the third

I'm a bit late (as it seems others are...), but I have completed this, the third, Xanga Photo Scavenger Hunt.  Thanks to Haley for hosting.

1. a collection

100_1957

Not everywhere I have been... but definitely some favorites!

2. bare

100_1949

Wow, now I know how gross my feet look!

3. dark

100_1926

This originally was going to be my "where you live" but it just turned out so dark!

4. your name

100_1951

I saved the nametag from my sister-in-law's baby shower.

5. snow

100_1952

I really didn't think I was going to come up with "snow", but I found this while I was looking for a birthday card.

6. reversed

100_1935

So original, I know.

7. mud

100_1943

One of my mother's plants.  It's wet, I promise.

8. box

100_1962

Who wants to play a game with me???  As you can see, the Pictionary hasn't even been opened...

9. corn

100_1963

I LOVE creamed corn!!!

10. cozy

100_1960

When I want to get cozy, I just go to this collection!

11. bridge

100_1924

Approaching the Hennepin Ave bridge over the Mississippi, the route that I take out of downtown without the I-35W bridge.

12. where you live

100_1931

Yep.  The city.  Not the exact exit...  (Although this would be the exit to Bethel, where I used to live!)

13. hot

100_1964

Seriously.  I thought my camera would melt!

14. trash

100_1905

Ew.

15. phone booth

Um... I didn't know where to find one these days!

16. organic

100_1967

My mom seems to like this stuff.

17. birthday

100_1955

One of the best birthday cards ever.  It actually had a picture of me on the front!  (Thanks Hannah!)

18. classic

100_1966

I think I somehow need to include Coke every time.

19. cup

100_1904

This is my friend Allison with her water cup on the way to the Twins game.

20. bliss

100_1737

This picture is actually a few weeks ago, but does it get better than this???

21. something borrowed

100_1934

It's Eric's CD.  I accidently borrowed it, but purposely kept it.

22. soul

100_1945

There's plenty of soul in this reading.  Unfortunately, I have not finished any of them!  Ah!

23. monster

Ya lost me on this one!

24. imagination

100_1927

(The local Christian radio station.)  Someday, my music will be on the radio!

It's really hard to take good self portraits with a phone...

Here I am again!

I can't believe how hard it is to actually get to the computer and actually want to write something!  Geesh!  In case you all were worried, the tooth came out fine, and the mouth healed ridiculously quickly.  The wallet however, has not yet healed, and I must say, that is the most frustrating part of life right now.  I've had to reinforce some extreme discipline over the last couple of weeks.  Uffda.

I've finished two weeks of my summer school route.  Surrounding those 20 hours of work are band practices, church, other musical opportunities, grad parties, a baby shower, a soccer game, random get-togethers with friends and lots and lots of naps!  I can't complain.

I have Fridays off, which is a strange adjustment.  Last Friday was spent at Fish Lake with some musical girlfriends, after which I ended up with some pretty great sunburn on my shoulders- oops!  It was a beautiful day though!

Today, I have made bits of accomplishment around the house, and spent time curling my hair, because that's just fun sometimes...  But can I just tell you that I am not a fan of laundry?  I am absolutely fine with scooping it up, carrying it to the washing machine and then getting the machine going.  But after that, it's a struggle... especially the putting-away part.  I HATE putting clean clothes away.  What is that about???

I've been in a bit of correspondence lately with some high school friends regarding my upcoming TEN YEAR (can you believe it?) reunion scheduled in July.  I haven't decided if I want to go.  Perhaps I am unnecessarily nervous that there will be much awkwardness.  But I simply am anticipating several awkward conversations!  I mean, 10 years is a LOT to catch up on... so I don't know what parts of my life I should divulge to people, honestly, that I really don't care about anyway...  There are a few people I'm sure I would love to see.  But if it's anything like my 5-year-reunion, I will go home feeling like I had one worthwhile conversation.  One.  With a friend whose family attends my church, so I don't need a reunion to connect to!

To add to the decision-making, I'm supposed to send a $40 check no later than two weeks prior, in order to hold my spot.  I just don't know if the $40 is worth it!  I've been told that the fee includes reservation of a fine restaurant downtown and the hors d'oeuvres... but doesn't that seem like a lot?  Maybe that's just me... at least I don't have to pay for two people...

At the same time, I've always been the kind of person to not want to miss out on anything.  So I'll end up going for that purpose...  Guess I'll keep you posted.  Does anyone have any thoughts on such occasion???

The band is playing at Corner Coffee tonight and it should be a really fun time.  Lots of our friends are going to be able to be there and it's just a great atmosphere and place I enjoy being!  Most of the set is new songs that I am still learning, so that could be a bit interesting, but, oh well!  I suppose I should charge my camera batteries so I can have pictures...

Adios amigos!
