| HungoverI found myself feeling incredibly uncomfortable this morning. I went to an event last nite and had waaay too much bubbly. I actually think I only had a few glasses but the lack of food in my stomach due to the crazy weekend has really taken a toll on my body. Loss of appetite and feeling loopy this entire week has made me realize that going nuts isn't exactly what I want to do. I also quit smoking people. Not that I was crazy addicted, but when I started buying cartons of White YSLs simply for the packaging, who knew that it would get me smoking so often. Anyways, I always told myself I'd rid of this habit at 25. If you have smoke free lungs for 30 years, its like having healthy lungs all ur life... so i'm trying to cheat with this. I haven't worked out all week but since I've been feeling loopy, I'll make a point to hit the gym or run at least. My family has a history of cardiac problems, especially on my father's side. I think my heart has been doing quite well now but if I can alleviate my carbon-covered lungs from tar, it'll help even more! As for updates, the work has been pouring in non-stop. I find myself trying to book ME TIME cuz of the shows and meetings and shoots I have to be ready for. God has really been looking after me. I think this is also a milestone for me, I haven't been this single for sooooooo long. I find myself getting smitten and enjoying the flirt flirt thing and not have to worry about hurting ppl or trying to question what stage of a relationship I've been in. I just laugh and move on. It's really liberating! Upcoming stuff: FHM - Will be featured in June. Lost the cover to Charlize Theron. :( Randomania - 11th Hour Screening + BMW Shorties 2008 Gua Centre - Episode 5 | | |
| Birthday Bliss
I had my birthday yesterday and I spent it with some close friends. Usually Facebook has a reminder and so a couple hundred messages poured into my email and was greeted with warm wishes! I had a fabulous birthday. From the weekend at Tiesto in Port Dickson's Admiral Marina to a nice bbq with some close buddies. Tonight, I finished it off with a ladies dinner with my close friends and lots of Thomas Sabo charms!!! LOVIN IT!!! This weeked Velvet is gonna be a crazy party night!!!! Of course - I dont have pictures because my camera was stolen. Not going to talk about it. But waiting for friends to post up pics first! Going camera shopping soon!
| All in a day's work!
I wrapped up a 10hr shoot last nite and woke up just past noon by another phone call for another job. At moments like this, its probably a great thing. But it does take a bit of a toll on me... I think there were lots of people close family members/family friends that worried a little too much over the safety of being back in KL. "It's not safe Sarah" "You don't know the roads..." Despite them not believing I could do it, I have. And I think I'm starting to earn some serious coin for being here only 3 months. I've learned to love this city and enjoy it. My friends of course have been instrumental and the best part is that I have been making lots of progress so far. I went out with a friend to eat by SS2, not really far from his humble abode and spending time with him and keeping him company as he keeps mine makes me happy. I had a phone call from Mr. So-n-So and that's going down to shits. Probably because people like progressing in relationships and I'm simply content with looking after my career. I dont care to be someone's gf nor do I care to layan his grumpiness when he's tired. We're not in a stage where I'll still look after u, cuz I dont fucking care. hhhahah instead, hanging out with my buds on a monday evening or having brunch on a sunday afternoon is probably more exciting than he'll ever be. I had a good relaxing day today. I didnt end up doing laundry like I was supposed to, and I'll be digging thru my undies drawer for a nice nude thong for tomorrow's shoot. Did I mention I had 3? Yes, an astounding 3 shoots all in one day. All in different areas of the city. I'm extremely excited but not too happy about the long hours. Thank God I've spaced them at least 2-3 hrs apart in case I want to go home and nap or wash my face. I was supposed to start a project on May 1, but I think I'm gonna postpone it till the Monday. Random update, but thought i'd share that I'm still alive.
| Shawn Cutler TreatI needed a touch-up badly and I hopped down to my local Bangsar neighbourhood to check out Shawn Cutler's new salon on Jalan Telawi 2. I was greeted by Shawn himself and he knew exactly how to diagnose my drab locks. We did a nice mahogany/ash brown dye and then used some crazy micro-mist steaming on my hair for a deep conditioning treatment. The blow-dry was fantastic, not too curly and not too straight, but a nice sexy wave for my night out! Definitely going back and I've had non-stop compliments as well! WOOT WOOT to finding a new salon in KL. I've had to say bye to pink-haired Young at House of Lords on Yonge (and Church) in Toronto. Glad it didn't take too many mishaps before I found a salon closeby!!! | | |
| Rox/sta
I had a photoshoot a couple weekends ago with a new fashion start-up. I've been all antsy about the pics cuz I love em! Knowing me.. i'm always so anxious to put up the photos and I was supposed to wait at least until the launch of their collection. The shoot went smoothly and working with both art directors were great too...and of course compliments to the photographer who touched up my very badly scarred legs from mosquito bites here. Kudos to the team - and the geeky delivery guy too! Be sure to stay tuned for the launch of www.roxstastudio.com!
