our new home??

doesn't it look cozy? with lots of front yard for Steve to play in....

just kidding :) this is actually the Hwang's home in Wheaton! (and that's their Desert Sand Mica minivan)

Steve: "Oh shoot, College Church! I need a picture in front of this..."

crazy building for a church, isn't it?

we did the Asian stop-and-shoot for these pictures... Jackie and the kids were sitting in the minivan parked on the street while we ran over, took pictures, and ran back to the car.

Jerry's library

Jacob & Josie!

at the Billy Graham Center Museum, there was this sign with Steve's favorite gesture on it.. it was an illustration of the preacher Sam Jones' "Attitudes and Gestures"

Jacob's smiles

Josie's eating poses

and last but not least, the parents! (notice, Jerry's smile and Jackie's eating pose...)

close call
steve and i got a call today from my dad---"felix is in an ambulance on the way to the emergency room..."

i was so scared thinking that he got in a car accident while with his driving instructor. turns out it wasn't that.

he was spray painting something today and i guess the fumes really got to him, because he came back in the house, passed out and hit the pillar that's in our kitchen. thank God my mom was home, because he got a pretty deep cut from the angle that he hit the pillar, especially with glasses on---from the top of his eyebrow to juuuuust above his eyelid. scary. stitches on the outside AND on the inside. *goosebumps*

the glasses didn't survive (frame cracked, lens completely sliced in half), but i am so glad felix is okay.

**************
this week has been full of reminders about how valuable life is, and how much more so our souls are valuable to a God who is majestic yet compassionate. in addition to felix's injury (pray for speedy recovery!), perhaps you could pray with me for:

- coworker who had a miscarriage and is taking it pretty hard. she's not a believer, but i was able to share psalm 46 with her. please pray for her salvation.

- friend passed away after dealing with 8 yrs of cancer.. she was only 22, but her life was so reflective of her name, "Glory", giving glory to our Father... pray for her family as she was an only child, that they would continue to rely on our Almighty God for comfort and strength. (her story)
