my first duke class:

i was late. i also walked into the wrong room. AND,  since i was sprinting to class with a 30lb backpack, my clothes were drenched.

the class went around saying their names, and when we got to mine, the TA is like, "um... you're not on my list"

great.

when i got to my REAL class, the TA is actually already teaching. none of that "hey, how's it going, freshmen? welcome to duke."
it was like "BAM! PROPAGATION OF ERROR. take that! yea! DIE, freshmen, DIE"

anyway...
1) still dont have enuf prom pics to post
2) i'm going to CHINA on sunday!!!!!!!! two weeks
3) i got a job! my mom works at chevrontexaco, so she asked her manager if I could intern there. i'll start the week after i get back from China and work for two months
4) hallelujah!! i got the position i really, really wanted in the psychology research lab at duke!!! im so excited! i start this fall.
5) i heart my small group dearly. here are pics of me and my lovelies:

rachel, the ring leader ~ rach, i am SO blessed to have u as my small group leader. the fact that we're in the same grade made it kinda weird at first, but it has been a true blessing because i am able to be more open and relaxed. i'm so glad our friendship has blossomed this past year, and that i can turn to u for comfort, advice, and most of all, prayer. you're so lively, joyful, funny, compassionate, wise, and .... musical

mel, tiff. ah, my dear cuties. ya'll have SUCH pure hearts, and i pray that you keep God the number one love of your life! truly, it has been a great pleasure to have fellowship with you guys. mel, you are so delightful, and tiff, you are so funny!

anyway, i'm so blessed to have become close friends with you, because i know you're really quiet, so for you to tell me so much about your life really makes me feel honored that u trust me. i sincerely hope that we will maintain our fellowship and continue to pray for each other =)

helen~ never did i know that dance class would let us make a friendship that we would later build upon in small group! you are really intelligent; we have a lot in common
