Thanks to all of you who prayed for me! I got the job! My first day will be next Monday for training.

Sunday, May 06, 2007

Hello all! I have a prayer request. I got an interview for Sear's Hardware on Monday at 11:00. I really need a second job this summer so I won't have to work while I'm in school, so I'd really appreciate your prayers that all goes well! Thanks!

Oh, also, I have facebook now, so if any of you would like to add me that would be awesome!

Have you ever noticed that whenever you put something "Somewhere where I won't forget" it's a sure sign that you won't be able to find it? *sigh*

And now I, too, have joined the list of the thousands with crappy driver's license pictures.  Yeah, I got my license! Woohoo!!!  Let's see.... nothing too interesting has happened in my life lately... Mostly been working and getting ready for graduation. I'm doing two graduation ceremonies, one on May 17 and another on June 2. I'll be so glad to be graduated! And then comes college *jaws theme music plays in background* Lol. Okay, it probably won't be that bad. But I'm a bit nervous anyway.

Hmmm... other interesing things.... Prom is in less than two weeks! Can't wait for that! I've got my dress and everything, I just need to make some jewelry to go with it and find something for my hair.

Unfortunatley the library just started opening on Sundays, so I have to work 1-5 every Sunday.... Quite annoying. It was crazy last week, the other two people working the front desk were both new, so I was unofficially in charge of the patron service's department... Lol... Me telling two ladies who were old enough to be my mom and grandma what to do... it was interesting to say the least! Tomorrow should be easier, though, there's another experience coworker that will be there too. It will probably be boring, though, it was kind of slow last Sunday. Some of you all should drop in and visit me there some Sunday! Lol.

*Yawn* I'm getting rather tired, so I should probably be wrapping this up. I'll talk to you all later! ~Amber

I decided to get a beanbag yesterday. One of the sort where you fill it yourself. The package made it sound so easy... well... pictures just say some things better than words.... I had no idea how affectionate styrofoam beans are.

The filling process ^

The beans were literally stuck to us! They were clinging to everything!

The Aftermath Lol! It took forever to clean it up, Dad finally figured out that spraying water on the beans would counter the static so we could scoop them into a bag.

And the moral of the story: Never underestimate the power of a small piece of styrofoam... or try to fill a beanbag indoors!
