  • There is this one issue that's been on my mind a lot lately and I wanted to see what others thought so I'm posting it here. The problem:

When you think about it, Judism and plently of other religions are not just that. They are a way of life. I think that even though so many people claim they are Christian, making the number of Christians in the world higher, that one of the best ways to witness to someone and to be the best Christians we can be, we need to make Christianity a lifestyle too. But how?

We must center around our religion. I know how hard it is. Trying not to sin, trying not to fall asleep during the sermon, pushing myself to go to church even if I don't feel like it. We can't be perfect. We never will be, but if we just strive as hard as we can to be like Jesus-- to be perfect, can you image how much better off this world would be? I think one of the simplist ways to do that is to think 'What Would Jesus Do?' in every situation. Jesus would never cuss, hit someone, or even gossip. And it isn't just sin. We can show Jesus through the books we read and the music we listen to, even if we aren't sinning.

It is enough for some people to just to have accepted Christ, but not care about how we act. That is 'enough' for all of us. But that's another problem. Non-Christians don't know that that is all you have to do, and if you really do accept Christ that your life will change regardless. I think (but I know others don't so tell me what you do, just don't hurt me. These are my thoughts, not some fact) that if you try to act the best we can, that more people will be watching us. They will wonder why it is that we see the best in everyone, or don't cuss. And when they ask, that is the chance that I long for, I don't know if you do or not. The chance to explain. To yell at the top of my lungs that Jesus is Lord! Just believe that He is the son of God that was sent down to save us from sin! He will come back for those who believe! WE HAVE BEEN SAVED! Your life will change forever, but it's the most amazing thing!

I call it, 'The GREAT Opportunity', 'The Chance of a LIFETIME', and all we have to do is make Christianity and our faith, a lifestyle.

Please tell me what you think. I love discussions. I think that being a witness is one of the most important people you can be. Personally, I strive for that.

    It's a feeling of elation!

    Hugs and Prayers,

    Kelsey

    A verse for thought:

"In everything set [the young men] an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you will be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us." - Titus 2:7-8

Haha! Oh so 90's! I love it! Bible study tonight was really awesome. We learned about the whole Roman Road thing. If you want to know about it just let me know. I might post it here anyways though.

I had a great tennis lesson today too. I'm so glad I'm playing again. I have drills tomorrow and Thursday and next week those same times and then another lesson. Wahoo!

I've missed so much church and youth lately or at least it feels like it. I hate it. Since I'm going on a misson trip with another church I am supposed to go to their youth but I really don't want to because I love mine so much. I love the people and the message. We just seem so much more serious and wanting to learn than the other church. I am so proud of us. In bible study, Mark wants us to memorize a verse a week. I'll be putting those up here too. I love my bible. I take it like everywhere. I can't do without it.

School and everything that goes along with it is getting a little hectic right now. Please just pray for me. I also ask that you pray for my brother because he is making some poor choices right now and he isn't listening to us tell him.

We have our orchestra trip this coming weekend! Yay! I'm so excited! Fiesta Texas here we come!

I'm supposed to be working on my major 416 point Civil War project that counts for two classes right now. I should go. Please pray that that goes well to.

    God Bless everyone,

    Kelsey

    1 Timothy 4:12

"Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young but set an example for the believes in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity."

Just think about it. Do you really want to dishonor God's temple by not acting out what you believe? It's a big thing to struggle with. If anyone knows, I do. Try.

  • Hola! I guess I'll post again... I'm getting ready for church so this will be short. The FISH dance on Friday was okay. I had tons of fun seeing all my friends. Which is like the people at church! They could've played some better music though. Like Toby Mac or something... I went to my first seder dinner last night. It was really awesome. I learned bunches about Judism. I feel like you need to learn about other religions to understand the importance and validity of your own. You know what I mean? Alrighty... I'm going to be late for church at this rate.

    God Bless

    Kelsey
