  • Life has been busy.  We had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  An assortment of family and friends gathered and we enjoyed a very relaxed Holiday.  We have so much to be thankful to God for in our lives.

Big praises, Dennis started his new job yesterday after 3 months of waiting to finish giving notice at his last place of employment.  So far he likes what he will be doing.  I want to shout praises to God for this new job.  It been a long process of change.  He went on the initial interview 1 year ago.  He will have weekends off.  So exciting!
    God's timing is perfect.  .

With Dennis working regular hours I am going to try to volunteer at my church office a couple of days a week.  I'm looking forward to using my organization gifts for God.  Looking forward to seeing how this new chapter of my life will work itself out.

I don't know how much time I'll have for xanga.  That being said, I've enjoyed my time chatting with you all.  I'm in a new season of my life and I want to encourage you to "draw close to God".  blessings  Lisa

  • SISTER'S WEEKEND

What a great weekend.  This year our yearly sister's weekend was later in the fall than usual.  What perfect weather.  We had a wonderful time.  I haven't laughed that hard in a very long time.  We had a "FRUSTRATION" card game tournament.  They surprised me with a "Red Hat" surprise party for my 50th birthday.  I fell asleep and when I awoke they had a party set up.  Balloon, streamer, yo yo's and all.  Jackie even had the nerve to take a picture of me sleeping with the "over the hill" sign draped over me.  too funny.  I felt very loved.
I'll post pictures later.  Off to choir

  • I;m so excited.  My computer has been running very slowly and therefore it is a pain to work on.  Today we took it to the Geek at Circuty City and it's working so much better.  He also fixed it so I could us the OUTLOOK program on my computer for e-mail.  Now when I send bulk e-mails for Church it doesn't bounce back.  Too cool.
I want my own personal Geek to save me from all the things I don't know.  Maybe I should spend the time and really learn what OUTLOOK can do.  Sounds like work.

Our webpage is almost done.  I needed another Geek from Church to actually get it on the web.  Check it out.  www.fbcbabylon.org/new_site

Let me know what you think.
    That's all for now.  lala

  • APPLE FESTIVAL

What a wonderful time was had by all.  I so enjoyed the day.  Carol the lady who decorated did an awesome job.  She found these adorable table center pieces and bought all the apples My sister Jackie did a great job on sharing her testimony.  We were encouraged in the Lord.
Other than that, I've been weary this week.  Trying to regain my strength.  (This means staying home and taking naps)  This doesn't mean that I do nothing.  I still was able to cook 4 lasagna's, 6 apple crisps, 2 apple pies, and 1 enchilada from my wheelchair.  Not bad.  My motto is do what you can and don't sweat what you can't.
