| I was talking with my good friend Danielle about something, and in the end, this was brought up: "the truth comes out....Lynne...is a girl!", as well as "wow, you're such a girl! didn't know you had it in you, lol" I even admitted to her that deep down, I even like chick flicks. Hell, I even own a few, myself: I'm just so surprised that all of you people who know me can't see past my façade. Yes, at one point, I dressed like a metalhead; chains, spikes, the whole works. And the worst part is, I don't think any of my friends (even my best friends) could even fathom why I was dressing that way. I won't even go into that today. Why Lynne dressed like a metalhead, and fell in love with the music. That can be saved for another day. Today, I shall focus on the surprising look of my room. I've had a few friends come over, and be surprised by what they see in my room, especially my token 'girly-girl' friend, Sarah M. My room appears to be a less girly version of her room. My room has always been like that. Yes, the bulletin board goes through changes with the changes in my musical tastes (which is quite often) but those trinkets (be they the dolphins of today, or the unicorns of a few years ago) are still hanging around the room. My bed is covered in stuffed toys. I am girly. It's my biggest, darkest secret. So here is a taste of what my room looks like these days: Dolphins. They are the smallest cetaceans in the ocean. Lynne! Is that a plant?! Why, yes...yes it is! I like to collect things. My smallest collection is my collection of roses. So far I have two dried roses, and one that is currently drying. I have a jewellery box! And it has jewellery in it! Not to mention I have a unicorn picture on my wall above it. How is that NOT girly? Going through my closet, you'll notice I have shoes! Lots of 'em! Especially ones I never wear, but love. I also collect My Little Ponies. What type of tomboy would collect toy horses? So, after running out of girly things in my room, I ventured to the spare bedroom in the basement. It contains my old bed. Which happens to have a bunch of my old pillows on it. Also, my old pictures hang on the walls down there, so Kurt has a place to live in my own room. As well, my stuffed toys live down there. This is only a small portion of my vast collection.
So basically, I guess what I'm saying is, Danielle....I am just like any other girl. :P Well, not quite. I still think Kurt Cobain was a sex god, and love watching Bob Hallett play that accordion and fiddle. Those things are uniquely me I guess. As well as my large collection of CDs ranging from Savage Garden, (can we say GIRLY?) to Rammstein, to The Bacon Brothers. Of course, the CDs just represent how I have changed throughout the years. And seriously, Danielle. The first time you saw me I was, indeed, wearing spikes, and had my hair dyed black, but by the time I saw you in Gananoque my hair had been chopped off in a 'sassy' hairdo (to quote some people) and dyed blonde, and I even wore a skirt and a tiara! Did you not see it coming that day? Lol!
Anyways, that's my post for the day. Just thought I'd clear things up for Danielle. :)

Look, I ain't figuring out how to fix the pictures....so blah.
| Tonight I went to see Green Day. I was fully expecting a disappointment. Nothing can beat Great Big Sea in the concert department, in my opinion, but I had really wanted to go to a real concert. You know? One of those huge concerts, with thousands upon thousands of people cheering for the band. I also knew my favourite hired instrumentalist, Jason Freese occasionally did concerts for Green Day.
First thing’s first. Melissa and I had ourselves a Stick Bob. We took his picture at various places in Ottawa and Kanata, and we had supper at Pizza Pizza. It took probably an hour to get into the Corel Centre, there were that many people. We missed most of Jimmy Eat World’s set, and waited for about half an hour for Green Day to come on. Let me stress that I am not a fan of Green Day. I just love how much they hate Bush.
When they finally came on, they did their latest hit, then went into a second song. It was around this time that I noticed a piano on the stage. I sort of laughed to myself, then stopped short. Jason. Freese. Plays. Piano. But I still highly doubted he would be there, as the Goo Goo Dolls are in studio at the moment, and he also plays for them. After a few songs, suddenly a man in a red shirt was at the piano. I saw his hat. It was Jason. I poked Melissa, pointed, and screamed “JASON!” although I wasn’t 100 percent accurate that it was. But who else wear’s a weird hat? Only Jason Freese (whose brother Josh Freese is the more famous). I spazzed, he got a piano solo, but I still wasn’t sure. Yeah, he was wearing one of the hats I’ve seen before….but it wasn’t his regular trucker hat (I have one, btw).
About halfway through the concert, Billie Joe finally introduced all the people on stage. He introduced a guitarist (name is Jason) a man who plays trumpet…and then….he made me go wild. He pointed to the man in the red shirt, and funny hat (will show picture of said hat I am referring to) and said “And this man here is on the saxophone,” (I became more sure, at this point that it was Jason) “the trombone,” (Sarah never told me this, so I began to doubt myself again), “the piano, the telephone, and,” here he pauses and motions for the man to come forward, “and on many, many, many pornographic websites…” at this point he forces him to play a saxophone solo, which nearly renders me unconscious, and Billie Joe resumes, “Jason Freese!” I went completely nuts.
I got to see Jason perform a piano solo, more than one sax solo, a trombone solo…and the part that had me addicted to him in the first place….his accordion. Now don’t get me wrong, Bob Hallett is my all time favourite accordionist, but Jason Freese played accordion not only for Green Day but for the Goo Goo Dolls as well. Yes, that’s right, he’s in TWO amazingly popular bands.
Melissa swooned over Billie Joe playing his harmonica, but you know, I only noticed Jason. He, at first, was wearing that bowler hat…later he came out with his trombone wearing a Viking hat with horns on it (I told Melissa I want one for Christmas). And for his finale, he wore one of his trucker hats. *swoons* So there you have it folks, it takes three hats to finish a Green Day concert. That man has class, and talent. Me luffs him very much. (Not to mention, I’m apparently married to him in a role play with my friend Sarah)
Anyways, I really enjoyed this concertly, mostly because I got to be in the same room as Jason. He was far, far away, but he was there. He was running all over the stage when he was playing his trombone, and he strutted his stuff much like Bob when playing his accordion. All in all, I had one of the best concert experiences in my life.
Thanks to anyone who actually reads this.

| Last night I had a horrible dream! I swear! I wonder what it could mean?My nightmare:
I dreamt I was near Niagara Falls, and there was a huuuuge tornado coming, and i was in this huge building, and I told someone, and then everyone ran outside onto the balconies, waiting to jump if it came close. Then I realized how to save the building...but I needed Courtney Love's help. She just happened to have her office in that building, but walking down the hall I saw colin and ran away before he saw me... Then I was in a church and people were praying for the tornado to go away. This is where I found Courtney, and it turns out we had a lot in common. We went about saving the building (which includes pulling some walls down) and it looked like the tornado was about to disapear, but then it came back, and people were screaming and jumping into the water (we're near Niagara Falls, remember) and then I woke up.
| Well, Ang, I hope you're happy, because now I have a freaking Xanga. | | |
