Credits through out the scene.
The man wakes up the next morning and throws on a t-shirt and jeans on. In fact, most of his clothes are piled up on the floor. It's been weeks since he last cleaned them so they appear a bit wrinkled. Nevertheless, he isn't bothered by his appearance. He walks out of the door and to his car.
He gets in and drives off.
Music plays while there is a drive scene down a city.
He stops on the side of the road. A few complexes are nearby. He gets out of the car and shuts the door.
The man knocks on the door and stares around at the scenery. He's taken back by his surroundings. It seems to intrigue his mind.Another man appears at the door. His appearance is significantly better than the other man. He looks somewhat surprised and pleased, with a wide grin on his face.
David: Somehow, I knew you'd come.
Man:
Scoffs Whatever man, you know me too well.
David: Yeah, considering you never answer text messages anymore. What's with you these days? Come in!
Man: Nothing really...
David: You always say that too, you make it seem like you're living the worst life anyone has ever lived.
The man stands there awkwardly and looks down.
David: You're not still thinking about it are you?
Again. No reply. David: Seriously...
Trying to break the tension Well, you got the text message, right? I'm transferring to Japan. So, that means I'm moving. That's why I needed your help.
Man: You're so lazy. As accomplished as you are, you're the last person I expect that would need help moving... boxes.
David: It's not lazy, it's occupied.
Man: Whatever you say...
At this point, a woman comes out of the door. Just waking up, she comes in with just a camisole and panties. Not aware of her surroundings, she walks right past them and gets something from the fridge. She looks around and finally wakes up. She's taken back for a second and runs back into the room. The woman reappears in PJs and a long sleeve shirt, obviously embarrassed by the situation. She begins to resume preparing breakfast.
Jackie: Honey, at least you could tell me when you're going to bring guests over...
David: I did. You were just too busy being-
Jackie: Shut up, don't about things like that in front of guests.
David snickers while the man looks elsewhere. So, who is he? I've never met him.
David: Him? He's an old high school friend. Trace, this is my fiancee, Jacklyn.
Trace finally looks back and gives a polite smile.
Trace: Trace Bryans, nice to meet you.
Jackie: Jackie, the pleasure's mine.
Trace: Hey, I'm gonna go head outside for a moment. Okay?
David:
He looks somewhat disappointed Sure.
Jackie looks somewhat confused by the situation
Trace heads out of the complex and leaves the couple behind.Jackie: What just happened?
David: Nothing, this area brings him back a little. Just give him some time.
Trace stands outside the complex, choking up.
