  • Keeping on,Keeping on...

     Hello Everyone,

     I haven't been on here in so long! I haven't really had much to say. Imagine that(haha) It seems like it has been busy but I can't really remember what we have all been doing.

    My husband is being really annoying acting like a 2 year old making all sorts of stupid sounds right now. How come they always seem to regress back to childhood? I'm not sure why.

     My mother just celebrated her 60th birthday this past Sunday and we had a surprise party for her. She still insists that she only turned 27. I'm 38. Figure that one out- lol.

    Next Sunday the 24th- we will celebrate my Papa Clydes 80th birthday.

    I guess I am ready for winter to be over. I am finally tired of the snow. I am anxious to see the flowers start to grow and the trees bud. I Love spring!

    We booked tickets to go to Florida in May. The girls are really excited. The last time we had a family vacation was when Steven went into remisssion in 2001. So we celebrate again that he is in remission now. He has appointments for MRI's & Doctor visits in Burlington on February 26th. So if you think of it please say a prayer that all will be well. I know that I am not supposed to worry and I am trying not to, so maybe you could pray for that also. It is such a nerve racking thing. we need to talk to the Doctor about the way his personality has changed (I think from all the high dose chemo) He is definately alot louder and sometimes very obnoxious. People tell me "Well at least you should be glad that he's here and that that is all thats wrong with him." I am glad he's here and in remission but some days it gets to me that he acts this way and I have to remind myself that it's not his fault and he isn't intentionally acting that way. That it's damage to his brain.

    I have this week left with no kids to babysit & then I start with two new children on the 25th. I will have a 1 year old all day and a 4 year old a 1/2 day all week. These new ones add to the two I already have on Mondays & Tuesdays. I have a newborn coming in the middle to end of March. I enjoy having the little ones around. It will be busy, but Good! Then maybe Steven will stop pushing me to get a job. {I thought I already had one}

    I hope you all are well and that I will be able to get on sooner than later. Take care.God Bless.

  • Where are you Winter? Why can't I find you?

    Where did winter go?

     I know that alot of you don't share the same sentiment as my family and I do, and that you were glad to see the snow go. But we were not glad! We think it stinks that we had such a nice base & lots of snow for sledding. As a matter of fact before it all melted we had planned a sledding party for this Saturday to celebrate Marissa's 15th birthday. She is going to be 15 on the 15th. I can hardly believe that my baby is going to be 15!!

  • Shop until you drop

    Hello Everyone,

      First of all thanks for your prayers, Marissa was feeling better by the time we went to Burlington. The appointment wasn't for Steven. He had MRI's in November and they were all clear. Thank you Lord! We had a great time shopping. we went to Barnes & Noble. Hooray! That is my favorite place to go, except I could spend way to much money in there.We also went to The Christmas Tree Shop (great deals) then the mall , TJ Maxx, And then we headed to Plattsburgh and shopped there. I didn't really get much shopping done with the girls with me, So I am going to go to Syracuse tomorrow with Deanna & Dorie. Yippee!!! I haven't shopped til I dropped yet but i'm sure it's coming soon.

     Hope you all had a wonderful Thankgiving. We are headed over to Stevens parents house for our Thanksgiving with them. Well i better hit the road.

  • Burlington Bound

    Today @ 4:00 we are headed to Burlington with a friend to spend the night for a Dr.s appt, and to do some Christmas shopping. I haven't even started yet & I'm not sure how much I will get done with the girls with me. I miss the days of toys R us and cute little dresses and black patten leather shoes. Life was so much simpler then. Now we are in the era of  i-pods, computers and cell phones, and no way will they wear a stitch that I pick out.{ha-ha}

     I am excited for Thanksgiving . It is always so much fun to see all of the family. We have it with my family on Thursday and Stevens family on Saturday night. I can't wait for pumpkin pie!

    Please pray for Marissa, as she has a sore throat and headache and we would like her to feel well so she can have a good time shopping and swimming @ the hotel. It's a real bummer to be away when you don't feel well.

     I will update when we get home.

    Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!
