| | The Heavens Are Crying Tonight.As I walked home today in the soft pitter-patter of the rain , my heart was filled with a feeling that I can't quite put into words. How do you feel happy, yet unbelievably sad at the same time?
Happy.
My best green friend flew in from New York and completely took me by surprise today. I was sitting at Mister Donut with several other "G" friends. One of them asked me to go to the bathroom with them. I said "sure" since I needed to go anyways. Who knew that when I came out, I would see Jean sitting right in front of me. I kept blinking my eyes to make sure I wasn't seeing things. Completely and utterly shocked. This is a girl who spent her own money to fly thousands of miles across the Pacific ocean to vote. If that's not passion, I don't know what is. I won't ever forget this day. It will last a lifetime. Thank you.
Sad.
Spent quite some time at the DPP headquarters today. The outcome was not what we wanted. But it was great to be surrounded by so many people who love and care so much about Taiwan. People of all ages, people of all walks of life. When I saw the grandmothers crying, when I saw the men crying, I simply couldn't control myself. The tears just came streaming down. So many people have poured their blood and sweat into this effort, and to hear them apologize for failing (and they have failed in no way in my eyes), it broke my heart. We truly appreciate what they have done and we are grateful. Today, we fall down, but we will stand up again, stronger than before. It is a reminder that we need to continue to push on and to never take anything for granted. For the sake of Taiwan. For the sake of 23 million people.
Thank you Hsieh. Thank you Su. And most of all, thank you A-bian.
The heavens are crying now. But tomorrow will be better.

雖然 今天的結果很令人心痛
尤其在開票完那一刻 我真的忍不住淚水了
但是 我們並沒有輸!!
人民及候選人的努力 大家都看的到
我們沒輸 我們還是贏了五百多萬人民的心!!!
雖然輸掉總統 但我們沒輸掉台灣
只要我們肯努力 肯放下悲痛繼續努力
那麼會再次找回屬於我們的一片天!!!
