| kramer's (my english teacher) suspension is the best thing ever; we have this awesome sub, i do not remember how it came up but we spent most of last period talking about being anarchists (he is more of a commie), he is a former theater teacher and is currently writing a musical about eugine v debbs that he plans to take across the country, he wants to energise people about radical unions. oh man, i was in heaven. we talked about palestine and globilazation and about how the bad kids in my class will end up in baghdad soon. it's neat that he wants to take art and use it to create change, sort of like what i want to do. i told him i want to be a war photographer and he said that then there will have to be war for me to have a job. i think maybe i am just as fucked up as old vets that romanticize the military, i have the same sick fasination with it, only i fucking hate it. who was it that said that war is the biggest adrenaline rush? i think it's like that, but i hope that it is not. maybe i am more like mary ellen mark or the woman who did born into brothels. |

| 'The evolution of the bicycle had less tangible effects as well, extending early to areas as diverse as fashion and politics. In the 1890s the cycling craze led to a new set of fashions, including bloomers, which helped liberate women from corsets and other restrictive clothing. The diamond-frame safety bicycle gave women unprecedented mobility, contributing to their emancipation in Western nations.'
