So...

I guess I am updating since Esther is in Nicaragua and wants to know something that is going on in my life.  Well, my senior year is over now... and it was amazing.  Very VERY busy and full of fun and activities, which I really enjoy.  But, this summer I have taken some time to just relax and enjoy life-- to destress before I head off to college.

It has been an amazing summer.  I have worked alot and took a class at TCC.  But, mainly it has been such a great time with God.  I didn't get to go to camp, and for that I am somewhat thankful... I don't want my relationship with Him to be based on emotional highs every once in a while.  But, this has been a day to day walk into deeper intimacy with Him.  ANd, its amazing.  :)

Also, fun times have occured.  :)  We are still working on the list of things to check off for the summer.  BUt, last night, due to some circumstances.... I can say that I ran from the COPS!! ANd, I succeeded!  It really wasn't a big deal but if you want to know the story... I will tell you.

Well, life is good.  I will be heading off to the University of Oklahoma in the fall.  I am SO excited, but am really going to miss everyone here.  It is going to be challenging, but I am ready.

I love you all dearly!

so i guess I will update...

its been a good week for TAKS.  no school!  excepts some AP reviews and some choir classes thrown in there.  Next week is Birdville at the Bass and SOUTH PADRE!!   so exciting.

tomorrow is prom.  pictures to follow.

"My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
But as for me, it is good to be near God,  I have made the Sovereign LORD my refuge;  I will tell of your deeds."
Psalms 73: 26, 28

Just have to remember that HE is the one who has it all under control.  How comforting to know that.

Lauren

so...

i've come to a realization.  Those of you people who hang out with our group alot know that things are becoming... whats the word?... mundane.

we all just sit around and talk and ask what are we going to do.  And, I love you all very much.  I think you are the most amazing people.  Numan and I were talking on the way home and we think our group just needs to take a break from each other.  Not that we can't do something on friday night or anything, but just a break from doing something EVERY SINGLE NIGHT.

And, then I go and talk to my mom about it.  And she was like Lauren, that is so right.  You are never home to help you dad and I and your attitude is changing.

I am coming to understand what she is saying.  I am not home alot.  I need to spend more time with my family and do things they need me to do because at this rate I am not getting anything done.

So what I am trying to say is that I think I am going to take a break for a while.  I just think it will be best for me right now so I can get my priorities in order and do the things I need to.  I am not against going and getting a coke after school for like 30 minutes or something... so don't be afraid to ask.

I am basically just rambling but what I am saying is that I am going to try harder to keep my priorities in line and that may include not hanging out as much... at least for a couple of weeks.

sorry if this sounded dumb.  :)

<3, Lauren

P.S.  I need a good book to read.  Any suggestions?

:edit:

I don't want everyone to think I am falling off the face of the earth.  I am just going to try to manage my time better and everything.  I am still up for hanging out if I have the time and don't be afraid to ask!  I should probably just delete this post.

it got a little windy

so the guy in the middle is Aaron Bruce... pretty much the best basketball player ever.  He is truly amazing.  And, he is such a nice guy too.  We got to meet him and talk to him a little!
