I learnt something from a book I found yesterday. For someone to be truly happy, love is the only answer. I don't know about that, but true love is hard to find. Especially at this age. When people ask me why I was dating Ryu all I could say was that it was because we loved each other, but was that really true? I don't know if I really did, in fact.
(AHHHH I DON'T KNOW WHY AM I TYPING THIS IN THE FIRST PLACE!)
So anyway. I guess teenagers date now just to feel loved, and to also love others. We want to feel wanted and loved by someone (apart from relatives) and our hormones start working overtime. It's very unlikely that we'll marry the people we date during our teenage years, and perhaps another reason why we're dating young is because we're trying to look for a distraction from our work?
I think our parents love us like a lot, if not they wouldn't be scolding, caning, chiding, us all the time. What they're doing is actually for our own good! and they don't really mean any harm. Did it ever occur to you that they're like so lenient to you on some occasions? I guess that's when they know that in that situation, we'll only learn what they're protecting us from the hard way. But I can gurantee that our parents are restricting us as they know what it's like in the real world, and they don't want us to be hurt in the process of exploring it. There's a reason why parents don't let their daughters (and sons) out late at night, and it's not just because they want to limit our fun, but also to protect us from the danger lurking in the dark night. Our parents want us to be happy, and safe, that's for sure. So you shouldn't hate your parents for restricting you, bottom line is, they love you like a lot!

When you say "I love him/her lots!" (as in regarding to your girl/boyfriend), do you really mean that you love him/her? Love meaning willing to do anything, even dying for him/her? Most people'll probably say yes but when it comes to the real thing, I don't think their love's THAT strong for the person. After all, we're only 13-19, just mere teenagers. I guess true love can exist, even in teens like us. Who's to say it doesn't? It most likely is infatuation, what we're experiencing right now.
(the following may sound corny. but I must say it.)
When I say "I love you" to my friends, I really mean it. I really love my friends, each and every one of them. And I'm thankful that there are people in the world who are there for me, through good times and bad. Friends are really important to us and they're the ones who really see your true colours. I'd never ditch/lie to/betray my best and close friends for some guy that I'm "in love with".

After going around in circles, I have come to this conclusion:
The world may need more love, but that doesn't mean that the "love" we (teenagers) are experiencing is love. After all, it may just be infatuation.
