You can get a shofar for the other feasts at one of the links below.

Here is an order you may go through for home worship with links to appropriate music.

Leviticus 23:24, 25.  "Say to the people of Israel, In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall observe a day of solemn rest, a memorial proclaimed with blast of trumpets, a holy convocation.   You shall do no laborious work; and you shall present an offering by fire to Yahweh."

Here are ten reasons for the Trumpet blasts – meditate on each scripture passage:

1. The Day of Trumpets supposedly marks the beginning of Creation (Psalm 98:6).

2. Trumpets is the first of the ten the days of Yahweh’s season of repentance (Teshuvah – 10 days before the Day of Atonement).

3. Trumpets reminds us of our stand at the foot of Mount Sinai and promise of obedience (Exodus 19:19) (Exodus. 24:7).

4. Trumpets reminds us of the words of the prophets – words like the sounding of a horn (Ezekiel 33:4-5).

5. Trumpets reminds us of the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem (Jeremiah 4:19). When we hear the sound of the ram's horn, we understand that we are his rebuilt temple and we rejoice  (2 Corinthians 6:16).

6. Trumpets reminds us of the binding of Isaac who, like Yahshua, offered himself.  The sacrificial ram was caught in the thicket by the horn  (Genesis 22:13).

7. The blowing of the ram's horn causes us to fear enough so as to bend our wills to the Creator (Amos 3:6).

8. Trumpets reminds us of the great judgment and the subsequent Millennium rule (Zephaniah 1:14-16).

9. Trumpets reminds us of the gathering of the dispersed two houses of Israel, that we may passionately long for this re-gathering family reunion in the Millennial Resurrection (Isaiah 27:13).

10. Trumpets reminds us of the resurrection of the dead, that we may believe in it. (Isaiah 18:3)

I am prepared to fulfill Yahweh’s commandment to blow the shofar as it is prescribed in the Torah, ‘this shall be a day of blowing unto you.’”

You may listen to the blowing of the shofar in music appropriate to this day in two of our EloHymns (turn on your speakers):

Yom Teruah
Horn of a Unicorn
Shattered Pot

These are the words to Yom Teruah (Which means (“The Day of Wonder”).  By the third time through, you ought to be able to take your improvised trumpet and blow right along, thus fulfilling the commandment.

Yom Teruah is the Day of Awe!
The Feast of Trumpets and the Court of Law.
Sound the Shofar in the meeting hall,
sound each doleful trumpet call!
First, sound Tekiah! (one note 4 beats)
then, sound Shevarim! (three notes one beat each)
now, the Teruah! (4 eight notes, 4 sixteenth notes, 1 eighth note)
finally, a Tekiah once again. (one note 3 beats)

Last, the Tekiah, Tekiah Gedolah,
takes the longest of breaths that we may draw.
So our Messiah, Yahshua Messiah,
may hear our Gedolah and return on this Day of Awe.  (one note 16 beats)
This is the Feast of Trumpets!

"Wake up! Wake up, everyone who is asleep! Remember Elohim, your Creator! Instead of going around doing things that are not important or worthwhile, take some time to think about what you can do to make yourself into a better person. Give up doing bad things!" - Maimonides

ALL: Blessed are You, Yahweh our Elohim, Ruler of the universe, for giving us life, for sustaining us, and for enabling us to reach this season.  May Yahshua our Messiah come today and set the world aright for your names’ sake.  Amein.
