We measure weight in kilograms, u do it in pounds Distance in kilometres, u go by the miles Sorry I can't tell u how many litres' in a gallon I imagine it to be quite a challenge
Isn't it easier to divide #s by 10s and 100s? In an instant I know 75cm is .75 of a metre My face'll cringe up, thinking hard when u say 3/4 of an inch Only to lighten up going...ohhh, that's abt 2cm
When we start talking abt the weather And it's wickedly 88F or freezing ass 30F I'd start counting on my fingers Using my lil trick just to convert it to Celsius
You Americans always like to do things different Never mind that ur boy's got me smitten
I touched the piano again lately after nothing more than a glance the past couple of years. My fingers seem to have become all rigid and very uncooperative. Anyhow, I came across one of my many music sheets, one which I never got pass the 1st page since getting hold of it 10 years or so ago. Considering there are tons that I never got started 'cos they look too difficult with all the #s and bs, and some not even the first 2 bars. Others, i just make them sound like crap. Pachelbel probably turned in his grave hearing how i butchered Canon. Not to mention how my piano is in dire need of tuning and I think a string broke. Oh well.
So, wanting to hear how "The Day I Fall In Love" from the movie Beethoven's 2nd is supposed to sound like, I went on youtube. And I found this amazing fella who plays it really really well!!!!It's beautiful!!!!
There are tons of other videos he made, and they're just abt breathtaking!!!! Well, i don't know if CalikoKat is a he or she. I'm guessing it's a he but u never know these days. I'm still going thru the list of videos and still am wowed by every single one. If u've got the time, and in the mood for some piano-listening, do check them out. I can see he took great effort to record them and even provided links for mp3 download. One word: AWESOME!
p/s: I've got a weird but very nice music sheet of Pachelbel's Canon in D..Forgot if it's minor or major. I've searched all over youtube and no one seem to play this arrangement. If u're interested, do drop me a note. I'll send u the music sheet in return for wanting to know how it's supposed to sound like.

It is times like these that I wish I were back in UB, just sitting on the blocks by the roman pillars, staring at the lake, hidden from the rest of the world.
