I moved into Hope tonight. I wasn't sure if i'd be able to fit all of my stuff (I have more than I thought possible).
But it worked and our room is wonderful.  I love it.  I am so excited for next semester.

...Saturday, in the park...

So it is Saturday and I just woke up.  I love saturdays.  I don't have to think about anything for one day. Saturday brunch opens in 2 minutes and I'm desperately hoping that they will have breakfast burrito's.  They are amazing, no, legendary.  I have only had one this semester but it has kept me on my toes.  Every time I go to breakfast i'm on the lookout.  And every time since that beautiful day in September I have been disappointed.  Maybe today is the day.

Merry Christmas to All!

I registered for classes today and it was wonderful!  I love planning things and looking forward to new beginnings, it makes me feel all happy inside.  (speaking of happy...I am going home in 16 days!) I found out that I have a lot more school done than I thought and I will definately be graduating in spring 2008. What a relief.

My goldfish is turning brown.  It started at the tips of his fins and now its starting to go down his tail.  I'm a little worried because it looks like he's rotting away.  Is it possible for goldfish to rot? I was surprised that this little guy made it through thanksgiving, I was sure mr. president would want a little thanksgiving dinner too.  oh well.  I think I might name him.  I was hesitant to name him because it will make me more attatched and he was supposed to be turtle food.  but he's lived safely in there with mr. president for 3 weeks so I think they must be friends.  I am moving out of Sigma in a couple weeks and moving into Hope with my friend Bernadette.  She has a turtle too so mr.president will have a roomate!  I think he'll like that.

Thanksgving was wonderful, but I am pretty sure the best part is that you can start celebrating Christmas after.  I love Christmas.  My roomate brought a baby christmas tree from home and it is beautiful and smells wonderful.  I am working on covering our door with  tacky but beautiful paper snow flakes. I love them.  I love Christmas.  I love my family.  I love the fact that I am going home two weeks from tomorrow.  I am super ready to go home.  I've started making a list of all the things I want to do over break ( I like making lists). I can't wait to be free!

Farewell to Nickel Creek

On the Nickel Creek website there is a message posted saying that the band is taking a break of indefinate length to pursue other interests.  I guess I thought they would last forever, that they would be an eternal spring of joy and inspiration.  And now they are gone.  Yesterday they had a show in minneapolis, most likely the last show they ever play there.  It's heartbreaking.

P.S.

I got a baby turtle!!! and from what I hear these ones are supposed to stay babies forever! he's a little bigger than the size of a quarter and his name is mr.president.  my friend bernadette has one too and we're going to have turtle races and turtle fights (tickets for the events will be avialable soon). I hear turtles get along well with fish too so I might have to see if he and mr. darcy are compatable because than they can be best friends!

and this is my adorable niece that I miss terribly.

And I should be studying right now.
