I bought the world's stickiest band-aids yesterday. I think some of my flesh came off with the one I removed from my hand today. I was worried it would come off when I got it wet... my real concern should have been if it would come off EVER!

have you ever had your mind play tug-o-war without your concent? mine has been doing that all summer and man, it's wearing me out. I need a break, but I don't really know from what. I had two friends when I was in 1st grade that would physically play tug-o-war with ME. they would pull my arms in different directions, wanting me to go separate ways... either the slide or to the merry-go-round. such a big decision at the time. if only I would've known what life would be like as a 'grown-up'. I liked those kinds of decisions better.

funny story of the day: soooooo, I want to teach and coach, right? a guy called me today and said they had an opening for both of those and was I interested? "what would I teach", I asked. "chemistry", the guy says. ok, "what would I be coaching?", I say. "swimming", says the man.

what??? the two things I would be least likely to pick on my own. what a deal...

I've started going on walks lately. andy is old enough to like walks now, so we stroll through the neighborhood every now and then. today I noticed that there was someone playing the drums close by my house so we tried to find where it was coming from. as I got closer, I noticed that it was a whole band and that they were considerably decent. so andy and I walked in the vicinity while they were practicing and had live music to accompany our walk. it was nice.

I'm really tired of this junk filling up my inbox, message boards, & text messages(?) it amazes me what people take seriously and thence feel the need to pass on to someone else. I am honestly baffled.

it's been a long day

somehow I ended up getting on another slow-pitch team this year. we had our first game on tuesday and I still can't move a single muscle in my body without it hurting. I love every second I get to play that game, even if it's with a bunch of crazy folks and makes me hurt :)

we had our first "kids day out" at church today. it drained the life out of me, but was fun none the less.

I MIGHT have a job. IF, that is, I pass my science certification test next weekend. no pressure... it's also on the same day as the church golf tournament AND the day we leave for camp, oh goodness!

I MIGHT have a new puppy tomorrow. IF, that is, my mom and I are first in line at the rescue shelter tomorrow morning. I'll update with results. oh I hope I get him. he's so cute. (for those of you who knew oscar the devil puppy, he is NOT like him. and that is a good thing) :)
