| Was listening to John Mayer today...a long time since I've listened to his music. I recall being quite a fan of his at one point.
Damn.
You can tell from his music and his lyrics that he is clearly a talented and intelligent man. How in the world he can insult himself and all his fans by going out with an airhead/blow-up doll like Jessica Simpson I'll never be able to understand.
No wonder he always looks so ashamed in his photographs with her.
Others obviously agree, see below:
"It’s been weeks, it’s so public, and
still…John Mayer KNOWS. He knows his c*ck has led him astray. He knows
his brain, his good sensibility, some say even his integrity – he knows
it’s all been soiled by his libido. And so he skulks around sheepishly,
wearing a smile that can only be described as embarrassed every time we
see him dragging around his blonde fun-bags..."
"I
respected his deep articulate approach to music, I thought he was an
artist who had a profound sense of self-awareness; genuine and
authentic, someone with a "real' & "original" touch. But then i
play his music at this somewhat intellectual gathering then one guest
says,"who's that? John Mayer? Yeah that's the guy going out with that
Simpson bimbo!". People cracked jokes,l aughed, yet I was in shock, I
couldn't believe it, for me he's this special underground artist who
supposedly evolved from his old music and got recognised for his talent
in his latest album, however, not anymore, I am sorry, I can't feel his
lyrics and music the way I use to, I have a different perception of him
as an artist. He's typically shallow, common and fame-struck. I am
doubting his musical abilities now. He probably has many creative
people working for him like the rest of those "big" artists." "I'm completely with you on this! I loved his music and that he seemed
so genuine. But not he just seems like every other musician out there.
I have lost respect for him. Others have too. I still like his music.
But I see him differently now."
