| akk.. learnlink is down ... can't upload photos. Anyway, the past 10 days was tiring... came back to HK from atl... then went to japan.. now back in HK.. took 7 flights in 10 days. hehe.
i'm back to the land of skinny ppl....all skin n bones! and apparently my whole family thinks i blew up to the size of a hippo this last semester... too much driving, too little walking... too much buford. i dunno i never noticed... and didn't care enuff about it to do anything hehe.
kinda pisses me off that the whole dinner conversation revolved around asking what i ate, how i gained weight, blahblahblah... i said i was normal sized in America... and they said well ppl are fatter over there.. do u really wanna become like that? my mom said when she was my age, she was 80 lbs and her waist was 22.. CRAZY ... ppl in asia are too damn skinny.....also so much more superficial... =( does it really make a difference -- plus or minus 5 lbs?? when i have a kid, i'm not gonna b as critical=P i'm gonna love him even if he's chubby! ^_^
too much pressure coming home... too much thinking... kinda forgot what it feels like to live at home w/parents. I miss the freedom in the US. work starts in 2 days.... sorta not looking forward to it....

mike,me,maggie,frank @ malibu grand prix
over the weekend, sum of us went down to Malibu Grand Prix...and we got kicked out by the police. I think it was one of those -u had 2 b there- moments. nevertheless... it was still hilarious. First sugong ran a red light, and then mike and frank did the same thing even tho sugong got yelled at. Stupid boys...it was one of those timed laps thing.. so u weren't meant to race side by side... but mike n frank tried to race, and mike rammed his car into franks, and his front wheel got stuck in between frank's spoiler and back wheel. Anyway, they damaged two of their cars pretty bad... and they were told they can't ride anymore. since the 2 cars were stuck in the middle of the tracks, ppl were supposed to stop until they removed the 2 cars. sugong kept going even tho this guy was waving his hands up in the air yelling "stop stop stop!"... then he got kicked out too. maggie and i wanted to race... and the ppl told us to leave the tracks....sugong accidentally took the goggles with him... and he got caught on the way to the cashier to get a refund.... the lady on the register told us to step aside, and the next thing we knew, this police dude came over and told us we were kicked outta Malibu n escorted us out... >_< we're prolly blacklisted 4ever lol... messed up their cars....not follow instructions... make them pull the emergency stop button like 3 times... LOL.. prolly thinkin "damn asians....dun ever come back again!!" | | |
| been thinking a lot... about SARS... war... love..hk... 
been going thru some pretty rough times these days. I just found out from the HK GOV list of buildings infected w/SARS that my apartment building at home is infected... my parents didnt tell me cuz they didn't want me to worry... this is actually what my mom wrote to me... it just really made me think... never in my life did i think something like this can happen. in a city like HK, ppl rarely have time to think. money and business is always first. For the first time, nothing in this city can function because of an epidemic. An epidemic that has affected ppl's daily lives.... I just read my mom's email...

"Yes, we know it's infected. The guard told us. That's the reason why we haven't been going out since last Wednesday. As a matter of fact, I didn't even go to school Monday which was supposed to be the Humanities dept. duty day.
We will stay in as long as we have enough food supply. I didn't tell you because I don't want you to worry about us. We are fine, and I didn't even allow Clemen to step out either. We don't even go out to get the mail nor to buy the newspaper. We try to be as cautious as possible. We clean our apartments as thoroughly as possible with bleach.
Once the government put out the list, all the family members of the contracted AP (Atypical Pneumonia) are forced to stay inside the house. Medical staff will monitor them everyday. They will keep a close eye on that particular unit for ten days. If there's no more family members who fall sick because of AP, they will take that Block out of the list. I am keeping an eye on the list. I guess we have to wait till the 20th or the 21st before we could see whether we are cleared or not.
I don't think we can do anything now. It's out to more local communities. We will be very careful: putting on mask when we go out, avoid crowded areas such as restaurants, cinemas and public transportation; wash our hands more often and be very careful about personal hygiene.

what has happend to HK? MY HOME... it's just so sad that it's like a dead city right now. everything I picture in hk is no longer reality 4 the ppl there anymore...I want sooo bad to go back to HK right now and just be with my parents... Family is for life. lately i realized that everything around can slip out of ur life... friends will come and go, money will come and go, boyfriends and relationships will come and go... but ur family is forever... and there is nothing i want more than to be there with them during this hard time....=(

i am SOOOOO SOOO SOOOO stupid. Guess what happened! I stepped on a toothpick vertically today... it started bleeding...and the very tip broke off. It's been many hours now... and it still hurts like HELLL ... cannot walk... been hobbling and limping around.... ahhh!! Tomorrow i'm either going to emory clinic or the hospital to get it out... and taken care of.... i don't even know what to say to them??? it sounds sooo stupid!!!!!!!! right????????? It's like something that u hear about and u laugh.. but u don't ever think it can happen cuz the possibility is so small!!!...
go ahead.. laugh at me ppl=) !!!!!!! ^______^
