| Somewhere between life and college apps, I fell very much away from Xanga. Yep.
Facebook ftw, much?
That's what I thought. Yay Facebook.
So nervous about college. So so so so--
--whoo, insomnia. -swoons-

I see, I find, I make sure.
I stare, I'm fascinated, I'm satisfied, but
I look up, I see, I compare.
I despise, I stray, I'm abandoned.
We're connected at each and every place so
when I think this word, you'll already know.
Oh, by the time we sleep deeply,
how many precious words will we have exchanged?
That bit of lyrical beauty over...I don't know. I'm walking into an
irreversible future. I might not even reach it before next year. I'm
full of confusion and resentment and grumpiness and self-righteous
teenage raaaaage [/harry potter] but somehow, I'm regarding my
impending implosion with calm and a grain of salt.
...no, I'm not sure what that was, either. Aaanyhow.

| And now, the actual entry!~
...Actually, no. Everything perninent has already been rambled out on
my LJ, meaning life, liberty, school-college-theatre. But if you want
to catch up, e-mail meh at -artemis dot winter at gmail dot com- (what?
I fear spambots.) and I'll send you my cell number.
...
Seriously, I haven't talked voice-to-voice with some of you since--
well; Miramar kids, 1.5 years. Non-Floridian kids, 5 years and
counting. What I find almost absurdly entertaining is how everyone's
voices have changed but in the most fundamental way, we all look the
same as we did in elementary/middle school. Gaaack.

| Because while glaring at the college application on my desk (funny that
the ones that sent me applications are...the ones I've gotten awards
from?) and lamenting my utter suckage at life (in the sense that life
equals credentials pre-college. I win and am queen of everything else)
while listening to the utterly gorgeous "pearl : the best collection"
album by the lovely and flabbergasting closet geek Kokia, all I can
offer is these words to ponder:
And lo, they came upon life, and decided that opposable thumbs were
merit enough to create an economy, an educational system, and an actual
way of living determined to thoroughly defeat the purpose of nature.
-facepalm-
