| So I figured I should update. Marie, Kathleen and I are now in Okemos. We live in neat apartment complex. It is really big, really quiet, and really close to the mall. We can walk there! I have been hired at Family Christian Stores and am looking for another job. Everything seems to take a really long time with the Red Cross here. Hopefully I'll be able to start teaching for them soon. In the meantime I'm doing a whole lot of nothing and sending out resumes and studying a bit of Japanese. I met two Japanese girls at the Secretary of State a few weeks ago and now I meet with one of them on Saturdays to work on English and Japanese. It is interesting. Please pray that I will love her. We are incredibly different and it is always easier to love people you have things in common with. We have been going to a Bible study on Wednesday evenings. We are studying Proverbs 31. Honestly, at first I was not too keen on the idea. I've been to a lot of studies on that chapter and it gets kind of annoying after a while. Is that a bad attitude to have? Anyway, it has been good and challenging - not at all stupid. On Thursday evenings, we have been going to what is called "Bottom Line." We are going through the Truth Project. The Truth Project is made through Focus on the Family and is purposed to challenge the secular worldview and show Truth. It is educational and reminds me of a book I read called "This we Believe." Bottom Line is designed so that you will bring friends to it. Bottom Line and ministry team meetings are on opposite Thursdays. I want to go to the ministry team meeting this Thurs. I would like to get involved with the worship team for the college group and would like to work in the nursery for the church. I don't know what other ministries are within the college group but I'm sure I will want to be involved with them too. I don't know though!! There have been a couple of mixers that we've gone to through Cutting Edge (the college group at South Church). People are friendly and open. On Friday we went to an 80's party. Martha, Marie and I dressed up like we were in our 80s instead of from the 80s. Oh it was fun. We got some odd looks and on the bus on the way back one guy kept looking at me like I was insane until he finally asked what was going on with my outfit. It was hilarious. I am still planning on attending SAU. I meet with an advisor tomorrow to discuss my classes. whoohoo! Joel and I have been reading through Captivating. It has been eye opening and has made me realize different things about me. Ladies, read it. You may uncover things about yourself you didn't realize or have been suppressing. Through the book and other things in life, I've been realizing how "scared" I am of rejection and being alone. I judge people and will convince myself that they would never want to be friends with me because they are way cooler than I am...because I am scared to be rejected. At Grace I would not invite myself to hang out with people if they were going somewhere cause I would be scared that they would say no...even though they were my friends. I usually wasn't asked to hang out (unless it was Kaylee or Nancy or Ruthie). So now that I know and realize it...what do I do? Where do I go from here? Any suggestions?

| Hello from sunny Battle Creek! Here is an update for...anyone who cares! I am no longer at Walgreens (at least as of right now...we'll see how the JOB SEARCH goes) but am still working at the Red Cross. In a few weeks I'll be moving to Lansing (more specifically Okemos) and will be living with Marie and Kathleen! So instead of MAM, we'll be MMK!! Haha, I just thought of that. My summer has been full of confusion and desire and questioning. There are so many options and choices...and I have no clue what will be best and what is best. So please pray for wisdom, discernment, and that I would die to my flesh. Thanks. Right now I'm still working with the senior high girls at church. I'm really thankful to have had the opportunity to work with Marcy (co-leader). She is wonderful!! She really loves the girls and they really love her. It is wonderful to see! I have to admit, at times I'm jealous of the relationship she has with them but good relationships take time. Obviously though, that will end in a few weeks. :( We are planning on attending South Church! Yay!! I don't know if I should start school in the fall or not. I have enough money for the first semester...but after that...nope. I would start in October 07 and end the first week in April...09. I don't know what to do!! Then there are more *complicated issues*. I'm not meeting with Rieko and Akiko anymore. Rieko is moving to Kentucky and Akiko is either going back to Japan in September or staying until about February. Oh please pray for them-they know the truth. I hope to continue my study of Japanese while I'm in Lansing and hopefully I'll make some good Japanese friends! Thursday marks Joel and my first year of dating! Woohoo! It has been crazy long, crazy short, and just plain interesting. God continues to amaze us with His grace. We are really stupid and stubborn but He still loves us! Joel is...amazing. I love his heart. It is what first attracted me to him in the first place and is what keeps me wanting more. God has given him a huge heart for people. His ability to care is incredible and his concern for others, their well-being and best interest is remarkable and commendable. I am really really blessed to have him in my life. I love his desire to be holy and know God. Seriously, he has changed and grown soooooooo much in the past two years. I can't even describe to you how neat it is. I am so thankful that he desires that I be holy and know God. Oh, he is so incredible! Anyway, uh, I'll try to stop talking about Joel. Uhm. Now what do I tell you? Oh! I want to make a table out of the cardboard rollers from the middle of the paper rolls I got from the photo dept. at WG. I'm really excited!! Im thinking it will be stacked 2 legs high, and then be 5x4 with glass over it to make it a flat surface. Yessss. I think I'll probably spray paint them black. Maybe...I'm not sure. We'll see. Well, I have to finish the dishes. I'll talk to you again soon!

| So I had a passionate post about my Japanese/English lesson today and about idolatry and Rieko and Akiko and how they know the truth but are choosing lies and it got deleted.
I have to go to work.
The end.

| Hahaha! So, last summer I woke up in the morning to music. I was so confused about what was going on. I knew that school had just ended so I thought oh, maybe they have a story-time during the school break for the school kids. Later that day I was telling the guys that I heard a story when I woke up. I didnt understand it but it was coming from somewhere in the town. I told Norman and he said it was the morning exercises. It made sense after that! Anyway, here is a link to some people doing the exercise! Maybe you'll be able to hear why I thought it was a story!
