Pondering Life

I am just sitting in the office on duty and I decided to go and look at the Taize website where I found a the funeral of Brother Roger recorded and I decided to play it. Just sitting here listening to it has caused me to look back on my life since Taize and I have realized that I am not very happy with what has happened. My life was changed in Taize well I thought it was. Nothing in my life has really changed. I have had this amazing experience but what have I done to thank God. NOTHING. I told myself I would have atleast 15 minutes of silence once a week upon my return but that didnt happen. Now I am sitting here listening to the songs of taize and the words from Brother Roger's funeral and I am now realizing just how much of an impact Taize has had on my life.

The anniversary of Brother Roger's death was about a month ago. Everyone sent out emails reminding us to pray that day but I was too busy. I am always too busy. So now I am taking time to sit in silence and listen to the pray from his funeral and remember the place that he created so that my life and millions of others lives could be changed.

Lord, bless all the Brothers of Taize and all those who have traveled to Taize and had that unique experience. Also spread the word and prayer of Taize throughout the world so many more may experience the legacy that Brother Roger has created in Taize.
