Engagement

Yukio and I are ENGAGED!! :)

The Story (WARNING: haha it will probably be a long story, just scroll to the pics for shorten version):
Approximately one month ago, Miss Kaitlyn Park had called and asked me to come up to San Jose to spend the weekend with her and Michelle. Since us girls are all living in different cities, she emphasized how much we needed a girls weekend. At first I was thinking, oh my goodness...fly up for $120 for 2 days? so i hesitated a little. After being a little reluctant and thinking how uneconomical this would be, I agreed to go for the girls :)

On Friday (June 8)
I got off work a little early and Yukio drove me to the airport for a 3pm flight. When I arrived in San Jose, us girls were reunited and so excited for the weekend! The girls kept talking about how much fun we would have together and how long it's been since we saw one another. Being the generous friend she is, Kaitlyn scheduled massages for all three of us at Burke Williams for Saturday morning.

Meanwhile, back in LA, after Yukio dropped me off at the airport, he quickly picked up the ring (which was shipped over night...sweating bullets and hoping that he got it in time), got a nice haircut (since he knew I would probably think it's strange he got one during the week when his hair still looked okay), and then had his mom take him to the airport.

Back in San Jose, at dinner, us girls met up with some SJ friends and ate Korean BBQ. After dinner, Joe and Becky kept telling us that they had to leave early to go and clean the house since their relative was visiting them for the week. Little did I know that they had to leave early because they were actually picking up Yukio from the airport at 10pm. During this whole time, I had thought Yukio was at our Church Cluster get together, which was at my apt back in LA.
Knowing I would be out of town,Pastor Steve had previously asked to use my apt so that I would think Yukio was still in LA to open my apt for them.

On Saturday (June 9)
Saturday morning, thinking I would be going to a massage, I woke up and just brushed my teeth and tied up my hair. The girls picked me up at 10am and we were on our way to SF for the massages. On the way up there, Kaitlyn and Michelle mentioned that they wanted to stop by and take pics at this really nice area Michelle spotted during the week. Of course, being a girl, I said, "Okay, but can we go after our massages? I haven't showered and I have no makeup on." As we arrived in San Francisco, to my surprise they stopped by the Palace of Fine Arts. I was thinking, "Is Burke Williams here?" The girls quickly responded and said they wanted to take the pictures right now. At that moment, I knew something was going on and realized ..."oh my gosh, he's gonna propose, oh my gosh."

We walked to the Rotunda, and Yukio walked out with a bouquet of flowers. He walked to me an area where he had setup a circle of roses and proposed :)

Here are the pics......

Kaitlyn, Me and Michelle...the best girlfriends ever :)

After the proposal, Yukio made plans to spend the entire day in SF.

Lunch at Cliffhouse Sutra

Then we went to Sausalito for a few hours and got massages (of course in separate rooms)

Lastly, he took me to Union Square for dinner at Morton's Steakhouse. Mmmm..food was delicious!

Afterwards, we headed back down to San Jose to grab some dessert and drinks with friends at Left Bank at Santa Row. Cheers!

On Sunday (June 10)

Sunday Morning, Yukio and I celebrated some more and had breakfast with my family:
